For instance Ascari, knowing it's a left, transitioning into a flowing right and then a left switch again I'd brake around 150-100m from the corner

But it's certainly tempting to get ACC

I use a Logitech G29. It's very nice feeling, and the physics are customizable. All the normal force feedback wheel settings are there, and you can also change the braking intensity (which is basically sensitivy + power combined), truck suspension, and trailer suspension

here's a few more screenshots I've taken over the years. the last one is my all time favorite, the time of day made the lighting so perfect. since that pic was taken, they've changed photo mode so you can set it to any time of day or weather, making stuff like that easier to achieve

If you go through a weigh station, you'll get a fine. Your character will also periodically black out for a few seconds at a time, during which you will have no control over your truck, which can and will lead to disaster lol
