Hello, I was having some issues with my runelite client. I was playing just fine earlier today, but now all of a sudden my game freezes on the welcome to Gelinor page when logging in. I’ve tried reinstalling and restarting my laptop but nothing has worked.

The Bank tags plugin is not displaying a 0 as far as I am aware. At the very least, inventory setups is not doing any drawing or rendering or handling layouts. It’s all done by bank tags. That’s why I suggest to users to make an issue with bank tags

I think this is because your hespori bank tag is actually using the bank tag layouts plugin (or no layout at all and just using bank tags)

there are two systems in place now for bank tag layouts
bank tag layouts and adamlayouts (i think its referred to as at least) which was made when potion storage broke bank tag layouts

bank tag layouts displays the placeholder greyed out with stack of 0 like the base runescape bank and bank tags plugin
adamlayouts displays placeholders without the 0
inventorysetups switched to using adamlayouts for compatibility (iirc) so will have the quirks of that system

to swap between them, right click a tag tab and disable current layout then enable the layout for the system you wish to use
without bank tag layouts plugin, there is only one option for enable/disable layout which will be the adamlayouts
with bank tag layouts plugin, there will be two options with the one for adamlayouts prepended with (base runelite) instead to differentiate them

however, inventory setups has no settings to swap back to using bank tag layouts
the only solution would be to raise an issue to add the placeholder 0 into adamlayouts or to see if inventory setups will add a workaround

Both boss timers, boosts information and timers & buffs are all enabled. I have restarted Runelite many times but nothing seems to work? Even if I try to play on a new runelite profile

If the issue is caused by a hub plugin, you should isolate which plugin it is and then uninstall the plugin.

I tried adding my plugin to the Plugin Hub but it got denied within minutes, saying something like Dink already provides the same value. I don’t really agree with that, and honestly it’s not true.

I’ve built this as a unique solution for a pretty big niche, and I’ve put a lot of hours into it. Having it denied that fast, without any real explanation or chance to talk about it, just feels bad. Like the actual value of what I made wasn’t looked at.

What’s the process here? How can I actually talk with someone about why it was denied and what I can do to fix it or show why it should be fine?

I think as a plugin developer you could use many different protocols for the same end-goal. I don't know why it sould be such a requirement to use X protocol, if the protocol is not the main function for the end user.

My former clan had a discord bot that integrated with messages from dink where you could start and end pking sessions and would come up with splits automatically. I think basically ~all the things you're doing are actually doable with Dink if you just focused on writing a bit of middleware.

That would come with the bonus of not having to wait on hub reviews whenever you wanted to make changes, and Dink supports importing and exporting settings so it's pretty easy for even non technical end users as long as they can read fairly simple instructions

Hi all, Im running into an issue with my runelite in which my client crashes when I am in Kruk's dungeon fighting maniacal monkeys. I haven't had any issues with crashes prior to this. well-behaved apps should follow the xdg base directory specification. and any apps that act as wrappers/launchers around other clients should allow the client to retain its own file structure. as steam does with its own prefix and the c drive when using proton. as the anime launcher does with genshin. and any other meaningful example

Back with my eternal issue of the Ground Items plugin.
TLDR - can't adjust the highlighted items at all, removing or adding.

I did some digging and I can see that the hidden section works just fine.
Regarding the highlighted items, it is impossible to change anything there. I tried adding these items to the hidden list, which did techniqley worked since they're still there, but effectively nothing changed; they're still highlighted.
I made a short video that shows the issue clearly, as well as an example of how "stuck" these items are - you can clearly see in the video that even as soon as I'm resetting the list it immediately returns to be highlighted on the ground.
Also I did some serious cleaning of all other plugins and removed everything I could.

Any 7900xtx driver that doesn't tank fps? I seen on github 22.5.1 was one (possibly last?) stable driver for runelite but that was released back in 2022 and doesn't support 7900xtx.

In val i'm tanking to ~10fps with gpu, ~12fps gpu (experimental) [80 draw, 3 extended for both]. ~1440p res. Task manager says it's using 100% GPU and trying to do anything while running in civi causes entire pc to run slow.

Comparatively asked friend to do the same tile and setup as me only difference between our pc's is he has a 5090 and 4k resolution. he was getting 180fps.

Likes of varrock even tank fps flipflopping around 40-60 fps (first world problems but with specs i'd expect alot more expecially when old gtx1080 done better than this)

You can probably get away with just using GPU experimental from the plugin hub. Generally that performs a lot better on AMD cards although there is the possibility of some bugginess or instability

surprised you still reply to this vpn stuff lol. fwiw i did a few tests jumping between worlds and checking in game delay. and it did seem that i was connecting to the game through my home server. there would be obvious delay on a world that normally has 40ms if the displayed 400ms was accurate. but then changing to AUS for example i still have the same delay despite the vpn being closer. so i can only assume the split tunnel works.

There isn't one - RuneLite doesn't get accurate HP information so it has to estimate based on the size of the rendered healthbar and known maximums of HP (mobs like Doom that have variable max health depending on depth have more trouble for this reason)

Basically 13 and 14th generation Intel CPUs have an issue where they basically cook themselves resulting in irreversible hardware damage which manifests itself as instability. It's a progressive issue and for reasons we don't really understand, RuneLite seems to be particularly susceptible to the stability problems that result, so it's pretty often the first place where people experience issues.

Intel eventually resolved to root cause in microcode 0x12f so anyone on any other version should more or less immediately install any BIOS updates. It can't reverse the existing damage, but it will at least stop it from getting worse

Usually people have been able to get the affected CPUs RMAed but once the damage is there, a replacement is really the only fix

I searched through previous posts and have seen people with 9070xt's having performance issues in runelite, but in the vast majority of the game i have no issues. But inside raids (specifically toa) some bosses massively drop framerates for me to sub 20. P3 Warden while hes doing the ground smash being the worst one ive encountered. Is there anything i can do about this.

I have tried 117 and gpu and the problem persists with both and neither of them on.

typically if the lag is only at certain areas, especially like raids/bosses, its caused from a plugin that is trying to do something in that area

this is intended behaviour from 117 HD's end, but I guess ideally RuneLite would recognize this as not underground. Are you just using the RuneLite skybox plugin to make the sky color configurable?

I have an issue where the client works, loads runescape fine and then after a few seconds just freezes?
It's a new issue (been working fine for months), and its only runescape which has frozen, other areas of the runelite client is fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the jagex launcher and runelite but issue still persists.

Preface: appreciate everything the Authors and Contributes do for the RuneLite project and I understand that everyone here are volunteers so I will respect everyone's time so apologies if this message comes across as rude and impatient.

Since the 29th of September the plugin https://github.com/MitchBarnett/wiki-bank-tag-integration has been broken due to an upstream osrs WIKI api update (raised here https://github.com/MitchBarnett/wiki-bank-tag-integration/issues/31), we have a fix in place https://github.com/MitchBarnett/wiki-bank-tag-integration/pull/32 but unfortunately the author and contributors cannot be reached to merge this pr and restore functionality.

We have raised a pr to transfer ownership of the plugin here https://github.com/runelite/plugin-hub/pull/9187 so we can restore functionality ourselves. (been open for a few days with no comments yet)

Is there a way to expedite this process e.g. raise to a contributor directly for review so we can remedy this broken plugin?

Many plugins from the pluginhub break the client in subtle or not-so-subtle ways, including causing issues like client freezes. We do not support pluginhub plugins because we do not make or quality control them, and do not recommend their use.

Run the RuneLite (safe mode) shortcut, or with a Jagex account, first run the RuneLite (configure) shortcut and tick the Safe mode box, then launch RuneLite via the Jagex launcher.

This temporarily disables the GPU plugin and all hub plugins which will allow you to confirm the issue is caused by one of those plugins and isn't a core RuneLite issue.
If the issue is caused by a hub plugin, you should isolate which plugin it is and then uninstall the plugin.

I'm trying to use Menu Entry Swapper to swap the Spirit Tree + Fairy Ring in my PoH so that Tree is left click and Fairy Ring (configure) is shift-click. But it's treated as a different object depending on what the last Fairy Ring destination is. Hello! So when I went to a friends house and used his computer. After signing into jagex and runelite all my addons synched to his computer with no issues (about 9 days ago). Unfortunately my computer croaked and I just replaced it. But now that I'm trying to sync my account stuff, it is refusing to sync... any ideas?

You logged into runelite (door in the top bar is red)? You switched to the profile?

Yes and yes. Also made sure to enable sync.

If you enabled sync on the new pc it may have overwritten the cloud profile. Can you screenshot the whole runelite client with the profiles tab open?

I'd always recommend renaming default. I'm not 100% sure how name conflicts work but yea I think you overwrote your cloud default with a new empty default

You can follow that to check your profiles folder and see if there's one thats a larger size

Last question sorry. Would I be able to recover the files from my firends computer that I had logged into? Even tho he would have logged me out and signed back into his account?

I'd hate to lose years worth of bank and inventory setups

Hi guys, i recently switched to a 2560x1440 high res monitor and now runelite is very tiny. Ive tried using stretched mode at 20% and played with all UI scaling modes but nothing gives a crisp image in terms of text and inventory etc. I also tried setting display scaling to 125% which makes everything a nice size but just too blurry. Also tried high DPI settings but nothing gets it quite like my older monitor. Is there maybe something i havent tried in terms of settings or a combination of settings that gets the blurriness away? I play in resizable classic layout. Any help is much appreciated!

Try installing the GPU experimental plugin from the hub and change the UI scaling mode to hybrid if it's not already

or if you use 117 HD, it's named Pixel there for the time being

Can try integer scaling in stretched mode. Window (or ui in resizable) wont be a perfect size, but the pixels on the ui will look the same as default just zoomed in. Unless you want the ui to actually be hd ofc.

Switched to the one I use on my non - iron account, even imported the same bank layout, and it worked fine. But I try using THAT profile on THIS account, and suddenly it stops working again?

When I try exporting this tag tab (which you can see is messed up because the scroll bar is solid on the right) to the online runelite banktabs thing, it is showing A TON of extra items that aren't actually in the tab? I'm wondering if maybe that has something to do with the issue?

And ik you guys said it wasn't potion storage related - but if I switch my main account (no potion storage) onto the RL profile my iron is using (with potion storage), these tags all work on the main, but not on the iron. That's the only difference. Same plugins, same settings, etcetc.

in the amount of time you've spent typing about it you could've regenerated that bank tag/recreate it under a name like r2ange tob, deleted original range tob and renamed r2ange tob to range tob

And as someone who generally plays in fixed, it kinda sucks because you cant access the bottom portion of what's supposed to be in the tab.

brand new default profile same issue. You can see the VERY SLIGHT ability to scroll on the right, which sometimes happens, but is just enough for me to see the quantities of the items in the first row I cannot access.

Just to throw this in there too, if it helps. Two different accounts, SAME Runelite profile, same bank tag loaded on screen (because same runelite profile).

the only difference between these accounts is total bank slots and potion storage

That's what I'm saying though, this is a completely new issue for me. I unlocked potion storage MONTHS ago. This just randomly started happening overnight, without me installing any new plugins, changing any settings, etc.

My iron has max bank slots, is the only thing different than most other accounts, but that's not new either.

And believe it or not... I think that is the issue.

Did a huge string of clue scrolls recently - hadnt put rewards in PoH storage yet, started doing so, and once I got under ~1180 slots in bank, it let me scroll again.

So if I had to guess: The tags are showing your REMAINING space left in the bank, and because I was so close to having a full bank, it didn't think I had anywhere to scroll?
