Can HTML files be made into RuneLite plugins? I ask, because there's a new calculator plugin for Alt1 (Alt1 is RS3's equivlent of RuneLite), with buttions like "K" and "M" which are useful for RuneScape. Like all Alt1 plugins, this calculator is an HTML file. Any reason this calculator can't be made into a RuneLite plugin? Can RuneLite load HTML files as plugins?

The only way I can launch runelite is by using a VPN, or else I get connect errors. Now when I'm trying to login to my account, whether using a VPN or not, it just instantly says Failed to Login, so I literally can't play. i came to realize that the issue is related to OpenGL, because when i turn off compute shaders as i said, the freezes are gone, and messing around with the amd settings i turned on opengl triple buffering, and the issue was much less intense, i mean from 1 second of freeze it turned to 0.25 second or so

hi, I am trying to use RuneLite with SurfShark, and I keep getting a ConnectException error upon startup of RuneLite. I have tried this from the Jagex Launcher and from RuneLite itself, same error. Note this is only when I have the Bypass VPN option enabled in SurfShark. I am so confused right now, because if I use SurfShark's Route via VPN option, it works. I have RuneLite whitelisted in my firewall settings already as well.

I recently started having an issue with runelite resizing on its own. If I have the client open, and my screen goes to sleep, when I wake it the runelite window takes up the entire screen. I have my runelite settings set to lock the game size and remember its position, so not sure what’s happening. When I click the up or down arrow to resize, it fixes it. Any ideas?

I play on 2 runescape accounts and regularly switch between my laptop and PC. On runelite i use cloudsync and linked the one runelite profile to both accounts. So I have an issue that occurs usually with my trees, but also with bushes, where one of the trees (in this case farming guild) is always said to be done before the others.
however, this is incorrect - firstly I do the farming guild last so it's not like I did it across 2 different farming ticks
and if I tele to lumbridge for example, it would see that the tree is actually fully grown and would update to "Done" for just that tree. I would then need to go to the others to update their completion status.

Does anyone what causes this to fall out of sync?

Hello! Whenever I disable the GPU plugin the game windows will seem to completely freeze and get stuck like that indefinitely. Despite this I can still hear sounds and interact with the game by clicking on the frozen window and hear sounds from starting to attack an NPC for example. Only by enabling the GPU plugin again will everything start moving again and if I want to play without the GPU plugin I have to restart Runelite completely. If I then enable GPU and then disable it the same freezing issue will occur. Strangely enough though, when I was streaming the game on discord to a friend and disabled the GPU plugin the game would again freeze for me but they could still see the game reacting to my clicks and commentating how old the game looked without the GPU effects. So at least they could see the intended effect? A factor to this may be that I'm on a laptop with both an integrated and dedicated GPU which it doesn't always seem to use too smartly.

latest i did here was open runelite with no plugin hub plugins enabled and with the gpu plugin enabled, disable the gpu plugin, screen freezes, fumble around a bit but manage to click the login button and dismiss the message of the day and start hearing background music, then enable the gpu plugin again and see that im actually ingame (had just been seeing the frozen login screen since disabling the gpu plugin)

I recently started having an issue with runelite resizing on its own. If I have the client open, and my screen goes to sleep, when I wake it the runelite window takes up the entire screen. I have my runelite settings set to lock the window size and "keep game size" for resize type. When I click the up or down arrow next to my game size to resize, it fixes it. Any ideas?

Hello, I've recently got a new PC and I started to crash whenever I tried to load a chunk of the map or new area (e.g zmi running or teleporting to GE). This happens after a long period of time, mainly after an hour of playtime. Get a quick drop of fps from 144 to 90 loading a new area then becomes fine for a few mintues until I try to load another area where it drops to 30 fps and freezes then crash shortly after. CPU jumps to 100% usage during freeze while ram is still the same as it normally runs. I tried reading the client.log and launcher.log but not really sure what I am looking for.

So runelite has started to completely freeze inputs I make since about a month ago. I've checked if its hardware, internet, all that stuff and it's simply not the case. Cleared cache, fully reinstalled RL and also disabled plugins that people have mentioned had a possible relation on their end to something similar.
The input freezing essentially just either delays, or doesn't register anything I do, once it's active it'll be that way for a few seconds, let me actually do something before continuning to switch between those two things sporadically. Messaging, clicking and even trying to close RL while I can see the game play out as normal. Restarting the client causes it to go away only temporarily and for a completely seemingly random amount of time going from 30 minutes to the span of a few hours. Infuriating as it can and will happen mid raid or doing any content all and it does not fix itself with time, restarting RL is a hard requirment

It seems like (at first glance) that when I installed the linux version it didn't load the profile properly, and then overrrode the synced settings with default. I then added two plugins to it, and when I went back to my windows it simply synced this new version that was just the default + plus a gotr plugin over my original settings

In the "RuneLite" plugin you can change the font size for Tooltips, interface, infobox and a couple more. If you want to maybe scale the whole client you can use the scaling option in RuneLite configure.

Having an open question that pertains to the MacOs Silicon client - when using the "compute shaders" option in GPU, there are a few areas (namely being Kephri Swarms) where my fps tanks to 30-40 and stutters.

Anyone able to easily summarize as to why the swarms in specific cause the tank?
are there other areas with similar issues with #1 that you're aware of?
I don't notice much of a difference with "extended map loading" set to 0/1 during Phosani's Nightmare, although when I have it set to 3, my fps tanks from 120-> 50s

I've noticed when having this option ticked off, I can't see my Zebak pet either.

Running the correct client version, latest, on Macbook M3 Max. Non technical understanding is that the client is also upscaled to match the screen without "stretched screen" enabled, so it is also rendering a higher resolution of runelite than the window would suggest. I believe this is a MacOS design.

The individual NPC tagged gets reset on world restarts and there isn’t a way to know if a world was restarted between sessions

Sounds like it is sending a notification and now you need to adjust the settings in Windows for how notifications are displayed

If you set your report button to show how long you’ve been logged in you can just see how close you are to 6 hours.

I think they're worried about the AFK logout timer? But if you set it to 25 minutes it shouldn't ever really be a concern

if you manually edit your profile, you will very likely reset all your settings

Hey I was looking through the message history and saw that my essense pouch tracker was throwing exceptions. I know you said later that even with my plugin disabled you were still crashing, so glad to know it wasn't the issue.

However, personally haven't came across this with my plugin and I want to find out the cause of the plugin exception. Do you happen to remember what you were doing around this time in game? Sorry for bringing it up a few days later, so you probably forgot but wanted to ask anyways.

I recently realised I had the duplicate profile bug on runelite, so my loot tracker was missing the majority of my drops. I looked through the wiki, and followed the steps under "My Loot Tracker data is gone", and deleted my duplicate profile.

Once I reloaded runelite, it appeared that everything was working again, as some old CG and Bird nest data pulled through. I've only now just realised that most of my data on my main profile has disappeared, and it's only kept the data for CG & Birds nest from that original profile.

I thankfully did an export before, just in case something went wrong, but I don't believe there's any functionality to import it back into runelite. I'm assuming the data is gone for good, but thought I'd double check if anyone knew how to recover it or import it.

I know for sure I didn't delete the wrong one, as it pulled through old data like this.

But for some reason it only pulled those two things through and when that profile was updated, everything else was deleted.

This is the export of the profile I kept before it was overwritten. And the birds nest match perfectly with what's shown in the loot tracker. Just not sure why it only kept 2 of the original 232 tracked NPCs.

sometimes it doesn't show all the data in the sidebar but does on the website.

although 2 entries only seems REALLY low.

but anyways it's probably gone unless you want to write an import script.

@leaden trail So as a follow up to this. Related to the gpu plugin being on or off, and I copied the GPU settings from a fresh profile back to my main profile and it still breaks. If any of you got an idea that'd be great

To find the logs, you can do one of the following:

• If your client failed to open, click the Open logs folder button.
• Open the screenshot directory by right-clicking 📷 Camera button, navigate 1 directory up, then open logs folder.
• Navigate to %userprofile%\.runelite\logs on Windows or $HOME/.runelite/logs on Linux and macOS.

Upload the log files named client and launcher by dragging them to Discord. If there are files prefixed with jvm_crash dated from today, upload them too.
