im saying instead of the spiders, sunny sees something in the dark when he gets home, and then when he goes to sleep he goes to otherworld, and then when he wakes up on day 2 Something in the walls shows up and Sunny has to conquer his fear and quick as he needs to open the door for Kel.

The REAL issue with this i've realized is that unless we find some way to have Sunny blackout again, he's going to conquer his fear of water before they go through Pyrefly.

the reason why it's not a glitchy mess is because they purposely hard code glitches not to happen 90% of the time but that in turn causes more glitches if you actually bother fucking around and stop playing the game

the game never actually tries to challenge you with new stuff

the game is intentionally made to be easy (which can be easily shown with pretty unnecesary nerfs done in the last year of development) which means it dosnt really try to throw gimmics at you that often, as such most skills and general boss design end up just being "shit attacks you and you attack shit". the 2 times the game tries to give you a disadvantage are funnily enough the 2 battles that were released after the game dropped and the devs had a time to breathe and fucking think how a rpg works (these being bossman hero removing your main method of healing and the friends fight actually outnumbering you with strong foes).
this leads to an overall repetitive combat system (which omocat is well aware of considering she suggest the same strategy all over the guidebook). which basically fails at game design of "once the player finds the optimal strategy you should shake it up a little". this is mainly because of the late addition of emotion advantage into the game making them not really have a need to use the emotion advantage in boss design, and as such all they really do is lock themselves in 1 emotion essentially forcing you to do one playstyle because fuck you, that late addition also means that the emotions werent designed to pair up against eachother. leading to angry vs sad being the worst emotion advantage by far due to them contradicting eachother and basically canceling out your damage boost due to the enemies having a large amount of juice (that they dont even USE btw). most quests arent very involved either and charms are just simple stat boosts rather than actual stuff that changes gameplay (the one attempt at this is abbis eye which actually does a pretty good job in introducing a neash use (in the form of nuking with attack again for a good amount of damage at the cost of omoris stats)
