Man, does it feel good to be home. Bought this farm in riverbend springs over a year and a half ago but never got to really look at it due to life getting in the way, the old barns were destroyed so I had them cleared away and new ones put up, diesel tank, chicken coop, and trailer got moved because the hill was subsiding bad...
I was so busy with getting the property livable that I never noticed this old shed in the woods with a relatively nice old farm truck inside, so my flood auction Skoda doesn't need to do the heavy work 😅

Thanks! Yeah, the lighting turned out really well. I’ve been watching some professional tutorial videos for Reshade, focusing on color grading, tonemapping, and everything in between. Next, I’m planning to test the RTGI shader. The hard part is finding a setting that works across all different day cycles and lighting conditions.

Most shaders I’ve downloaded from others tend to focus on just one specific time of day. They’re often way too grainy, overly saturated, too vibrant, or way too sharpened—which just doesn’t look good overall. It’s not easy to strike the perfect balance between realism and visual appeal.

As you can see, though, I’m already getting pretty close to reality with the way the colors, tonemapping, and lighting come together. It’s all about subtle tweaks—adjusting the shadows, highlights, and vibrance so they feel natural without going overboard. A lot of the challenge is in making the settings adaptable, so they look good no matter if it’s sunrise, midday, or dusk.

It’s a process of trial and error, but honestly, that’s part of the fun. Every little improvement makes the scene feel more alive, and it’s super satisfying when everything clicks into place. Once I’ve nailed the RTGI shader, I think it’ll really elevate the visuals to the next level.

I think the reason for shaders being focused on one time of the day is because people tend to only use shaders for picture and not gameplay
