there's a photo mod that when you press the pause button , you can select 1 for low quality, and 2 for high quality, and that will increase LOD cutoff distance

Sometimes you can grab it from the outside of the silo, using a bucket. You could also try painting the terrain in build mode as that may delete the remaining silage.

No set number for animals but all the achievements have to be gotten as well plus the productions so for some animals that are included in those productions we'd want more than 1 obviously or it would take forever to get enough milk or eggs or wool to run any production. Lol
