they got the night ambience they got like extremely high stakes they got a lot more events to set the tension up

sure its something that a lot of people gloss over playing casually but the buildup to entering aubreys room and just seeing her sad looking at her photos is very intentional and its just not going to land because of how intense everything was beforehand

i feel like a casual reader would have been so overwhelmed by the sheer amount of just insane stuff that happened that they would kinda not care about aubreys potential suicide at that point?

which kinda just kills the entire point of that plotline

base headspace is not DESIGNED around a character who has their whole mentality and mindset turn around for the better in just 3 days because its written to play out as episodes from a saturday morning cartoon with the goal to find basil (quoted) which is why hikkikomori route doesnt narratibly break the moment you enter day 2 in headspace

I read Chapter 17. The manga continues to feature original storylines that differ from the game. While I generally appreciate these original developments, there were some points in this chapter that even I found difficult to defend.

Things I liked: I was glad to see the focus on the hooligans (like Kim's past as a recluse). I particularly enjoyed the revelation that Aubrey helped Kim in the same way she had helped him in the past.

Things I didn't like so much: I understand that they had to create a plot because it's a significant departure from the game. However, I felt sorry for the uncle who had to get into a car accident for the sake of the plot.

a bit more reasonable back then to have that low of an expectation

besides the anatomy volume 1 did have some laughably inconsistent perspective sometimes

it was more a consistency thing

sure volume 1 has its good pages here and there but like 90% of the manga didnt look like that and the main difference with nuis style then and now is that the 90% has been lowered to like

also colored pages are known to be postprocessed and colored by omocat herself so thats not as good to judge NUI's art 💔

While Sunny is probably not very tall (Probably about 5 and a half feet or something along those lines), I refuse to believe he's this short, unless Kel is just an absolute giant and while I don't doubt the fact that Kel is pretty tall (Somewhere within 6 feet is my estimate) I doubt he'd be big enough for the shots to look like this
