What you can do is take the fenceless pens mod, place 1 with the feeding trigger the way you want it and place all the others just randomly about. Then hide the grid on all of them and purchase some animals in them and hide the other feeding triggers with bushes. Then surround the whole area with a fence and now you've got an sort of custom pen

I'd say so, they give a boost to some crops and the honey is a nice steady bonus, the honey comes in for free just like the FS19 beehives did, only difference is it'll spawn as pallets that you have to go sell in FS22, so it's not really passive income.
I have bees in every single save.

I will suggest a mod like this honey pallet rack (you need to place a specific spawn point for the honey pallets) as it allows 6 pallets to spawn in, the basegame honey pallet spawn spot only spawns one pallet at a time, and may hinder the honey production a bit if you leave a full pallet in that spot too long.

Always makes me sad how "lifeless" machinery like that feels in most games
Stuff like that is heavy, it resists movement, it wobbles on its tyre sidewalls when you steer, if it's articulated it moves weight to one side and starts trying to oscillate the centre hitch
All of that is missing if the game's not doing enough to replicated stuff like soft body physics / suspension properly

Even stuff like oil compression / hose flex in hydraulics starts to play a role; on the really big stuff there is bounce / delay in the controls that no game really simulates
