Runelite doesn't register his mouse unless he holds down a button on it. When a sidebutton is being held the game registers both hover and clicks. It looks like the window loses focus on his mouse. Tried different mice - both wireless and wired.

Idk if this is something people can help with but it’s worth a shot. Today out of nowhere I can’t open runelite with the jagex launcher. I’ve tried reinstalling both launcher and runelite. Im sure this issue has been pounded to oblivion, but here goes, my hard drive crashed in my computer losing all my files runelite profiles etc included, ive redownloaded runelite onto the essentially blank computer and logged into my RL account at the top (the green login symbol) now i assumed I could just go to profiles and my settings were linked to my account, my plugins and setups are all gone only thing listed is a default one, any advice or am I starting fresh getting all my plugins and such back

Having issues using runelite while using Proton VPN. I understand Jagex is anti-VPN but Proton comes with an exclude list, which works just fine on the official client via desktop and the mobile app. Runelite however doesn't seem to work well with the exclude feature, even when exluding the entire runelite launcher. Any thoughts on what I can do here?

I get to the login screen and hit "Play Now" only to be hit with the "Failed to Login. Please try again." Again, exlcludes work just fine with the official client.

Do ironmen and mains have fundamentally different poh loading experiences? My iron loads into the poh flawlessly. Black loading screen into loading in. hi there, my game is freezing after i log in, the window bar says my username meaning it logs in to my account, but the screen is just frozen at "connecting to server" and it never goes into the actual game, its only happening with runelite, mobile and normal client work fine. Any clue?

@gentle wind Many plugins from the pluginhub break the client in subtle or not-so-subtle ways, including causing issues like client freezes. We do not support pluginhub plugins because we do not make or quality control them, and do not recommend their use.

Run the RuneLite (safe mode) shortcut, or with a Jagex account, first run the RuneLite (configure) shortcut and tick the Safe mode box, then launch RuneLite via the Jagex launcher.

This temporarily disables the GPU plugin and all hub plugins which will allow you to confirm the issue is caused by one of those plugins and isn't a core RuneLite issue.
If the issue is caused by a hub plugin, you should isolate which plugin it is and then uninstall the plugin.

hello, i have been playing for a while now on classic mode fixed, with the gpu and stretched plugin. I started bossing and part of that involves tile markers. Ever since i have tile markers, i can see how the outline of the tiles visibly shake when i move around

i know this is a scaling issue, but even inter scaling has it once u go 2x or higher. Was wondering if there is a known workaround

Some sounds are missing for me in ToB. For example Sote attack sound, Xarpus spit sound and P2 Verzik squeaky sound. Tried turning off Annoyance mute as well as ToB related plugins. Both Area sounds and Sound effects are turned on. Any ideas?

Figured it out. Thought you might wanna know incase someone else has the same problem. If the volume slider is left of the 2'nd rivet thing like the picture on the left the sounds are gone. If they are to the right of the second rivet thing the sounds are back. I used to keep both at 5% before the update.

My runelite keeps disconnecting and messing up my inferno runs. The kicker is that my computers connection is fine. The Windows "RunAs" Shortcut

You can "trick" Windows into running two separate instances of the launcher using a second Windows User profile.

1. Create a second Windows User (e.g., "OSRS_Alt") on your PC and give it a password.

2. Log into that user once, open the Jagex Launcher, and log into your second Jagex account. Ensure "Remember Me" is checked.

3. Switch back to your main Windows account.

4. Create a Desktop Shortcut for the Jagex Launcher.

5. Right-click the shortcut > Properties > Target and change it to the following (replacing YourAltUsername with the name of the second Windows user you created):

runas /user:YourAltUsername /savecred "C:\Program Files (x86)\Jagex Launcher\JagexLauncher.exe"

6. When you run this shortcut for the first time, it will ask for that Windows user's password. After that, it will remember it, and you can open both launchers side-by-side.

Give that a try

or you can try contacting Jagex support to ask them to merge the two like the other guy said before deleting his message, but I'd honestly try to avoid having to go through them

Got a weird question,
Multiple instances my client ends up lagging as I teleport or run through chunks, end up at 1 frame per 30 seconds, end up force closing
Usually this happens after having my client open for a few hours, starts small and gets notificibly worse, especially teleporting to priff a few times, Doom or Colosseum

Same as TOA, even on a fresh client load, I end up having my client crash going into Baba or wardens P3 even using GPU

I have been having an issue with Runelite on Linux where my client resizes itself if it has been closed even though my runelite settings have "Lock Window Size" enabled. I play with stretched mode enabled too. Is this a known issue/is there a fix? Currently I have to go into the Runelite settings and increase then decrease the "Game Size" pixels by 1 and it fixes the window size, but it would be nice to not have to do this.

Some things with the issue ive noticed.

Happens more frequently in newer zones when mostly alone. Sailing/Gryphon Slayer task.

Also had it happen allot in GotR (Entity Hider reduced the frequency).

Temp fixes:
Turn on/off GPU plugin or HD plugin (both have same issue and frequency).

I have tried:
Adding the Runelite.exe to Nvidia app to adjust settings.
Turning of V-sync (G-sync still on).
Reinstalling Runelite.
Deleting Cache (both runelite and jagex for a fresh clean install).

RuneLite cache (located at %userprofile%.runelite\cache on Windows or ~/.runelite/cache on macOS/Linux) stores temporary game data, which can be cleared to fix crashes, loading errors, or visual bugs. Deleting this folder forces a fresh download of game assets upon restart.

Just want to report a bug. The 3 hardwood tree patches on fossil island seem to have some visual issues. The ‘state’ of the tree does not match what I can see. I currently have 3 hardwood trees growing there but only 1 has the visual for a stage 3/9 tree. The other two look like patches that need weeding, however when I examine them I get the usual “This is a hardwood tree patch. The soil has been treated with ultra compost. The patch has a mahogany tree growing in it and is at state 3/9”

I just did a fresh windows installation and installed runelite which generated the .runelite folder and signing in loaded all my data the cloud sync could load. I did copy my .runelite folder from my old computer drive onto an external drive ready to copy that onto my "new pc".

just wanted to confirm something before I do anything- do I need to delete the new .runelite folder that just generated before I copy my old .runelite folder into the same place the current one is? or do I need to delete what is inside the new .runelite folder and then copy the old contents into the new one or?

I've been starting down the road of plugin development; new to java. I was able to successfully start from the Example Plugin using the provided gradle script to run RuneLite in developer with the plugin to test it out.

My next step was to try adding a small enhancement to the Dink plugin and create a PR to that repo. Running the gradle script dink provides builds the plugin jar, but I'm not sure how to run RL in developer mode with that plugin to test my enhancement as that Gradle script doesn't seem to launch RL directly. Anyone able to help guide me through getting that running?

Well, it seems to be running now and I can see my changes in RuneLite, despite the errors being thrown by IntelliJ. No errors are being thrown by RuneLite so I think it's just an IntelliJ issue. Thank you everyone for the help!

turn it off, set integer scaling, or change ui scaling option in GPU plugin

Hello guys, since last week I randomly started getting alot of stutters, lag and the attempting to reconnect message and I really cant find the problem my pc has good specs for osrs and no internet issues and im always 80 to 90ms. I tried deleting the launcher and runelite and downloading it again but this didn't fix anything.

Odd one, every time I restart my PC I have to reinstall my GPU drivers before I can use the GPU plugin in RuneLite. No other games have issues, and this only started semi-recently. Once I've reinstalled my drivers I have zero issues.

Prior to reinstalling I experience slight lag, flickering and if I try to turn the GPU plugin off the client freezes. It doesn't crash, and if I re enable the GPU plugin I can play again but still experience the flickering.

also i doubt you play many browser games from the early 2000s that have also managed to get gpu working

the latest updates are much more likely to cause you issues with rl than current day games

interesting. I can try to revert and see if that fixes it but if not I guess I'll wait for a new Windows version. I've gotten in the habit of reinstalling my drivers on launch now so it doesn't particularly bother me

i'm having an issue regarding my Runelite profiles any syncing them together. i recently got a Windows Surface Pro with Runelite and have enabled cloud sync between all accounts. i can't get any changes on my PC's Runelite for a specific profile to duplicate on my tablet and vice versa. for example, i made a new tag tab on PC and it won't appear on my tablet. I've restarted Runelite completely for each of them and ensured they are synced on the cloud. they only show what was on there upon initially syncing

To find the logs, you can do one of the following:

• If your client failed to open, click the Open logs folder button.
• Open the screenshot directory by right-clicking 📷 Camera button, navigate 1 directory up, then open logs folder.
• Navigate to %userprofile%\.runelite\logs on Windows or $HOME/.runelite/logs on Linux and macOS.

Upload the log files named client and launcher by dragging them to Discord. If there are files prefixed with jvm_crash dated from today, upload them too.

I recently got a new laptop (5070 gpu, 32gb ram, i9 processor)

whenever I go to resize my runelite (make it a bit wider), the client crashes and freezes up my entire laptop for a solid minute or two.

any ideas?
