here’s how my mom makes chicken and rice
First get a big pot or small pot depending on the people being served, Grab 3 full cups of rice and then one, and one and a half cups of water (4 CUPS OF ONE AND ONE AND A HALF CUPS OF WATER‼️IMPORTANT) Next you put it on a pot, and turn it to 8.0 degrees, put a timer on for 10 minutes and wait, In the meantime start with the chicken, Before you start turn the oven heat to 335 degrees. Then Get one whole chicken or just pieces of chicken, Then put it in a pan and use a VERY small amount of salt on it. Also, don’t forget to put water in the pan, It seems weird but this is what makes the broth, Then put olive oil on it, That is what will make it crispy, Then what you want to do next is put in some seasoned salt, Not too much though. After that you put it in the oven (make sure you preheated it to 335 before starting) and cook it for about a hour, Once it reaches 150 degrees-165 degrees you take it out, Then you have crispy chicken. Now the rice is done and we’re ready to serve chicken and rice (if your feeling spicy add broth to the rice so it’s really good
