autodrive is involved to setup if you make your own routes, but not hard, courseplay basically does everything itself, based on the settings you enable like how many headlands to do, and whatnot.

one thing i enjoy about autodrive is that it actually makes it practical to have a car or similar on your farm, whereas vanilla gameplay doesnt really have any purpose for it.

ive never used the helpers besides from driving tractors to my farm when i move maps, but i heard all the array of tasks arent done too terribly

making autodrive routes is time consuming, using a car that can actually drive quickly and handle well is a big help vs a tractor going 10mph.

its faster, basically.

benefit of courseplay is that it can do stuff like headlands, it can skip rows which speeds up the turnaround time on vehicles with a wide turning circle (since they dont have to reverse to align with the row) and many other things that improve efficiency.
