Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes is an asymmetric cooperative video game about defusing a bomb.

One player, the Defuser, is given a bomb but no means to defuse it. The other player, the Expert, is given a manual to defuse the bomb with but is unable to see the bomb. Together they must communicate and attempt to solve all of the modules on the bomb as per the manual's instructions before the timer runs down on the bomb to 0. It's an excellent test of friendship, especially when it comes to communicating under pressure.

It is possible to play KTANE in toki pona taso to some extent. It's an excellent time - you have to get very very creative! Since the information density of toki pona is smaller, you often have to use longer sentences with vaguer descriptions. And rapid toki uta under pressure feels incredible to do! However, some parts of the game are ill-suited to toki pona taso. Most notably, Who's On First is a module that relies on English jokes, discourse markers (like, okay, uh, yes), and homophones (words with the same pronunciation but different spelling). The manual and the game both also have a sense of humour throughout that add a lot of charm.

I think this would make for an interesting translation project. I think there will be some parts that can be translated right away, and some parts that will require a stage of planning first. Ideally, I'd like to playtest our work, and see if it's fun to play. Needless to say, I'm a bit excited!
