i'm surprised to read someone on discord complain about unwanted advertisements, since i thought adblockers were a widely known type of extension. could it be your web browser disallows the usage of adblockers?
in the case it does block those type of extensions, and if it's feasible for you to switch to another web browser, i recommend the following options:

for computers: the "Firefox" web browser offers the best compatibility with the convincingly best adblocker, which is uBlock Origin. you might already be familiar with this name, as it got very popular a few years ago when it emerged as a competitor to the formerly popular "Adblock Plus".
Firefox is recommended in this instance because it provides unique tools that adblockers can take advantage of, and promises to maintain indefinite support for the "Manifest V2" extension type, which is imperative for adblockers to be able to stop ads from loading (optimized loading time of websites and performance), as opposed to simply hiding them (enhances usability of website, but is suboptimal compared to the other method).
otherwise, if the layout of Firefox is not to your liking, the "Brave" web browser is also optimal for uBlock Origin, as it also promises to persist with "Manifest V2". "Brave" also comes included with its own adblocker, which is inferior to uBlock Origin, but still sufficient if you do not want to go through the trouble of manually installing an extension

thank you! this worked like a charm. it indeed attempted to redirect me to an advertisement website once i clicked on the download button. the redirection got caught by the "Popup Blocker (strict)" extension i shared earlier on the conversation. (shown on the first image)
allowing the website to bypass the Popup Blocker opens the popup on a new tab, but the tab immediately shuts down, which is interesting, because when i manually allow the popup to load via the Popup Blocker extension, it successfully opens the advertisement website, although that advertisement website in itself then gets blocked by uBlock Origin's filters, as shown on the second image

i'm not too adept on writing, but i can give you my first impression of whichever idea you came up with, as a sort of "second opinion" or "third-party observer"

Okay so essentially, the plot builds off of Stuck by Bossco15, where Mari pushes Sunny down the stairs, thinks he's dead, but ends up burying him alive. She then tells everyone Sunny just ran away.

The part I'm gonna write, has Hero's dad owning a renovation company and he has a request from the new neighbours to build a pool for them. By chance, Hero ends up wanting to help out a little, to build his resume and stuff

You can probably guess where this is going.

The fic is gonna go through how everyone reels from realising that it was Mari who killed Sunny, Mari being in jail etc.

I haven't had concrete plans for this yet

in my personal opinion, my first impression of this concept is that it is notoriously somber, and i believe it falls a bit out of line with || how the game handles the presentation of somewhat-similar topics such as sunny accidentally pushing mari, and basil "helping" in covering up the crime ||
however, this could possibly be remedied with equally impeccable writing, and the way the reader perceives the situation could be widened in order to "excuse" mari's actions, or "make sense" of why the incident in your story is as tenebrous as it is. personally, if a story is exceedingly dark and negative, it ends up failing at "suspending my belief", as i'm led to believe that the contents of the story are so unlikely that there is no possible way that the situation would ever happen in real life, and makes it clear that what i'm reading is fictional and that the story is nothing more than just a story

in the case of this AU, i find that it would not properly allow me to immerse myself in the story, as its contents are not only exacerbatingly depressive, but unlikely

my reasoning for this is that i find it unlikely that:

1. mari would not check for any signs of life after accidentally pushing sunny. (you mentioned the story already establishes that mari is wrong in the head, so if this is properly elaborated upon, i don't think i would see any issues with this, since i can believe that a "crazy mari" would simply assume that "what's done is done" and would begin attempts at saving herself)

2. nobody would notice sunny calling for help. (this issue could be circumvented if the story explains to the reader in a diegetic way that sunny was alive, but unconscious the whole way through)

3. people wouldn't ask why exactly mari knew that sunny "ran away", as one would expect that a completely innocent mari would be as confused as everyone else regarding the disappearance of sunny

4. hero was able to find a body buried in the ground, and recognize it as such

Like, yeah it’s omori characters and lore, but the way you figure out the story and watch it unfold in the game is phenomenal. But the manga just kinda.. throws you in straight to the creepy stuff.

Oooooh- I see. Apologies, by fanfictions we mean 'fan made stories' here. As a writer I made plenty, but I'm barely able to hold a pen and draw Kel with Basil or Sunny. I have plenty of issues with the manga pacing, though, and that I could at least explain/elaborate even if I don't draw, even if I just write. I think many talented people are in the fandom, but I'm not confident I've seen anything like what you descibe there.

I know plenty of aus (Alternate universes) though which is art made by people in stories that differ from the original. For Example, I'm obsessed with the interlopers AU where Kel, Aubrey, Hero and Sunny all venture in headspace together, years post truth, since Basil fell in a coma and they're trying to figure out what happened.

There are several elements of criticism of the official Omori manga found here and elsewhere on the internet.
It's too fast-paced, the storytelling, the art style, etc, etc... There are even opinions about certain ships.
Earlier, there was even an opinion here that I should be hired. Yes, if that's the case, I'm sure you can draw a manga that completely clears those elements, so I just wanted to see it.

The important thing is that it's "officially."
I'm interested to see what kind of official manga the people who criticize the official omori manga will draw. And how will they be better than the official omori manga currently being serialized?

It's not that I dislike AUs, there are a lot of really interesting ones, like what would happen if Mari told White Space if Sunny died.

I have plenty. My main issue is the pacing and the full skipping of some key elements- the phobias are main fights in game with their depth, here the 'fear of heights' is barely, barely touched in the stair scene. The real world coming 'before' the Headspace introduction felt off as well, even if as a big Kel fan I will never fully complain about seeing my favorite kid at the very beginning.. The art style is something I cannot completely criticize since I am limited myself, I can show you a pic of two of what I make but I'm not that good. On ships... I think that's the less important aspect, even if I do admit I cannot help but adoring KelxSunny or KelxBasil- that can't be everything.

And.. I wish to see something like that as well. Sadly, I'm not skilled enough to produce it and I'm working on my own mod for the game, meaning I can't dedicate time to much else. It would all be fantastic, though. To see a remake of the official manga.

Being a non-English speaker myself, I get really depressed every time I see the strong language they use (even though it may be casual slang).
I agree with you about the fear of heights. I think they could have explored it a bit more, maybe with a page of flashback to the moment he falls into the lake.

For example, if this server had a channel for posting "omori manga in a better style than I think" in addition to the fan art posting channel, then I would be able to know how they would draw it if they were to post official omori manga.

I fear we're just used to more passionate languages here, I am italian so I am aware I can come off as very passionate, but I think one thing to keep in mind is that most criticism stems from a place of love. We're all here because we adore Omori to bits (at least I am or I wouldn't devote what little time I have to creting mods, fanarts, fanfictions and even learning how to croched to learn how to make omori plushies myself) and the manga has been a bit of a disappointment for a few reasons.
The pacing is what kills my enthusiasm the most, to be honest. We're already on sweetheart castle, somehow, but still in day 1 in real world. AND we skipped the entire forest with the spiders, basically skipping another bit of phobia like Sunny's fears are irrelevant.
Nui being a manga artist with a certain reputation, I fear, is also causing further chaos. I've been banned from a discord server for, sarcastically, saying hero looked really appealing in the manga. It was sarcastic, but it was not taken lightly (It's kind of depressing considering I work with social serviices in my country, too, so my main goal is to protect young people). I'm aware of cultural differences between east and west, but we do easily feel negatively for things that can make minors 'appealing'.

I could probbaly write a lot about why the pacing just demolishes the manga, at least to me, but I will spare you that. And... OH, I think I'd love that. There were artists that actually did a rewrite of chapter 1. I need to find if it was gathered somewhere, though

I understand the cultural differences. In fact, I was born and raised in Japan, so I had no problem with the art style. In fact, when I saw the comment "appealing draw," I even thought, "No, no, that's just because you guys are excited to see it." I understand the cultural differences, but when strong words are used about it, as if it were cancel culture, it feels like the culture itself is being denied to me.
You're certainly right about the pacing issue.
But the real problem is, I don't know how to draw pyrefly forest. I don't think it's interesting to draw it in a way that consumes a page every time you battle a rabbit.

I am not sure I completely understand your 'no no that's just because you guys are excited to see it' bit, my apologies. Sadly, some expressions the characters make do make me uncomfortable and that's something thatt I see in a lot of countries outside of Japan. I speak from europe, some speak from North AMerica and I have friends from South America who feel the same. It's especially some of Basil's expressions (And I love Basil to bits) that make people uncomfortable and while I understand in your culture it means probably nothing, it is being sold in places where certain things do have a signiicance.
The pacing drives me insane.
Honestly. Just addressing the fact that Sunny is afraid of spiders and has to move forward would be... something, at least. Not a battle every rabbit, but Omori being pushed forward by his friends while traveling through a forest? Have a bit of focus on the friends' bond, on how Sunny/Omori is scared but also have another big moment about how with his friends he can face his fears. Maybe even a couple of pages figuring out the puzzles together.

I am trying to, I hope to be clear enough because I'm definitely tired and communication is not my forte, I fear.

It's a complete cultural difference, so I don't think we'll ever get to agree on Basil's art style. But from my Japanese sensibility, it's just "Just Illustration". It may seem unpleasant, but... I don't think there's anything I can say about this.
It's possible that the depiction of spider phobia will be depicted in the future. It's true that there was no depiction of him being encouraged by his friend at the entrance to the forest like in the game. However, the timeline of the manga is already intentionally going back and forth, as you can see in the first episode.
As long as the manga is not a complete copy of the game, it's quite possible that the plot will be changed, for example, to have a spider on your shoulder while exploring the library in Sweetheart's castle.
It might be okay to add a scene where you solve a puzzle, but it will probably be simplified like the scene in the first episode where RW walks through the city with Kel.

We can, however, focus on the positives, right? Like, you did mention Kel and I have to admit he's my favorite part in the manga. I know, I am biased, but I love what Nui did with him. You see he's carefree, but you can also see his emotional maturity at play in more than one occasion and I think it's beautiful. The latest chapter, which had Kel have a flashback about Aubrey and then he proceeded to go 'I will fix things with her' was beautiful. He's such a good kid.
