#New IR Lasers not working on the 249 SAW

Came across a bug recently with the new IR laser/illum mod and running Auto rifleman with the 249. I have gotten the new IR laser/illum to work properly on the M4s after realizing I had to unbind the vanilla laser so they both wouldn't fire.

However, on all modded IR lasers and on all 249 variants, only the IR illum works properly. The IR laser beam seems to collide with some part of the 249, creating the IR "bloom" where the laser usually hits an object, but it is just at the gun itself. The illum and vanilla laser still work properly, but it's just annoying to have to rebind which laser I want to use each time I run rifle vs autorifle. Thanks!

not a fan of the mod in general tbh. it’s adding an additional (admittedly minor) layer of complexity in order to solve a problem that didn’t really need solving, while in turn causing issues like this. the old lasers and illum options were fine, 99.9% of arma players don’t need fine control over the cone of their IR flashlight

well a visible laser wouldn't be an option without the mod to be fair lol

will test here soon tho

Its strange because on an M4 i had no problems

again to clarify, mod IR laser was not working, vanilla was working fine. Modded illum also working.

Apparently now it works on 249. Disregard

Did you ever figure out a solution, I’m having the same issue

So the issue I found was intermittent, sometimes it would show up, sometimes it wouldn't. Unsure if there is a 100% fix or solution yet...

Just use the default laser. Drop ITN

For me, it was the bipod or how I was mounted. But default lase works fine. However I do like ITN for all it offers

Why drop ITN? It doesn't hurt anyone and it adds the IR illuminator that makes PID at range on dark nights easy
