#Adding a Jerry can to the server would be very helpful.

Even better reason to bring back the COP
Can the Jerry cans be lit on fire or explode when shot?
Alternative idea
We could possibly make the standard that an ogre asset is on standby in the field with a fuel truck or some sort of specialized vehicle for field replenishment/resupply/refuel at a location like the PB
.
Ope I didn't see that haha
Haha I totally agree with you though lol
I mean, we already call ogre all the way from the ops base or wherever to come recover downed assets, why not have a QRF specifically for the field maintenence of assets? I feel like it would assist in maintaining optempo and reduce downtime for fielded assets (provided they are not in a state that requires them to be returned for a full repair)
I most likely will be including this in my plan of actions during this next restart. Posting an ogre asset close to the AO for a QRF
Which can be done with the repair truck nicely located at the fortified PB
Better yet, we buy an extra set of Huron containers, Repair, rearm, refuel and have them designated to be sling loaded out in the field by stalker.
Of course, they are not free and there’s a risk taking them out, but the reward is also great if we have multiple assets operating.
As much as I would love to bring in Huron containers, I thing having the repair truck brought out to the fortified PB would be a better option for multiple reasons. Primary one being, it is supposed to be for ogre to go in and assist assets that could be disabled in the field and need either a tow or refuel or something in the heat of action, or if necessary, towed back to base for overhaul
Agree, point being is that pushing up our logistics is a smart move.
Same as having Ogre conduct the last leg of transport from HLZ’s to a VDO when HLZ needs to be placed far away from the objective for whatever reason
Yes this too, what I've tried to do as 1-6 is take a quilin out and be a Frontline transport to free up ogre from that task. But if we have enough of them that's a very useful tool
If we go the route of deliberately pushing our logistics up, PB placement should be placed strategically, easy to land helicopters around it, so it can be used as a FAARP.
And or HLZ for when we cap the first objective and becomes too much of a hike to the next one.
If we start using PB’s like this I can start to like it, how it’s used right now is often times very human wavey
if its safe to do so and stalker is able to, they could sling load the vic back to base to save on repairs or refueling, plus its faster than towing
I kinda disagree with that thought becase We are talking about combat assets that are most likely in hostile territory. So there will most likely never be an opportunity for a stalker asset to get anywhere near those vehicles. On top of The fact that we normally already have a limited amount of stalker assets, tasking them with vehicle recovery would be a waste of resources when we have a logistic unit whose entire job is based around transporting units and assets. The hope with fielding an ogre unit with a repair vehicle is that they would be able to be at the pb ready to repair and refuel vehicles in a quick manner without them having to return to base. (I'm not sure if they could rearm as well but if they could that would increase the employability of them even more)
Tilly, stewie, lavv, what do you guys think?
Rearming would require us taking out an ammo Huron, but the rest is doable with the trucks, so I think optimal is having 1 repair truck, 1 fuel truck and 1 ammo container.
Also stalker is great for flying out ogre for abandoned vehicles. Have had Ogre Fast Rope down to recover vehicles vehicles in the middle of forests with no viable HLZ’s.
Super fun, super efficient
If I'm not mistaken, we do not have fast rope
Tho we totally should of we are in Africa. Black hawk down type shoz
Shiz
Sometimes we do sometimes we don’t, we had it on the Blackhawk many times
stalker is logistics but keyword was if they are able to
if there is no stalker to move the container use a flatbed
I'm curious tilly do you think it would be better to bring the Huron containers out to the field or just have a r and r vehicle out there
I mean what's the point of a fuel truck if we arent going to use it
1 Fuel truck 1 Repair 1 flatbed and 1 ammo contrainer
