I'm really disliking the manga so far, I think the story is rushed and the artstyle is inappropriate at times.
I don't really have high hopes for the later chapters either since some moments in the game are memorable because of their gameplay (the SPACE EX-BOYFRIEND, KITE KID and OMORI bossfights) or their soundtrack (Mari's theme and the Final Duet come to mind. Arguably RW AUBREY's bossfight and most Faraway sections also benefit a lot from the soundtrack)
Not only that, but OMOCAT's main reason to make OMORI a videogame was that the story didn't work as a graphic novel, so her suddenly turning back on that and just releasing the story as a manga is weird. more so if you count the fact that the manga is only (legally) readable in Japan and The United States, which makes me think that maybe she didn't have the biggest amount of trust on the quality of the manga

I like the game alot, the manga though is ehhh nah. I could’ve lived happily without it but now that it’s there in the way it is I will read it. Safe to say it did not live up to my gigantic expectations and excitement but that’s okay
