First you have to enable the dev console

C:\Users[you]\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2022, then you want to open "game.XML" and go to the line which says "<controls>false</controls>"

Change out "false" to "true" and the dev console will be available to open by pressing "~"

Alternatively, it may be the key next to the number "1" key

Once you have the console open and in text mode in game, you want to type in "gsHudVisibility" and press enter

To turn the HUD back on you simply write the same command in, if you have had it already typed in before in the same game session you can simply press the arrow up key to get it back quickly

Yes, and where does that indicate what is being changed? A patch is useless if they still are unclear on what the players are finding totally unusable. Force feedback is so bad I just about have given up playing. I need it to be turned off entirely and let the software for my wheel manage it like it did in FS19.

IMO main problems with the game are not bugs,. Is with general structure of the game and what was chosen to pull in that should have been left to mods that were working incredibly well for the task at hand. To me very much an example of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" that created many of the issues that are struggling for me to ever see FS22 as a worthy successor to FS19. What has been provided with integrated seasons and AI workers is a shell of what was already present. Any way, not sure many feel the same way, but that is where I am at. It's a lot like Coca Cola messing up Coke. Then having to issue Coke Classic. It's OK to realize you have something incredible in what you already have in the market and build on that instead of trying to replace it.

I would respectfully disagree. The tightness of the calendar means the chances to harvest are difficult to balance. Most geo calendar mods with seasons had larger planting and harvesting windows, which was reflective of the different regions and so you could play the mod appropriate to the map. I would suggest that the climate for Elmcreek and Erlengrat is vastly different than Haut Beyerlon near the Mediterranean yet the crop calendar is the same constrained one. With regards to your second point, I do not know how much work it takes a modder to make something as complicated as Seasons, Autodrive or Courseplay, but if it was me I may no longer work on it now that Giants has said "mine" and grabbed it in base game. Why compete with the publisher? It is one thing to release those mods when the base game did not have it, thereby extending capability, but now if it becomes a competition with that Giants will enhance and what the modder will and the modder works for free, I could see the mods never getting released. Hope I am wrong, but these are the "unintended consequences" that if a little thought is put into them when developing strategy are not too hard to see as clear as day,.

I suggest Giants should focus on enhancing the API and the connection points modders can exposeand exploit and not try to reinvent the wheel.

Well, first of all, not a lot of maps had geo calendar mods for seasons. The base mod was just as strict in its calendar. Yes, you could have improvised, with a geo mod for a specific nation/region, but I expect map creators who really want to add a bit of spice will tweak their calendar, or there will be mods touching on that. Right now it's too early to say how it will be handled.
As for Courseplay, honestly, 3/4 of what it does technically is covered by the FS19 helper, if a lot more rudimentary, yet it was released and constantly updated for that game. Courseplay is still a lot more advanced than the FS22 basic helpers, so, at least in my eye, it is definetly worth it to port the mod to FS22

I assume you meant Autodrive for the 3/4 done by helper. If so, I did like the fact I can store points. Then my Goto could have a selection for the fields. It still is a mere shadow of what was in the mods. I understand Giants has said they will improve it, but have you used it? The slow down around ay turn, the constant wheel twitch at intersections? I have not found a way for the AI worker to unload the combine, which is an Autodrive feature that was very beneficial. Every choice is a questions of priority. Giants spent time doing these things, which were already done, so if the community wanted them they had the mods (I understand console players did not and perhaps that was the main reason Giants added them in game), and in the mean time Giants did not work on something else. A decision was made to choose this over something else and the opportunity cost of what was lost is something we will likely not know. What new feature like production chains (which I hope modders expand on a lot to add other chains into the game, much like Global company did) could have been developed instead that would have added something new to the game rather than just inserting something that was already there? That's the question I am suggesting Giants should consider in the future.

If I knew how to mod that might be true. Even so should not turning seasons off in the menu have done that? Just like if I turn off force feedback in the menu it should stop, yet it does not? I'd certainly be happier if the interface functioned as it should and when I turn things off there were, instead of as the help says "even with seasons off you can plant but growth cycles stay".

Yes, I have done in-game missions with a recent tractor that I own. I looked at the value of the tractor before and after the mission: the tractor loses 7000€ in value after a small plowing mission that only brought me 4000€. Plus the loss of value on the plow.
The maintenance cost of the machines is much higher than what the missions bring in, there is a balancing problem, the maintenance costs are much too high.
