|| well the reality of losing to fear of heights would probably be sunny tripping on his way down and well... we know what happens when you fall down the stairs in this house. even if he did survive he'd probably be unwilling to call emergency numbers or scream for help at this point in the story||

||the reality of fear of spiders is there was an itty bitty spider up the staircase and maybe some in the entry to the house to prompt the hallucination in the first place which like... some spiders can be deadly i guess but like... he's probably fine. unless he somehow manages to panic attack himself to death||

|| the reality of fear of drowning depends on route... on the sunny route it's after sunny hops into the lake to save basil, hero would have presumably still found both basil and sunny so sunny would definitely have lived, though maybe in worse condition since he wasnt focused on keeping himself alive as much, while on the omori route sunny...falls asleep? loses consciousness in some way and submerges into the water in his bath. nobody is there for him in the omori route so if he didnt snap out of his hallucination in time then yea he's dead. drowned in a shallow bathub.||

it messes with the enemy's AI because it forces them to decide their next move earlier than they usually would

when that happens, apparently the enemy's list of skills is slightly altered sometimes due to an oversight or something

so some skills arent available to the enemy when observe is used

the thing that makes that mechanic actually broken in challenge runs (this is basically the only case where the skill is broken yes) is because most of those "observable" skills are basic attacks

so there is quite a few bosses that can be outright cheesed if you are not gonna do anything with omori anyways

||Fight the heights one first and don't rely too much on Hero for healing since it can make him afraid. You should also reduce it's attack using Stare or Smile and use air horns so that you don't run out of time.

For Drowning you should make everyone as angry as possible (it ignores your defence so angry has no downside here) and use Snack Time every turn, + healing items when necessary. When you think it's low enough to finish it off, use Tickle + Red Hands + Beatdown in one turn.

For Spiders, make everyone depressed using rain clouds and reduce it's attack. Make sure you have items that restore everyone's juice at the same time.||

since you said your laptop was 16'', i'm guessing it has a 1536x864 resolution, which has an aspect ratio of 16:10 i believe, i'm not sure if your laptop will have the right resolutions for a 16:9 aspect ratio, but just in case, you should ideally try looking for either 1366 x 768 resolution, or 1280 x 720 resolution. if not, you can try a 4:3 resolution to see how that looks like. some common 4:3 resolutions you might find are 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768 and 640 x 480

Angry vs sad is much worse for nuking, sad enemies take 30% less damage because of some of it being dealt to juice and emotion advantage increases damage dealt by 50%. 0.7 x 1.5 = 1.05, so you're barely dealing any more damage by using it

Also to answer your question: ||omori one day left length varies. Sunny route has a lot of side things u can do like jobs, visit mari's grave and giving her flowers, hanging out with ur old friends, or you can just straight up continue the story by going to ur own house after trying to visit basil. The sunny route one day left can take 1-2 hours max||

Then there's also ||the omori route one day left which doesn't take long at all if u want the ending straight up, go to sleep after doing ur final chores, then wake up after omori helps sunny and choose to sleep until moving day, although you got a lot of side things to do in one day left omori route||

Get enough healing snacks, near the end of the battle they swap your heart and juice then do a lot of damage, so be prepared for that and don’t keep your juice too low

my main battle strategy is just find out what emotion the boss turns into, then spend my first few turns maxing my team out into the stronger emotion (and healing if necessary)
