||the second option ive heard is that sunny himself did something that directly resulted in her death (i find this unlikely because maris death was so significant to him and if he were to kill someone else, even if its ''just'' an animal, thats still a living creature and their pet yk? so i would think itd be significant enough to him to at least get mentioned or something||
