I’m glad the chapter came out at all and wasn’t delayed to hell, when it didn’t come out in spring I thought, “oh well, guess I’m waiting like half a year or something.” But oh my goodness the first chapter is so fast paced that if I hadn’t played Omori I would’ve just been confused when reading it, that’s kind of how you feel when playing the beginning of the game but this chapter throws so much at you that it’s a way different type of confusion, it’s not “what’s happening” it’s “why does any of this matter?” I know why it matters but to someone who never played the game Mari being dead means nothing because what the hell is a Mari. I like how it’s not just a retelling of the game though that would’ve been so boring.
