So what is o tawa ala tomo weka kijetesantakalu?
otatwk is þe current name of a Toki Pona film I have been þinking about making for like a monþ. I am not confident in giving it þe descriptor "horror", it's currently about as scary as like Þe Amazing Digital Circus or Þe Backrooms, which is to say to me at least- not very. It has fluxuated in terror þough so maybe it'll change (it has gone down a lot because I am also not a big horror fan).
I asked þe Analog Horror subreddit and þey were like "oh þis seems Analog Horror to me" so ig it's fine.
I don't know if I should like give a rundown of what happens because on one hand: spoilers
but on þe oþer: nobody is going to actually watch þis even if I complete it so who cares about spoilers anyways.
I guess I could say "two girls have trouble finding an appropriate place to film a school project, until þey decide to use þe ol' classic abandoned building which used to be overrun wiþ otters, but while filming, some þings start to get ~wacky~"
I don't know if I will actually do þis or not (I have none of þe equipment needed available to me and þe location is a bit of an issue and I need someone who speaks Toki Pona well to act wiþ me) but it sure is an idea
Idk ifI need lore behind it, like spoilers, but þere are no otters in þe film, þey had left þe building years ago and I don't explain why. I don't want it to be like super lore-y (🚚) it's just a silly little þingy. I am like about 4/9þ of þe way done wiþ þe first draft of þe story and dialogue so þere is still time for þings yk I have no deadline

I'm drawing our main characters and I'm still working on oþer 2D graphics

I already have a written storyboard

It isn't going to be a very long piece of media

Maybe like 20 minutes

Drawing þem is just me wanting to draw- like I already know at least what our main main character will look like, because I will have to play her

Ig þen maybe I shouldn't draw our co-star because þen I would need to find someone who looks like her while casting

I mean who would be þe co star

Like it would probably have to be one of my friends, þey would have to be able to memorize some TP lines (I have þe most lines overall, but she would have a lot longer lines)

I am not super confident I could get one of þem to do it so maybe I would just have to wrangle someone here, who would also have to live reasonably close to me because while most of þese videos are made in Blender, þere is a good reason almost non of þem show þe cameraman, because making a human model look realistic is hard

Me and my best friend are having a bit of a scuffle, and she would better play who I would be anyways (idk why I'm keeping þe names a secret), and I can þink of like 1 or 2 of my friends being a good fit, unfortuanately I cannot fly over to central Asia even if we agreed to do it so þat puts a couple off þe table

I'm þinking if I should keep it set in an analog time period, which would be somewhat difficult because Toki Pona was invented in 2001, so þere are like 1 or 2 more years at most where it would make sense

I originally \semi-major spoilers if I do go þrough wiþ þis:||have jan Lewi get killed (one part because rotoscoping someone out into a digital environment for 20 minutes isn't fun, so if I kill her off a little ways into þe part where I need to use a digital environment, it'll be like 3 or 5 minutes of rotoscoping, assuming she is visible þe whole time (she will not be she will probs be clinging onto Meki in fear by þe time she would be killed off, and same wiþ Meki to Lewi)), and þen some fucked up stuff later wiþ Lewi too|| so maybe I could /same spoilers again:||not do þat and have her live and þen like use þese two later again for someþing if I need some þrow away characters again (calling þem characters is weird to me because it's kinda just like me and one of my close friends being flanderized and altered a bit so it's literally not just me)||
