I really like Coyote tractors, a knockoff brand from the 90s that never made anything bigger than 30hp.
I cannot however argue that they are popular and my opinion of that product is all that matters.

I tried setting up an item sorter but it didn't work and just threw out everything

You can imagine my surprise when the chest was completely empty

The limitation is that I want the sorter to only throw out bows because I want to keep the armor

Might setup a sorter for bones, gunpowder, and rotten flesh, then send the rest into two double chests

solution to that is to have the first hopper sort bows, then the later one for everything else

then instead of it leading to a chest, lead it to a dropper or dispenser that will eject it into the lava

IIRC fire also works?

but yea autosorters can be tricky

none of the ones I've found do

They usually just send unstackable items into a chest on the end

If I set the sorter up to keep everything, it's gonna fill the last chest with bows and everything else is gonna pile up, but if set the sorter up to get rid of everything that isn't common drops then everything that could potentially be valuable would be trashed
