if you want the old settings back, 🔧 -> -> import profile, and then go into the runelite-old/profiles2 folder

you want to import the rsprofile, it will appear as if nothing happened, but turning the loot tracker off/on or restarting the client, will bring those back

So the "why" is that for reasons that are a bit over my head, AMD drivers are pretty hit or miss in terms of performance with the existing GPU plugin

GPUe does a bunch of work to address that but as it's experimental it can have some other issues

I think i need some help understanding the runelite profiles.. I play on 2 accounts. Last night i log into the main account i play and runelite straight up deleted all my plugins and reset me from scratch. I was annoyed but said oh well and set everything up again an log out. Log back in this morning and its all reset again. Why does it keep resetting my plugins? I set up everything i wanted and saved it to a profile, and made that profile the default for my account.

My understanding is that i should be able to setup everything i want for one account, save it to a profile, then do the same for the other account and save to a different profile. is this incorrect? or does opening a second instance of runelite break the profiles?

Upload the log files named client and launcher by dragging them to Discord. If there are files prefixed with jvm_crash dated from today, upload them too.

Also you make the profile and adjust the settings on that. If you're adjusting settings and THEN making a new profile you're doing it backwards

So part 1 is that you look like you have file permissions issues

Set RuneLite to run as administrator one time and just open it and get to the login screen, then close it and set it to not run as administrator and it should fix that

I would do that and then try and see if the issue persists and if it does then post logs again

But hopefully that clears up the other errors I'm seeing in there as well

I followed the instructions at github to login using my Jagex account. Now every time I launch RuneLite, my account credentials are automatically included, so my account is already logged in and I am unable to access any of my non-Jagex accounts via RuneLite. Hey guys, so I can't load the runelite launcher on my computer. This just started happening after 3 weeks of using Runelite and it seems to be an issue on one specific computer. I have restarted my router, checked and disabled my firewall, uninstalled my antivirus, and checked for windows updates. I could only launch RuneLite when using a VPN last night but now it seems the VPN is getting blocked somehow.

So, on my macbook, if I try and launch Runelite via double clicking on the app, OR if I launch it via Jagex launcher, I just get a black screen. After updating my NVIDIA drivers to version 580.97 (to play BF6), my runelite client started crashing/freezing after about 1 minute of using 117 or the GPU** plugin

If I toggle HD off and back on, it temporarily unfreezes but only works for about a minute before freezing again.

Disabling hardware acceleration via the launcher configuration does not help

Task Manager shows normal resource usage while RuneLite is running.

I have restarted my computer several times, but the issue persists.

Many plugins from the pluginhub break the client in subtle or not-so-subtle ways, including causing issues like client freezes. We do not support pluginhub plugins because we do not make or quality control them, and do not recommend their use.

Run the RuneLite (safe mode) shortcut, or with a Jagex account, first run the RuneLite (configure) shortcut and tick the Safe mode box, then launch RuneLite via the Jagex launcher.

This temporarily disables the GPU plugin and all hub plugins which will allow you to confirm the issue is caused by one of those plugins and isn't a core RuneLite issue.
If the issue is caused by a hub plugin, you should isolate which plugin it is and then uninstall the plugin.

Many plugins from the pluginhub break the client in subtle or not-so-subtle ways, including causing issues like client freezes. We do not support pluginhub plugins because we do not make or quality control them, and do not recommend their use.

Run the RuneLite (safe mode) shortcut, or with a Jagex account, first run the RuneLite (configure) shortcut and tick the Safe mode box, then launch RuneLite via the Jagex launcher.

This temporarily disables the GPU plugin and all hub plugins which will allow you to confirm the issue is caused by one of those plugins and isn't a core RuneLite issue.
If the issue is caused by a hub plugin, you should isolate which plugin it is and then uninstall the plugin.

Hi all -- reporting a bug with the Ground Items plugin:

The Highlighted item lootbeams checkbox appears to reset when leaving the plugin settings.

I mainly notice this when restarting my client -- since it fully disables the highlighted items (which makes my clue scrolls stop being highlighted, and I have to manually check this box again to re-enable).

I noticed when testing that this box also unchecks when leaving the settings panel in general, though it doesn't fully disable the highlights in that case, only when the client is restarted.

Yeah totally get that -- the issue is that in Rainbow Rave that option stays selected, but on client restart, my items are not highlighted. I can only get them back on by re-enabling Highlighted item lootbeams in Ground Items specifically.

It may not be an issue with Ground Items, but seems that way since I can only resolve by toggling the checkbox there. It's probably some weird interaction between the two that's really neither of the plugins faults haha

Hello, I'm setting up my development environment for the first time and I'm stuck on a persistent white screen when launching the client from IntelliJ. Hi all, looking for some help if possible. I have been using runelite for about a week, the 1st few days everything was great. Now, i have no audio coming from the application. Audio works everywhere else on my laptop. I removed all installed plug ins. I reinstalled / updated audio drivers. I tried creating a new profile in runelite. I tried running in compatibility mode. I tried uninstalling / reinstalling runelite itself. All with no luck. Still cant seem to get my sound to work 🙁 anyone have a suggestion to try. This is very frustrating.

I've discovered I'm getting 1k ping spikes routinely every 30 seconds. When tracking my internet ping on CMD they line up with the in game ping graph. Hi, I know this question has been asked many times but i cant seem to find a fix.

My friend has a macbook 2022 with an M2 chip. Plays via Jagex -> Runelite launcher. Even though he has the client installed in Applications it only shows install instead of play. Is it because he's trying to use the Silicon version instead of the intel?

Looking through the discord history you might also want to try loading RL without safe mode, and turning the GPU plugin off before logging in, then try and see if it still has an issue.

But if it's happening when logging in you can try using RL (not safe mode) and disable half the hub plugins, restart the client, then try to login.

This temporarily disables the GPU plugin and all hub plugins which will allow you to confirm the issue is caused by one of those plugins and isn't a core RuneLite issue.
If the issue is caused by a hub plugin, you should isolate which plugin it is and then uninstall the plugin.

Hey guys I got a new pc and was having some issues I checked here and was recommended to use safe mode to find the issue. I was able to determine that the issue of runelite freezing periodically was the GPU plugin. The same issue happens with 117HD. I’ve checked the GPU faqs and can’t find anything that seems to match what I’m experiencing. It’s just a QOL thing, but I really miss having a decent render distance. My graphics card is a GeForce RTX 5080, if that means something haha

I've installed the pet transmog plug-in , which for the most case works really well for me.
However, the cat transmog turns them very large and the default colour changes to grey.
I'm hoping to get my normal overgrown cat changed into a wiley cat, which will likely go to a lazy cat often.
I'd like to have the transmog change the lazy cat back to wiley without me having to catch a bunch of rats every hour.

Is there anything you suggest?

• Navigate to %userprofile%\.runelite\logs on Windows or $HOME/.runelite/logs on Linux and macOS.

Upload the log files named client and launcher by dragging them to Discord. If there are files prefixed with jvm_crash dated from today, upload them too.
