Hi guys! First time properly giving linux a dig and I'm running into a few issues with what almost sounds like compressed/low bitrate audio. My power went out, and after rebooting, all of my runelite settings are gone... There's nothing under "profiles" and for some reason in my .runelite, there's a "profiles2" folder instead of the default "profiles". I had notes and tilemarkers from years and years of playing on my iron.

Things I've tried:

• Logged into Runelite
• Launched Runelite by itself instead of through the Jagex Launcher
• Checked profiles tab
• Restored PC from a windows up date last week (this didn't recover anything).

@clear steppe If you're getting an error while trying to install RuneLite in the lines of unable to find unins000.exe that means you have a previous RuneLite version that didn't uninstall cleanly. To fix that you need to delete the following windows registry key: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\RuneLite Launcher_is1

Hello, im still struggling sometimes with spontaneously client closing.

Now I can confirm the gpu's should be working fine. I've been testing and checking every possible setting, reinstalled old drivers from few months ago (when everything was working fine), then updated everything again to latest version and the problem kinda stays the same now.

90% of the time when i'm only using Runelite no browsers or any other stuff on the side the runelite client doesn't "crash". But when i plugin an extra monitor to watch some youtube for example, runelite directly closes on me, this also happens when i start up an extra runelite client (even without any extra monitor's). Also i don't think it's Java related, reinstalled the lastest version few times, with other clients i can run 15 of them without any issues so i really think it's runelite specific because it's the only application that is behaving like this.

Also Runelite already freezes on the start up of an extra client; for example opening two clients simultaneously isn't possible... two clients will start to load and once the login screen is loaded the clients will close one by one after a random amount of time.

Could someone please help me out?

Hello i am currently trying to import my profile to another pc, but i want to do it without swapping files there, so i tried to find the sync button where my profiles are but i couldnt find that button and there were only 4 options Rename Duplicate Profile export profile and delete profile

I'm launching through the Jagex Launcher, i ported across my runelite profile using the properties file. It was from a Mac to a Win11 PC.

I feel like the admins are panicking. It's not working, is it. The new wiki isn't taking off. The vast majority of people are still using the old wiki, even the relatively small amount of people that know about the move.

So last few days I've been having stalls just doing anything in-game. I thought it was my internet but I also checked the logs for these days. When I restart Runelite none of the changes to plugins/new plugins i've downloaded that session are saved. This happens like 75% of the time that I restart RL. I use jagex launcher, have 4 accounts and 3 profiles, and my main is the only one I really make changes to. Default profiles and cloud sync are turned on and set up correctly, but sometimes when theres a RL update the profile for my main dissapears entirely. Would love some help with this, has been happening for a few months. TY!

Does the Chat Color plugin help? I found a plugin a while ago that let me change the color of any game message with a specific set of words. I would enter "received a drop" and then choose purple and it would work.

this is always a hardware issue, it could be anything. For me it was my graphics card overheating

you'll need to do a lot of trial and error. there's no software fix to this

I'm having an issue with rl linux which i'm not really sure how to solve. Is there a way to remove the minimum size of the game window, or otherwise make it shrink below the default minimum size?

I want to achieve this because I have a wide second monitor that cannot fit the minimum height of the window (Pic included)

something about the bank tag layouts plugin seemed to have a conflict with base runelite even with a freshly restarted client (i see there was a pluginhub update for it yesterday). importing a bank tag layout seemed to leave an option in the tabs menu (base runelite) disable layout that ive never seen before, but once clicked seemed to unscuff the layout, it wasnt screenshotting correctly and would not scroll all the way to the bottom until that option was toggled. idk if this is specific to the plugin or a more general base RL thing but figured i should bring it up

Hi, I'm having issues with the "Ground Items" feature. I try to add items to the "Highlighted Items" list, but they disappear whenever I exit the configuration panel. I've even tried adding a comma beforehand, but the list doesn't save. I've tried enablind and disablind, restarting client, etc. Anyone have suggestions?
