Save up energy for release, don't forget to use smile and power hit,
Use emotion to your advantage if necessary like happy vs angry

as general advice for all bosses (but especially for ||sweetheart||), you'll want to make sure the boss isn't faster than you. use items like Jacks, or skills like Trick/Trip to lower enemy speed

also don't neglect healing; I see a lot of players forgetting to heal a low health party member and letting them get toasted

the problem you're describing sounds similar to what happens when you download a savefile off the internet, and try to rename the savefile in such a way that it occupies a slot that you're not using.
for example, in your SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\OMORI\www\save folder, you'll find files named "file1" or "file5" as shown in the image below this message, these files are named so that the number that comes after "file" represents the save slot they occupy on your game. in my case, i have all 6 slots occupied because i made saves on every possible slot. however, if i were to, say, delete all the files in that folder and leave only "file1", i'll find that when i open omori, all of my saveslots are still going to be present as if i had never deleted them in the first place, and they will simply not load correctly once i try to access them in-game.
to remediate this, what people tend to do after downloading a savefile off the internet, is to open up the game, and through one of mari's picnic baskets, save their game on a different saveslot; creating a save through conventional means will accomplish all the necessary preparations that the game is looking out for, so you can then drag a savefile that you've downloaded from the internet, and rename it so that the last number on its name is equal to the position your recently created saveslot is on.

in your case, this means that you should open your game, load a savefile (or alternatively, create a new game if you don't have any other savefiles), then head to the nearest picnic basket and save your game on a different slot (for this example, i'll pretend you saved on slot 3). afterwards, go to your save folder, and copy your corrupted savefile (the one that isn't showing up on your game), and have it replace the file named "file3.rpgsave"

if these instructions are somewhat difficult to follow, i went ahead and recorded a video that showcases me replacing file5 with a copy of file3. you should do the same with your file

additionally, if you can't manage to locate your gamefiles for OMORI, you can access them in a convenient fashion by right clicking on OMORI in your steam library, then left clicking on "Properties...". on the window that opens up right after, go to the "Installed Files" tab, then click on "Browse..." you will be left at a folder that looks like the one on the image. from there, click on the www folder, then on the save folder
