I wish that ETS and ATS had like repeating jobs from the same location sometimes. More local stuff would be fun with strait trucks

@zenith blaze is there something i need to know about manual transmissions in ETS2. The shift patterns are really odd and not shifting smoothly

so the shifting smoothly, in ATS i can just lift off the throttle and slide into the next gear. ETS its constantly grinding when i try to do that

also mainly 12spd but have like 3 splits.

my trucks are normally 1L 1H ect to 4th, range change and do 5-8 in the same way

ohh i just changed it to range and it seems to be a bit better, had it on volvo 12+2

road ranger and ishift felt the same. You still have a clutch that is automated so when I say engage them you get over the rpm threshold and they are fulling on you dont let up on the throttle from that point and use the brake as your reverse throttle

Volvo powershift is a 6 speed automatic with a torque converter on 1, 2, 3 and 4 but it's rare to see it on 4 unless you change up really early

a 2006 DAF we got takes almost twice as long shifting gears than the MAN xD

might just be that the DAF got a cheaper gearbox though

But our newer E6 DAF with it's crane doesnt shift that much better 😛

Originally learned to drive in a EU manual truck.
But would still prefer those DAF gearboxes that are kinda 'slow'
