i just think that it doesn't fit in the context of omori or characterization. it would fit sunny slightly, because he doesn't have a healthy eating habit, but for the others, it's kinda awkward and not really following their vibe or backstory, if it makes sense. everyone is allowed to like the manga's art style, yes, and im glad they do. i and a few others just have our reason for not liking it. thats just my opinion, though

Like, one of my favorite games ever is Zelda Twilight Princess
TP have a manga adaptation as well, which is really good BTW, but it does changes key parts of the story by adding more onto the backstory of key characters/tweaking a little bit how the story advance and what hurdles are met, even if the same underlying story is told

Making a mod of TP that follows the Manga would need a mix of adapating stuff and not adapating it, otherwise you end up with dungeons that last 3 rooms, and that's boring as all hell haha
So it'd be possible to do a mod that adapt the extra storylines, but then you'd need a careful mix of the two versions to make it work

Conceptually, that's not a flaw of the manga IMO
A manga being boring in any other medium than a manga is not inherently a problem, there's a reason x or y support is chosen to tell a story
And in fact, if you want to make a story that looks like it'd be fun in every possible medium, you're gonna end up making something super bland, or super long for no reason

the first like 10 chapters or so are free, the ones after that are paywalled (but you can watch ads for points and then buy new chapters with those, it does have a daily limit though so it takes a few days per chapter)
alternatively, its also available physically on like amazon and such (japanese is the only language that has all 3 volumes so far as far as i know, but volume 1 is also available in german, english, brazilian portugese, korean and spanish)

keep in mind its still ongoing, new chapters are published around the 24th of each month
