Hey friends, I need some help troubleshooting an issue. I think it's related to 117 HD specifically, but not sure. If this isn't the place to post about this please let me know.

I'm having an issue in which being under my FPS cap (which is 60) will cause my GPU usage to max out and turn whatever I'm watching on my second monitor (be that a stream, youtube video or a video file) to completely lag out. This resolves after I reach the FPS cap again in which GPU usage will calm down.

For reference I have a 9070 XT & 5800X3D on the latest drivers.

Hello everyone! I upgraded my computer around Thanksgiving last year, and have been tyring to get my account synced ever since. I've had to reformat once on the new rig due to a corrupted update, and that unfortunately wiped all my Runelite and note data. There isn't any local data I have been able to pull in any folder to import or identify that has that data. Am I up a creek or is there a cloud sharepoint somewhere I can access to get my previous notes/settings for plugins? Thanks in advance!

Depending on what you actually mean by reformat, there might be a "windows.old" folder containing old user data.

It's a complete new system, and the new system itself has also been wiped. The legacy profile would only be on the "cloud" attached to an account/email, that it doesn't seem to tie to unfortunately.

I use my PC and a laptop with runelite. I have my "plugin profile" synced on both computers but I have created some new inventory setups with that plugin on my PC but when I login to the laptop I don't see the new ones appear. I have desynced the profiles, signed out of runelite on my laptop, nothing has made the laptop version "refresh" to see the new saved gear layouts. Any advice?

Upload the log files named client and launcher by dragging them to Discord. If there are files prefixed with jvm_crash dated from today, upload them too.

I've noticed over the past few days that changing gear (after 3-4 equipment switches) i'll drop from 120 to 90 FPS making my client stutter. Has anyone experienced this? I tried turning off pm every plug-in I have to test if it improved without any luck

Many plugins from the pluginhub break the client in subtle or not-so-subtle ways, including causing issues like client freezes. We do not support pluginhub plugins because we do not make or quality control them, and do not recommend their use.

Run the RuneLite (safe mode) shortcut, or with a Jagex account, first run the RuneLite (configure) shortcut and tick the Safe mode box, then launch RuneLite via the Jagex launcher.

This temporarily disables the GPU plugin and all hub plugins which will allow you to confirm the issue is caused by one of those plugins and isn't a core RuneLite issue.
If the issue is caused by a hub plugin, you should isolate which plugin it is and then uninstall the plugin.

Best way to go about trying to get to the bottom of this problem? Type of lag that freezes my character in place for barely a second, making it "walk back" so to speak afterwards. It happens only every 5 minutes or so. Not sure if links are allowed but I've ran into a bug with Bank Tags/Tabs that have been created using exported inventory setups. When you try to right click withdraw 5, 10, x, or all it uses the option below it. So withdraw 5 takes out 10, 10 does x so and so forth. It doesn't happen with Tags/Tabs created by dragging and dropping manually. Not sure if this is a known bug but its just annoying lmao below is a link to a clip I took demonstrating it.

Good day everyone. I need help, I used to play on a shitty laptop and just got a starting PC with a full HD 23.8" monitor.
Resizable layout looks amazing and crisp, but everything is so small and I know it will give me headaches.

I scoured reddit looking for tips and people talk about stretched mode. I try it and it blurs everything, if I use GPU plugin and change to xBR or bicubic it looks better then it is too sharp.
I use integer scaling on stretched and it looks good but the windows doesnt resize.

What do i do? For now I dont have a gpu, just a ryzen 5600gt

This temporarily disables the GPU plugin and all hub plugins which will allow you to confirm the issue is caused by one of those plugins and isn't a core RuneLite issue.
If the issue is caused by a hub plugin, you should isolate which plugin it is and then uninstall the plugin.

@haughty pumice I need some help with my left click settings. I just reinstalled the launcher as I was having issues logging in over the last week. My left click is only allowing me to "use" items rather than to wear, drink, eat, etc. I have menu entry swapper and have attempt to swap it by holding shift to change it. I do not have that option. The only other option is to swap shift click. This isn't great either as I amjust having to spam hold shift for gear swaps and potting. Please help!

hey mates, I am having trouble getting the inventory panel to anchor correctly
if I switch between fullscreen and smaller window, one of two situations happens
(inventory panel located correctly in fullscreen): overlaps menu buttons in small window

Hello, I have a Problem on launching RuneLite on Steam. Everytime I want to execute this promt "C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\RuneLite\Runelite.exe %command%" on Steam it throws me to the RuneLite page where I have to login, but if I try to, it says that I need to login via Jagex Launcher. My problem is that I want to track my hours on steam but if I launch the Jagex Launcher, it stops tracking it.

you can try clearing that, people used to say it would work

Hello. I'm running RuneLite on Debian 12. I'm having a funny issue with window resizing. I can resize the window width using the RuneLite settings, but I can't adjust the height. Height is locked to 504p. Any attempt to resize the window will result in the game UI glitching out and the window slowly shrinking back to 504p tall. This happens when I change the aspect ratio in RuneLite settings, when I go fullscreen, and when I try to click and drag the window border. Incidentally I can't adjust window width by clicking and dragging, but this is not so much an issue because it can still be done via RuneLite settings.

With discord's new borderless overlay, when clicking in the taskbar of your Runelite client whilst in a call (like clicking your loot tracker and THEN right clicking an item) the discord overlay (and other pinned entities from discord) moves to the right side of your screen. When clicking off of runelite (e.g. on discord on another screen) the overlay dissapears from runelite. When you click back on runelite (not in the side bar) the overlay goes back to it's initial location.

READ TO FIX 117 HD BAD PERFORMANCE ON A NEW GRAPHICS CARD

Hey guys, I recently switched from a 3070ti (Nvidia) to a 9070 XT (AMD) and wasn't sure why I was getting piss poor performance on Runelite (Specifically with 117 HD)

A quick guide to fix this if you're like me and recently switched cards:

1. Use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) IN SAFE MODE to uninstall your previous graphics card drivers. You can google this program (or search Reddit for talk about this) - it's a standard and highly trustworthy program

2. Install your updated drivers for your GPU. Get these only from Nvidia or AMD's websites directly of course

3. Restart your PC after the installation

4. Try Runelite/117 HD. Performance still ass? Go to step 5.

5. Check to see if your motherboard supports "Resizeable Bar" or "ReBAR". You'll need to boot to your UEFI BIOS (restart PC, the loading screen should tell you to hit F2 or F12 or DEL to boot into bios. There, search for Resizeable Bar or ReBAR. If it's there, enable it! It's not there? Proceed to 6.

6. Search online whether your motherboard supports ReBar in an update. I have an Asus Prime Z390A - which is a fairly older motherboard. I searched online and sure enough it was supported... only if I updated my bios.

7. Search your particular Motherboard name and "Manual" on the internet. You should be able to find it pretty easily online. Remember - RTFM (Read The f... reaking Manual!)

8. Read how to update your Motherboard's BIOS (Ctrl + F to easily find it).

9. Get your motherboard's most recent BIOS update (again, directly from the manufacturer's website) and update the bios according to your motherboard documentation on hand.

10. OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED - After updating your bios and turning on Resizable Bar (ReBAR) - uninstall your graphics drivers and reinstall them again (DDU -> Uninstall -> Manufacturer's website -> Install drivers again) if you possibly get the popup of "Your hardware settings have changed. Please reboot your computer for these changes to take affect" (this typically happens with AMD cards - mine had this popup after the Motherboard's BIOS update).

I'm saying that ResizeBar fixed it for me, but step 10 was detailing to reinstall your graphics drivers again AFTER the entire process I listed (if you get a specific popup detailing "Your hardware settings have changed. Please reboot your computer for these changes to take affect")

@steady glen To find the logs, you can do one of the following:

• If your client failed to open, click the Open logs folder button.
• Open the screenshot directory by right-clicking 📷 Camera button, navigate 1 directory up, then open logs folder.
• Navigate to %userprofile%\.runelite\logs on Windows or $HOME/.runelite/logs on Linux and macOS.

Upload the log files named client and launcher by dragging them to Discord. If there are files prefixed with jvm_crash dated from today, upload them too.

Oh actually I missed the bit about your system crashing, that's most likely a bad GPU driver so you can try rolling back to an older version

Since you're using 117 you might want to mention a driver crash in their discord and see if they're aware of anything
