I made it back on March 2nd, but the issues seem to still be in the base plugin.

Currently Mute other players' area sounds does not work at all, and so do some of the other options.

Hi, I'm not sure where to post this but I can't find much online about the issue I'm having.
For some reason, since about 3-4 weeks ago, my audio output for runelite changes to my monitors instead of my standard output device (a mixamp I use since 2 years and had 0 issues). When I look into my sound settings on Windows through volume mixer it still shows it's on the default output device but still goes through my speakers. This only happens with Runelite, no other app does this. I also can't recall what I changed or updated 3-4 weeks ago that could have caused this.

I can't find a runelite setting that does anything audio related. Could this be a runelite related issue or does this seem like a "me" problem and it's somewhere in my windows settings?

Was it the flowchart you were following?
To narrow it down to GPU you would have made a fresh (blank) profile with only gpu enabled and checked if you could get the issue to happen.

yea i followed the folowchart and first thing i enabled after safe mode was GPU and it hard froze immediately

before that it was running fine most of the time while i was sending infernos but when id visit the bank it would freeze as i opened the interface sometimes

One of the last times there was a msg from runelite saying it could be from one of the plug-ins. Usually it just freezes and I have to close runelite, but this one time there was this msg. the worst part for me was finding a way to consistently get the freeze to happen, i got lucky

at worst you might have to play for a awhile to guarantee its not a problem at each step

but if u can replicate the freeze consistently then it goes by fast

for me it was jumping into inferno then running and opening my bank on a loop, but thats because my problem was a tzhaar related plugin

@rare steeple Many plugins from the pluginhub break the client in subtle or not-so-subtle ways, including causing issues like client freezes. We do not support pluginhub plugins because we do not make or quality control them, and do not recommend their use.

Run the RuneLite (safe mode) shortcut, or with a Jagex account, first run the RuneLite (configure) shortcut and tick the Safe mode box, then launch RuneLite via the Jagex launcher.

This temporarily disables the GPU plugin and all hub plugins which will allow you to confirm the issue is caused by one of those plugins and isn't a core RuneLite issue.
If the issue is caused by a hub plugin, you should isolate which plugin it is and then uninstall the plugin.

hi, i've been having some difficulties with my boosts information plugin - for some reason, i can't alt drag the infoboxes - they are just locked in place with a purple outline whenever i try to drag

Hey y'all - experiencing an issue on steam deck when launching RuneLite through Bolt launcher in gaming mode specifically. When I try to open any links (OSRS wiki, etc) I get the error `Unable to open link. Press 'OK' and link will be copied to your keyboard.'

Hey, just got the game and am loving it so far. Sometimes OSR is causing every single program on my PC to audio tear (crackling popping etc). Not sure why, and no other program or anything causes my audio to tear like that. And it's not constant either. Just sometimes it goes haywire for 20 minutes then stops. hey guys, the 'Music' plugin on base RL is muting my teleport and dragon claw sounds even if I dont check "mute player area sounds" or even "mute other player's area sounds"

the only things I have checked are mute environment area sounds, mute ambient sounds and granular volume sliders

maybe someone could help me here, im trying to help my friend get runelite setup. we went from completely unresponding, to loading a little bit and crashing. the app will not fully load, it gets stuck at download cache.

things we have tried... deleting runelite in all files, deleting jagex launcher, deleting runescape, rebooting pc, redowloaded multiple times, changed file loaction of each, runelite will not load by itself or through jagex launcher. it loads for a second until it gets to downloading cache and stops.

Hey, I tried some earlier suggestions to fix a problem and the fixes were unsuccessful. I have an issue that all of my audio on my computer starts tearing (making popping, static sounds) whenever OSRS is open. Looks like others are having the somewhat similar issues with Runelite right now, I'm getting the error "Downloading the plugin manifest failed", which previously has been attributed to DNS problems in the past from what I can tell looking through old support tickets.

I am looking to have more than 20 profiles on runelite with nearly the same settings. Primary function is so I can open up the different profiles and have them open up different default worlds and at a different spot on my computer screen for each client. All other settings are the same for the alt profiles.

I have been able to bypass the UI limit with the target properties to have more than 20 profiles but I cannot import/have the same plugin setup with the ones that are 21+ on the count. It creates a profile but I would like to not have to manually set all of the same plugins again. Is there an easy way to do this?

I have my target set in the properties for the runelite.exe as "C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\RuneLite\RuneLite.exe --profile usernamehere"

I have the additional profiles but I don’t have the plugins and settings the same from the original 20

Been Unable to play on PC for about a week or 2 now. If I use a VPN then the jagex launcher gives a red box error saying "osrs could not be launched due to a network issue. try again later" if i disable VPN then runelite gives the fatal error message. at first a different issue was happening with any log in attempts besides mobile but ow its fixed everywhere besides my main PC.

By default the profile loaded on startup will be the one that was most recently active. To load a specific profile on startup you can pass --profile=<profilename> to the launcher.

no, I had to turn off the crosshair cursor mod, it was for some reason taking control of my custom cursor mod

doing what dominick suggested is probably easiest, press & hold alt, click the - next to the bowl, and then enable deprioritize hidden items in the Ground Items plugin

If you install "Debug Helper" from the plugin hub, what you can do is once the game freezes, click the green bug icon it adds to the sidebar, then click the "dump threads" button. That'll copy something to your clipboard. Just paste it into a text file and DM it to @haughty pumice and we can take a look

Quick question, i cant seem to figure out how to keep my client size the same. every time i open it i have to drag the screen to the size i like. Could some one tell me where to find the window lock button? i am using runlite through the jagex client if that makes a difference.

You need to add an asterisk. If you drop two bowls on the same tile it won’t work

To find the logs, you can do one of the following:

• If your client failed to open, click the Open logs folder button.
• Open the screenshot directory by right-clicking 📷 Camera button, navigate 1 directory up, then open logs folder.
• Navigate to %userprofile%\.runelite\logs on Windows or $HOME/.runelite/logs on Linux and macOS.

Upload the log files named client and launcher by dragging them to Discord. If there are files prefixed with jvm_crash dated from today, upload them too.

Hi, I had to get my ssd replaced today, wiped most things. I tried logging into runelite again, but after signing in, the client doesn't give me my old plugin setup stuff. I am logged in to the right account.
Is there a way to retrace my steps or do I just need to set up all plugins again?

the performance you get depends on the areas you're in, but lowering draw distance can't hurt

Might be an internet issue. Its just an old computer,. I should be getting ready to upgrade anyway, tunelite is phasing out of imac user within the next year i heard

That does not work. Everytime I open the client it starts as a small box and I cannot change it unless I change the "Game size" in the RuneLite settings. But that's inconsistent.

EDIT: And even still, with setting the correct size I can still drag it around with the top bar lol.

Can I just simply get rid of the top bar somehow?

Okay, well, it would be great if we had an option in the RuneLite settings to disable the top title bar from being able to drag/resize. I use multiple monitors of different sizes. So when I move my mouse from one 1080p monitor to my 1440p my mouse doesn't move where I'd always expect, so sometimes when in a hurry to interract with my client while working on something else it drags the top bar and makes the game really small. Would be awesome to just temporarily disable that. 🤷‍♂️

My runelite keeps freezing at gotr i have deleted almost all my plug ins for the minigame and checked reddit nothing is helping but running in safe mode

i can still interact with runelite sometimes, then sometimes it just completely freezes

seems to only happen on the worlds with alot of players as well
