Party members that are toast at the end of battle do not gain exp, there's a book charm in the library that increases exp gained for one party member to catch up.
The courtyard enemies are the best for exp for now, you can heal at the tea set spot.

hey, i just beat the ||happy ending where sunny goes into the room with his friends and tells them, sad ending where he jumps off, and two 'neutral' endings, where i go to sleep in my house, but in one of them i have the knife||
am i missing any others?
a friend of mine ||googled and said there's still a neutral ending + the 'hikokomori route', so how do i get the other neutral ending? and is the hikokomori route actually worth my time, AKA, how big are the changes?||

There are minor variants in the endings, but you got the 3 major ones. The one I usually think of for the "worst ending" is ||on one day left, when you wake up in the middle of the night at Basil's house, go back to sleep in the living room, and you'll have the neutral ending in a terrible circumstance, I'll leave it at that||
In terms of an alternate route, ||the hikkikomori route is enjoyable if you liked the more RPG/combat aspects of the game, as it expands upon that, it has encounters which can only be done on this route. The story is drastically different from the route you've done already, but there isn't much to it in this route. You can start this route by refusing to open the door for Kel and go back to sleep in your room instead.||

There isn't much to it, as in ||there's SOME story & changes, but keep in mind that the majority of the story takes place in Faraway Town - being a hikkikomori means never going outside, so you don't get any of that. Hard to elaborate further without telling you everything.||

I need closure ||is there any official reason for basil attacking sunny? What was his intent? So many people say two different things. One, to kill both of them or two, to try to comfort sunny by embracing him or something (you can’t run) and Sunny’s only injury is the eye where basil stabs him at the end. short answer: nobody in this situation is thinking rationally - I don't think it's anything that has been explicitly explained by any devs.
longer answer: ||Basil was planning on killing himself, as he is tormented by the past (haunted by SOMETHING) & can't bear to be abandoned again. Sunny walks into Basil's room shortly before this happens, interrupting him. My perception is that the "fight" is more of a metaphor, and Sunny has to physically stop Basil from harming himself/others - the "attack" you use as "Stress" accumulates is a tendril of darkness, which suggests it's not a perfect representation of what happens. I've always considered it in a way that Sunny wrestles the shears away from Basil after physically beating him, but gets stabbed in the eye in the process.||
