It's pretty much a leftover from the game's 2019 build that's in the 1.0 version's files.
Counter used to not make enemies target the user and that was something only Hero could do. When Counter was buffed to make enemies target Aubrey, Charm became useless.

I found a way to fix my save. All I have to do is copy the old save, start a new game and replace that one with the old save and run the game again. Worked like a charm 👌
