Hey all, over the last couple days my game has all of a sudden started running poorly during the Yama fight. Hadn't changed any settings or plugins, any ideas of things to try within the client? i dont have these problems with any other game on my pc. I tried deleting cache and accidentally erased all my plugin data, and am still having the same issue. Tried using 117hd and that makes it slightly more manageable than when i was using the gpu plugin, but still lots of frame drops and freezing. Any help would be great!

and see if your issue still happens

fwiw the proper location on linux might not be where we assume it, as the jagex launcher alternatives move it apparently

so if it doesn't work, try finding the .runelite folder and see if there's a different one somewhere down the file path

So I'm working on installing runelite on the new PC, it's running Manjaro Linux.
I got the AppImage file, it starts and goes through config fine, and can log in without any plugins active.
Once I activate my profile that has all the plugins, it crashes on login. Specifically when I click the Play button on the ingame splash screen.
It generates a crash log but I'm not well-versed enough to interpret it. Do I post it here?

I think it's just GPU drivers... will try messing with that and see if it solves it.

Run the RuneLite (safe mode) shortcut, or with a Jagex account, first run the RuneLite (configure) shortcut and tick the Safe mode box, then launch RuneLite via the Jagex launcher.

This temporarily disables the GPU plugin and all hub plugins which will allow you to confirm the issue is caused by one of those plugins and isn't a core RuneLite issue.

hello I am having issues using gpu plugin I have graphics card geforce gtx1050 all drivers are up to date, windows updates and hardware accelerated gpu scheduling is turned off. Runelite usually allows me to activate the plugin and the game will crash minutes after. Sometimes GPU plugin will not activate also and go immediately to grey bar after I activate. Not sure if gpu is damaged, or possibly unable to run with the setting.

the loot tracker plugin only loads x amount of recent enemies, so you kill an enemy that wasn't loaded, it appears as if it's starting fresh, that's the issue most people who think their loot is gone are actually running into

that's why I asked you first to disable and re-enable the loot tracker plugin, as that will force-reload recent enemies, which nechs would be one

we updated the client to listen to Jagex telling us what loot dropped, instead of us having to figure it out

but becaues of this change, Hespori loot did not merge between the old and new version

so it sadly started a new loot for hespori

Ahh yep that's it, graceful is one of the few things I never tagged but after just testing any piece is behaving just like the agility cape. The graceful doesn't bother me but I use the agility cape for it's stam potion use effect and all use effects which I've swapped to left click I have tagged while equipped to remind me about the left click. I had looked forward to coloring the agility cape the same as my explorers ring which I have left click set to energy on. But I'm guessing since the graceful has functioned this way for years that there's no chance the plugin lets you tag from equipment pane or from the plugin configuration itself or whatever in any near future.

So the Google account I made for my runelite account somehow got banned by Google months ago (no idea why it isn’t used besides runelite) and my runelite client is still logged into the runelite account somehow. If I log out of it am I going to have all my settings wiped off my local client or does that persist inside .runelite?

It hasn’t really mattered for me since I’ve been only 1 PC but I’m about to have a laptop that I need the profiles synced between. Could I log out of the runelite client account and just sync the .runelite folder between the desktop/laptop with my own cloud storage solution? (I’m not worried about storage space)

if an outcome does happen where the local files are lost on logout for some ungodly reason, you want the import profile button in the tab

and then just import the stored file(s)

You might want to search your system to find which .runelite directory it put it in. Depending on your method of installing the Jagex Launcher (or workarounds) the directory location* might be different.

Hey, kind of a weird one and likely maybe windows/hardware oriented but just curious. When running runelite and runelite only, I occasionally have been getting this weird artifacting on ONLY web browsers, that being chrome and edge(which I don't use). Perhaps there is some weird confliction with whatever I have going on on my runelite and chromium. What's being displayed actually just what is my runelite client just extremely glitched. I use nordvpn, and I don't have any issues with runescape on the steam or mobile clients with it active, but when using runelite it fails to log in. i've went through every profile going over all of them last few hours

only other action i did was just giving it a 3 letter name so i could more easily recognize it

it worked last night and all my settings were imported but this morning they were all just gone

on both computers

so im just curious since i still have all those files left if i can import then into a new profile somehow locally

i double clicked on this first thing in the morning and all my plugins were back into an earlier save state from like 2023

every other profile in this directory too is not the one i used to have

still have loads on plugins installed in the plugin folder but they're not installed onto my profiles

If you turn on notification sounds under main RuneLite settings and set to custom do you hear a sound when you get a notification? That will tell you if it's all audio from RL or just in game sounds. @plain fern

You can just like fletch 1 longbow and wait for idle notifier to test.

im having issues playing runelite on my chromebook. ive downloaded the launcher and gone thru and used terminal with linux to force open the jav. when i try to login it keeps telling me if i have moved on to runescape i need to use their launcher? im trying to enjoy runelite any tips please help ive spent literally 5 hours today already trying everything i can google.

you need to use jagex launcher (or an alternative) to launch runelite

That's a .wav file with standard java audio stuff. Should not be any codec issue. Did it used to work on that computer or this first time trying?

Open the Linux terminal and run the following command to install Java and Bolt:
sudo apt install default-jdk && sudo apt install flatpak && flatpak --user remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://dl.flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo && flatpak install flathub com.adamcake.Bolt
Run Bolt from the terminal:
flatpak run com.adamcake.Bolt --no-sandbox

Jagex does not have a linux launcher. Whatever you are trying to install is likely the old rs3 linux client.

24 44.1khz should be fine. I was thinking it might have issues if it like was over 192k

But if it is just that interface it might be some more obscure compatibility issue with java and the drivers.

• If your client failed to open, click the Open logs folder button.
• Open the screenshot directory by right-clicking 📷 Camera button, navigate 1 directory up, then open logs folder.
• Navigate to %userprofile%\.runelite\logs on Windows or $HOME/.runelite/logs on Linux and macOS.

Upload the log files named client and launcher by dragging them to Discord. If there are files prefixed with jvm_crash dated from today, upload them too.

u could setup a cloudflare worker to receive the webhook, apply an account hash allowlist filter, and then forward the request to the discord url
