I recommend using them at the start of the fight

Here's how I did it:
||Phase 1:||
-Omori, Aubrey, and Kel are your main damage outputs, with Kel being a sub DPS of sorts, being used for emotions and other changes which will be made on the fly
-Hero is your main healer, make sure he has both Snack Time and Refresh(the skill which you gain from the weapon you gain when ||Experiment 667 chases you in Humphrey||, but if you don't have Refresh you'll use him for items and stuff)
-Equip Omori with the ||phobia|| skills, along with ||Red Hands||, three of which are obtainable via ||bossfights|| and one which is just given to you
||Phase 2:||
-Do not give ||Perfectheart|| any emotions, as that'll garuntee a spot for one of your teammates to be killed harder than ||Mari was when she was pushed down those stairs||
-Omori and Aubrey are your main DPS's, they'll be your damage dealers the entirety of this ||phase||
-Kel and Hero will become healers, I used Kel's extremely high speed stat to spam Whole Chickens at the start of every turn and used Hero to spam Whole Chickens and Combo Meals if nessacary
-Do not attempt to change the emotions of your party, keep them as they are and just simply focus on dealing as much damage as humanly possible
-Energy Release when you have 10 energy, shouldn't be hard to do that considering this fight...
Some Other Stat Stuff:
-Level 50 for everyone(Orange Oasis is perfect for leveling quickly!)
-I personally reccommend to forgive ||Abbi|| for the ultimate weapons and charms, but you don't have to if you don't want to
-Use whatever skills/weapons you want, but I generally reccommend Beatdown for Aubrey, Run 'n Gun, Curveball, and Megaphone for Kel, and Snack Time, Refresh, and Charm for Hero

Sadness is useful, but it's better to have Kel spread it using Poetry Books so that Omori can use his turns for Hack Away or Trick.
You should also buy Popcorn at the movie theatre and buy mango smoothies from the smuggler jash to prepare for the fight.||

Its really not. Top chicken has 110 or 120 speed, don't remember, level 50 kel with no items or buffs whatsoever has 130 speed. Naturally weapon+charm increases his speed further so he doesn't have to be all the way at 50.

If you want to kill him fast: make him angry, make team happy.
To survive longer: make him happy, make team sad.
Use debuffs, as he will increase his attack+defense during the fight, Aubrey's Power Hit or rubberband item for defense, either Hero's Smile or Omori's Mock (while boss is angry) for attack.

Flower Crown gives him a skill similar to that of ||Omori's Red Hands||, dunno about the others tho

Contrary to what the other person says its not over if Basil dies as long as you kept up with debuffs on enemies and omoris defense. Dont cheer for attack. Its not worth it||

This game doesn't have Steam Cloud and it's quite easy to set up Steam Auto-Cloud.

I sent an email regarding this a few months ago, but the issue has come up again when I had to change my Steam Deck out.

Based on my experimentation, for at least the Windows build, save files are stored within the game files, at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\OMORI\www\save.

Therefore, to enable Steam Auto-Cloud, the root should be at the App Install Directory, and the subdirectory should be “\www\save”.

(This was as of January 2023.)

This small change, requiring zero change to program code and just a configuration change in the Steam application console, would greatly improve user experience in save roaming.
