If you're about to complete any achievement diary, please help me test my theory on keeping the old reward item.

For example if you're about to complete the Wilderness Hard Diary, die with like 5 wilderness sword 2 and make sure they stay in death's coffer

Complete the Hard diary, claim a bunch of Wilderness Sword 3 (make sure the diary is 100% completed, xp lamp used and all)

and then try to take the level 2 swords out of your coffer, and see if they're going to stay as level 2 swords, get auto-upgraded to level 3, or just go poof

I'd love to keep my western banner 3; since its a giant gnome child banner

I'm not super close to any diary, so I cant test myself for a while

I'm trying to flinch Tekton, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Tekton will often be in the middle of an attack animation and then just stand up and go to the anvil. I have followed a couple guides on youtube, and they all are of dubious quality. Sometimes I can have like 15 or 16 cycles in and back, and sometimes I get like 2 before he anvils. Any recommendations?

The strat I'm doing is to have Tekton's true tile indicated. When he is 2 tiles away from me, I swing and back up a step. Then, during Tekton's attack animation, I click attack, wait for my true tile to change to be adjacent to Tekton, and then click back. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't

yes, but the problem is that whenever you start up the cycle, it's different the first time you do it and the 2nd+ time, because he's enraged

you can't start the cycle at the same time if he's enraged

Free to Play Tileman is HARD. This is all I've done in 18 hours
I can't really decide what is the best way to proceed, because there isn't really a convenient access to anything quicker than oak or willow cutting and burning.
I don't have fletching to make FAT XP from, and the nearest ores are the Champion's guild.
I only learned by doing this that non-members have access to the Riven Lum canoes too!

I did end up rebooting and it's fixed. I had to go into registry settings in windows and make it use UTC instead of local time.

Apparently the issue is becuase Ubuntu uses UTC and when I boot Ubuntu it sets the hw clock to UTC. When I boot Windows the HW clock is still UTC, so the time is wrong because Windows uses local time

How long does 1000 crystal shards worth of charges keep Crystal Armor well charged up [all 3 parts]

Lets say I finish CG with 3000 shards (would be super lucky), and instnatly spend 2000 to curropt the bowfa; now I have 1k left over for armor charges

will that 1k last a good while?

the wiki page doesnt have like "X charges last Y hours" like it does for moons/barrows/etc

I dont need exact numbers, just like if 1k shards worth of charges will me a while or not

on average you will finish with 3800 shards for 400 kills

so you will have a ton, but the thing is, you will want to use shards on divine pots, so those 1000 will not only be used for charging the armor

if you reserve 1k for armor, you will never have to worry about the armor pretty much

that's because barrows degrades no matter what after 15 hours of combat

whereas crystal armor degrades one charge per succesful hit

so if you pray with 100% dmg prevention, it doesn't drain charges

so crystal armor generally lasts for a ton of time

the reason I thought of the idea is I was talking to my main friend, and he was buying gear sets

and then when it came to buying the hats, it was like "lol what hat, I wear the slayer helm"

and it feels like thats kinda true, helmets are like the least popular item piece; and not just because of stats

it wouldnt be a common item, so its not like overnight slayer helms are dead content

rancour is literally 2 more strength bonus and 10 accuracy and is a massive upgrade

being able to use oathplate helm + slayer helmet would be a massive dps buff

but because many 'end game content' aren't even able to be done with a slayer mask it might be fine

it would probably be the most significant powercreep that isn't a weapon released in a long time

since it would affect all 3 combat styles

it would definitely have the effect you wanted though, which is increase demand for helmets

i did a custom item calc on GearScape (had to use it to creat custom items) and this is the dps difference with max setup with a nox halberd

i combined the infernal cape with the oathplate helmet to make the the most cracked cape to simulate it

so yeah it would give you 3 max hits and 1% more accuracy, not too bad

in this setup

You don't have to follow exactly. Anything under 45 is still valid, also there's stuff in the other methods section that works too
