Still having this bug occurring basically daily at this point and as far as I can tell it happens randomly when I am playing or logged out.

Behaviour is:

• Some or all the profiles randomly vanish from the list until reloading the client
• Order of profiles changing
• Linked RSNs to profiles being wiped

I don't know why you are getting this AccessDeniedException. You could try setting the file perms I guess since it's easy to do (so worth a try), but I doubt that fixes it:

Might be part of the problem where for some users profiles.json gets screwed up, usually after their system loses power. We can't recreate that issue though, and we currently don't understand the cause since on the surface what we're doing looks correct.

If that does not solve it, I'd keep checking your logs to see if it's an AccessDeniedException. If it is, try figuring out why your access is getting denied. If you can't figure it out, you could maybe copy a proper profiles.json to profiles.json_backup. When you see it's messed up, close all instances of RL, rename profiles.json to whatever and restore profiles.json using your backup.

Some of those workarounds use strange locations like ~/.var/app/com.jagex.launcher/.runelite/screenshots. You might want to search your system for ".runelite" and look at whatever folders it finds.

The client says server freeze, but I know everyone else is not experiencing any problems. Thinking of just installing another online game and playing that for a while to see if it's just osrs.

In Terminal, run:

If it's not working, download and install the updated RuneLite launcher from the website link in #welcome. You don't need to uninstall your current version. You will not lose any settings or plugins. Then try running safemode again.

My RuneLite is experiencing some stuttering from time to time; the screen freezes and then unfreezes after a few seconds. I have a second monitor where I watch streams or do other things, and the stream doesn't freeze there. Any suggestions

Run the RuneLite (safe mode) shortcut, or with a Jagex account, first run the RuneLite (configure) shortcut and tick the Safe mode box, then launch RuneLite via the Jagex launcher.

Mac
In Terminal, run:
/Applications/RuneLite.app/Contents/MacOS/RuneLite --configureTick the Safe mode box. Launch RuneLite.

If it's not working, download and install the updated RuneLite launcher from the website link in #welcome. You don't need to uninstall your current version. You will not lose any settings or plugins. Then try running safemode again.

To come back to this, it does seem to be an osrs/runelite problem (so not wifi related). I just played LoL for a while and had no issues whatsoever, but in both safe-mode and regular RuneLite I get long freezes, usually when something happens ingame (e.g. access bank, hop into Vorkath, also just during combat), and it does not seem to happen while afk. Any ideas?

I'm playing on a Laptop (Lenovo Legion 5 Pro) and have done so for a long time without any issues...

It's not very predictable when exactly the freezes occur but it is very regular
