I genuinely think the reason why I spent the majority of last map at the fob is because of this issue. The lack of mobility leads to inopportune target acquisition and it’s just easier to stay at a TOC and process ISR then call fires.

not all true. you can use a type 2 as well. the only control you cant use is type 1 which really shouldnt be used that much with all the SA threats in the server. IMO type 3 is the most effective and least restrictive for your aircraft. i guess i dont get why type 3 is a bad thing. also kinda new here so not sure whats what

ok so they are the exact same except for the clearance. type 2 can also be used when the jtac cannot get eyes on the targets. Having the bikes would be cool but does not effect your type of control unless you planned on type 1 attacks which from my understanding is what the post was about

Not exactly. Further on in the publication it reads that you must be able to visually acquire the target with either yourself, or real time targeting data (ROVER, ISR feed, etc).
The main difference is the lack of need to visually do so every time with type 3. You still have control, but the type 3 control allows for multiple attacks, while type 2 maintains control of individual attacks.
Regardless, this post was not intended for arguments of the minutiae. This post was to advocate for some hot girl shit to help the JTACs provide better control via increased ability to maneuver about the terrain, regardless of type of control.
