I updated my gfx driver while runelite was running. It seemingly crashed and now my .runelite folder seems to have been deleted? No profile settings, screenshots etc. I think it's perm gone now, but i'm curious how the hell that happens D:

Anyone know how to run Runelite while NordVPN is running? I've enabled split tunneling to allow Jagex Launcher and Runelite to access the internet without a VPN, and also allowed Runelite to go through my firewall. I get an error saying "RuneLite is unable to connect to a required server while downloading the bootstrap. Please check your internet connection.

So I simply have to turn off VPN to play? No work arounds?

Anyone having issues with CG Map plugin? Randomly will close my client no warning during a run at random times. Since turning off no issues so seems to be the culprit
Support for hub plugins should be directed to the author of the plugin.
You can find the support link by searching for the plugin in the Plugin Hub panel and clicking the ? button on the plugin, or by right-clicking the plugin in the plugin panel and clicking the Support menu option.

Its not working.. when i log in to runelite client my profile wont show up. But when i login on runelite website my profile is there. Any way i can get it on my runelite client?
Started up PC today with clients open from the day before and the two cloud sync profiles I use are gone and the following is in the client.log
Seems to be a semi regular occurrence now that I am getting profiles lost and AccessDeniedExceptions
From previous chats here I have tried the following to resolve this:
- Re-install RuneLite's latest launcher from the site
- Running RuneLite as admin once after the above step
- Deleting the
profiles2andcachedirectories and having RuneLite remake them - Imported all profiles from exported backups after a the above steps

I have looked at the directory and file permissions and cannot see any reason for them to have issues as its not something I have changed and the local account is an administrator
At this point open to try anything because I am getting really tired of losing profiles constantly

I have just done the following and will keep an eye on my logs and will see if anything happens again. Hopefully considering its a clean slate things won't break again.
- Removed RuneLite via Windows Installed Apps
- Deleted the .runelite folder within default install location
- Downloaded latest launcher version from the RuneLite site
- Installed as normal
- Launched RuneLite via the Jagex launcher
- Logged into my RuneLite account
- Both of the CloudSync'd profiles appeared, these being
MainandAlt - Swapped to the
Mainprofile that is CloudSync'd - Deleted the
defaultprofile that was created via the Profiles tab and also within theprofiles2directory - Logged in and set the
MainandAltprofiles to be default to the specific accounts one at a time closing client after each - Disabled CloudSync for both
MainandAltprofiles - Restored both my custom notification sound as well as resource pack into the
.runelitedirectory - Restored the contents of the
screenshotsdirectory and setup only this directory to be sync'd with my Google Drive - Imported and renamed the additional two profiles,
LavasandSpec Alt, that weren't originally CloudSync'd from exports I made before this - Logged into the
Spec Altaccount and set profile to be default before closing client - Logged into the
Mainaccount and exported all 4 profiles as a backup - Launched all 3 accounts and logged in

No, they're ordered by age if I remember right
You can create seperate groups for info boxes if you want a specific one to always be at the top
I use that to keep binding necklace infobox at the top no matter what

hey guys, ive been here before asking for help. i cant seem to figure it out... I been using RL since it came out.... Standard i know when u close ur last client, thats the position/client RL is going to rememer/save / open first your next time you open it... as of recently. that has not been happening.... if i have 2 clients open, it seems to remember the one i close first.....
i've noticed that it happens to be like this : Client 1 : Is using Profile A. Client 2 : Is using profile B. If i close client 2 first, then client one. Upon reopening, it reopens the client 2 with profile B.
could it be something in the profiles settings?
isnt it suppossed to open the last profile that u closed last?
yea but perhaps saving that data can get clobered if you close them quickly
if i close client A first then B... upon restart its opening cleint A again. when it should be opening B.

there's only some workarounds that sometimes work, and one that always will
well for RuneLite running admin once probably fixed it for you
we have newer versions of the RuneLite launcher try and fix this problem, for our files, for you

Hi, I've been using runelite for years and never came across this issue. I've looked through the QA but couldn't find anything. My runelite just started doing this about 30 minutes ago. All of my external plugins are downloaded to my runelite profile. They show that i can remove them and reinstall them. But none of them are showing up in my setting configuration menu. My profile is loaded. I tried to even reload my profile, restart my pc, go to BIOS menu to check my configuration, etc. I deleted runelite and reinstalled it, logged out of my profile, etc. not sure what is going on

click .runelite in the top search bar of the logs folder* to jump back to the .runelite folder and delete the cache folder

recently my client has just started doing this randomly and I have no idea why. It doesn't seem like it's a wifi issue cause other things seem to run perfectly fine. Is there any way to figure out why this is happening?

from what I can tell, it still seems like an issue where it takes a click a couple seconds to register, haven't tested a kill to see if it's still fully acting up though

Hey guys, unsure if this has been brought up, but equipping the Ursine chainmace (charged or uncharged) seems to be clashing with animation smoothing. Attacks are like its disabled but running around is okay.
Even chopping logs while chainmace equipped but axe in inventory, isn't smoothed. Unsure where else to post

it was always supposed to not be animation smoothed, but we were doing the check to not smooth it, wrong
it should be currently the way the animation is expected
I'm not entirely sure, I've never noticed it in the past. Only time it seems like the animations aren't being smoothed out is when I have a chainmace equipped.
Even the idle animation of my character isn't smooth but only when chainmace is equipped.

the chainmace was the only weapon (i think) that wasn't respecting "dont animation smooth this" which someone had reported recently

the folder should have no concept of operating system, move it from the mac spot to the windows spot

it will load those on next startup, on the other computer

if u never named your profile it might show up as a second default, double-click to swap to the second one
My screenshots plugin has stopped screenshotting boss kills on one specific account.
What I know:
- Manual screenshots still work
- Valuable drops screenshots still work
- Boss screenshots still work when I use another Runescape account
What I have tried:
- Checking the plugin settings (see image)
- Toggling the plugin off and on
- Restarting RuneLite
- Emptying the boss screenshots folder for the affected account
Anyone got any ideas?

My PC did an update this morning, and upon launching runelite, all my profile settings have been removed? I am already on the 'old' profile, but a whole host of plugins and tile markers etc are all gone. Happened to anyone else before?

ive installed the resource packs plug in and it doesnt show a icon on right side, have uninstalled it and reinstalled it and nothing. no it isnt hidden in the settings

Hi, I logged into runelite on my laptop and It changed the loot tracker on my pc to only the loot I've gained on my laptop. Laptop is fairly new so I seem to have lost years of tracked loot. Any way I can get loot tracker back to my old tracked loot?
hey all, I have noticed an issue while hopping worlds as well as another one. Yesterday I ended up resetting my GPU plugin due to lag back to the original settings. When wearing the crafting cape it looks great zoomed it but it appears blurry to me while having the camera zoomed out. The issue is with the black outline of the crafting logo. Also, while the GPU plugin is on when I hop worlds there is a black screen for 3-5 seconds upon login where all I see are my line plugins like multi lines and so on. Just figured I'd pass this on. Thanks for all your hard work guys
the blackscreen on hop is a known issue and i think adam either is working on it or has it fixed in next release

hey guys, screenshot plugin for me isn't automatically taking pics of boss kills. i just got a new computer, copied all my files over to my new one in the same place as before. I can manually take a screenshot and it's in the folder. just not working for boss kills, the box is checked.
jagex put a comma in kills over 999 so the plugin no longer matches the chat message correctly

Farm contracts wont update on "time tracking reminder" and it is just stuck on "Ready". It broke when I did a contract when runelite was down after update and I would really much like it to work again. I am trying to clear out the settings part on a plug in, I have removed and cleared runelite cache but the settings keep coming back when I re install the plug in. Anyone here that can help me out?

Why does my runelite keep resetting?
For example when i make a new bank tag it doesnt save

it would say you're having a permission issue

hey all, having a bit of an issue. i have a 2k and 4k monitor. all good on the 2k, but when i drag the rl client to the 4k monitor, the mouse input ends up not being aligned its about 1/3 of the client out, so i try to click on something and instead the mouse click is 1/3 of the client to the right. any suggestions? ๐

Hi, I'm getting the below error when trying to install and launch RuneLite. I am on MacOS (14.6.1), work computer (so there may be some anti-virus involved).
There was a fatal error starting Runelite. Runelite was unable to establish a SSL/TLS connection with a required server while downloading bootstrap. This can be caused by a firewall, antivirus, malware, misbehaving internet service provider, or a proxy.

I already tried to run in Terminal: sudo rm -rf /var/root/.mitmproxy (and enter password and restarting), but that does not seem to fix it.

Ursine chainmace looks really laggy when using since like a few days ago and vengeance animation seems choppy as well
chainmace was being incorrectly smoothed causing random freakouts, but also if you have one equipped we can't not-smooth it, and smooth your other animations

you can't rename a wav file from something else, that's not a real wav file
if it's a real wav file and still doesn't work, probably use audacity and just save export* it through there, the default settings work for java

jagex added a comma to the kc
They changed the message so we had to change the tracking of the message
we expected 1234 and 1,234 was being sent

Hey, the โAnimation Smoothingโ plugin isnโt working for me, anyone know a fix for this?
we correctly disabled it for chainmace but we can't split up disabled for chainmace and enable for other animations while you're wearing chainmace

Make sure your system time & time zone are set correctly. It sounds weird, but that is often the cause of the "blocked" message, especially on new computers. ๐

Jagex put a comma in the KC's above 999 which the plugin didn't expect, so it was broken
key remapping always breaks when dialogs are involved, this has kept me from using it for years. What am I missing? I've tried remapping f keys to number row, QWERTY, whatever, but it just stops working when a dialog is open

My pc randomly crashed and restarted itself and when i opened runelite, i had some random plugins and some random texture pack. All of my previous plugins and settings were gone for some reason. After looking at the .runelite folder, seems like all of my old plugins and stuff are there but for some reason they are not working

Visual sounds plugin should be able to show the sounds if theyโre not ambient sounds.

Got a weird issue with the screenshot feature. Since the update on wednesday 11/9, it is no longer automatically taking pictures of certain boss kills.
Still getting screenshots from corp, callisto, nightmare, but none from KQ, cerberus, Obor.
Loot keys, gauntlet chest, collection logs, ... are still autoscreenshotting correctly.
Any suggestions on what to check/fix?

!safe you can confirm that to be the case by hopping twice in safe mode
safemode: Windows
Run the RuneLite (safe mode) shortcut, or with a Jagex account, first run the RuneLite (configure) shortcut and tick the Safe mode box, then launch RuneLite via the Jagex launcher.
Mac
In Terminal, run:
/Applications/RuneLite.app/Contents/MacOS/RuneLite --configureTick the Safe mode box. Launch RuneLite.
If it's not working, download and install the updated RuneLite launcher from the website link in #welcome. You don't need to uninstall your current version. You will not lose any settings or plugins. Then try running safemode again.
it happens in safemode aswell, the difference is i can hop 2 times there but not 3.
Hello, I'm wondering if it's possible to change how overlays are stacked in a particular anchor zone. For example above the chat on the left they are stacked horizontally, and on the right vertically. Can I change the left one to also stack vertically?

Hi,my Runelite is working , but I get the 'Failed to login. Please try again. ' error message immediately. Changing world or safe mode does not help.
I launch through the Jagex Launcher and if I go through the Official Client I have no issues. I am on a work laptop, MacOs.

My friend was briefly unable to connect yesterday as well.
Divus, I recommend you uninstall the program from your computer and remove cached/temp folders, so that you can do a clean install. Runelite works great!

Hi Felan, I actually struggle to replicate my issue right now because of the other issue which seems to be affecting everyone. I can confirm that my issues happens on the log-in page. Does that mean it is a Jagex issue? And if so, where would you recommend reaching out? I realise this may not be anything that you can help with, but any pointers are much appreciated!
I also don't think I could obtain any logs, as it happened at the log-in screen, not when loading RuneLite.

Strange. I am on a mac and use the third option, but get permission denied when I try to access my logs.
