Wait this isn't susu sen if you're making a new number system..?
susu sen is just replacing every toki pona word with a new one
I think @vagrant cloak has a fundamental misunderstanding of what susu sen is
"as literally every language"
I think you mean "literally every European language"
i think base 10 is the most common even globally? definitely not every language but it’s not just in europe
(i didn’t fact check this graph, i found it on the internet so i might be totally wrong here)
ok at least wikipedia says decimal is the most common globally
- this isn’t what susu sen was
- “literally every language” and then “[languages that aren’t base 10] are crazy”

Hello, I am a moderator
@vagrant cloak here is what susu sen is:

Please clarify how “Speke izi!” is different or similar to it. If you want to claim that you’re “rebooting” somebody else’s work, then it’s important to be faithful to the original or else to clearly explain how and why you want to change direction. Otherwise don’t claim it and say, for example, that you are making your own language that takes some inspiration from susu sen.
Also please be careful about making generalizations about “every language” when you really mean that something is “very widespread”. Generalizations like this can feel bad to members that have experienced marginalization.
Please also avoid using the word “crazy”, this word has often been used to abuse people in the context of mental health. You can pick a different word like “extreme” or “ridiculous”.
susu sen is a relex of toki pona created in 2024 by the ma pona pi toki pona Discord community. In a series of thirteen polls, users could anonymously suggest replacements...
ok so fine... shut downed.
this is not what I said
as jan Suko has clarified, you were not being faithful to the original work
That’s not quite right! You can definitely continue working on this, just please follow the server rules in chats and discussions ☺️ And specifically:
- since it’s totally different from susu sen, please don’t claim that it is susu sen—but you can totally say something like “inspired by susu sen”
- don’t generalize about languages in a comment by saying something like “all languages are like this”
- don’t use mental health terms like “crazy” or “insane” to say something is “intense” or “weird” or “silly”
That’s all! Best of luck with the conlanging, I hope the new language is a cool one!
