actually they tried to. greenhouse slowed the first one down, and caught this one outright. now there's a log stuck in the overhead xD

i'd planted a small stand of spruce , then later expanded my greenhouses. didn't realize until after the greenhouses were dropped what i'd done. fs22 did not remove the saplings, so they kinda...skewered the greenhouses.

allegedly american elm provides the most wood, but they're labor intensive. i find lodgepole pine (on silverrun forest) and spruce provide the best labor to material balance, especially when they're 30some meters tall.
