Epinephrine
We’ve all been in a situation where the medic is away and we are stuck giving someone CPR for ages just for them to flop. Having access to epipens would be a big help in getting them out of cardiac arrest without a medic. I did some research and some units receive epipens for the whole squad(for chemical warfare purposes). There is history of the Russians using chemicals on us on Altis.

Morphine
In my opinion only medical personnel should be allowed morphine even if it’s not realistic to real life units. Only medics can see exact numbers for player vitals. A newer or unknowledgeable player might see normal heart rate(if they even check) and think “okay cool it’s safe to use morphine for my pain” when in reality their heart rate was only 80-90. Either their HR lowers too far or even worse they use multiple injectors. Morphine more bad than good I say.
Thank you for coming to my Tedtalk
#Full access to Epipens(adrenaline)& Morphine

Pretty sure that epinephrine is already in the arsenal for everyone and saying that morphine does more bad things, than god things is just straight up wrong. Morphine is incredibly helpful and everyone can check the triage card to see if and when morphine was administered the last time. If people don't know how to use it properly then tell them, so they can use it accordingly.
Yeah, epinephrine can be given by anyone.
Morphine is alright but I tend not to use it since painkillers just do it better
I might be mistaken but I can’t put Epi into my kit unless I’m in a medic role
If you're in an active engagement at closer ranges painkillers just don't cut it with the time you need to take them and the delay until they actually do something.
Fair, but I also tend not to live until I get close and personal a lot of the time
Since I am sadly cursed to just get shredded by snipers and mortars
Also, keep in mind, not every shot inflicts severe pain
Many hits will only induce mild or regular
Also, medics have access to naloxone, which can be used to reverse morphine injections in a 1:1 ratio.
I was giving my opinion on preventable situations but role play and having fun is a big part of why we’re here so I can see why morphine has its place
I’ve never personally ran into a problem with painkillers not being quick enough causing me to die but maybe I’m just lucky
Me neither, but I can't say I like them, since I need to take several, without them having a quick effect.
Has this been changed? Because for the last couple of campaigns only medic and above could administer epinephrine, you can take it in the arsenal, but you cant use it, only morphine
I also experienced not being able to administer Epi as non medic lately
I'll check our medical settings. Either they were changed on accident or they it was on purpose, but currently I was under the impression everyone can use it.
...as it should be, no?
I am 100% you were not able to inject epi as normal grunt but i thought it was done on purpose since you could take an epi and tank more shots, also offset the effect of morphine
This campaign non-medical personnel COULD NOT inject epi
If it was intended, then I'd probably know about it, but since I don't, this will likely change for the next campaign. That way everyone will be able to use epinephrine, like they used to back in the day.
No promises though. Perhaps someone is out there, who did intend this and will correct me, but for the time being, it doesn't look like it.
Wrong, i have epi in every kit, can't use it but it's there for the medic
You are able to. You just can’t use it unless you’re a medic. It’s been that way for at least the last two campaigns.
doesn't make much sense since its an autoinjector but yknow
I do QA for a living. If you think I haven’t read a chart where a BLS provider gave IM epi via epi pen to a code, you’re silly.
It’s happened. Sadly.
Oh god
My point being that if u can use the morphine autoinjector why not the epi
Oh gotcha gotcha.
Thank you @thorny solstice that was my whole point for this post.
On the training server I think I overheard that everyone can use epis now. So I’m hype for that.
Hi I will add my point on a few things said here. I do think only squad medics should get morphine imo. Epi should be something everyone should be able to use since like its used in everyday life.
Your opinion is bad.
Morphine bad epi good.
Morphine okay. Just don’t use it like an idiot.
ok ill budge, morphine okay. if used like a non idiot.
People demonize morphine but it is useful, just dont take 2 or more ! 😄
morphines main use that i was taught is shits fucked take as many as possible with you
as in you take it when you know for a fact
you are a bout to die
The best use for it is when you’re forced to return fire but experiencing severe pain.
It gets you back in the fight in less than 30 seconds with minimal weapon sway.
🤣 Okay been using ace since it first came out and pharm before it was out to the public but okay
Sadly you can not reply on people using it right then before you know it someone is uncon from a OD cause they did not look at their triage card
Moral of the story is don’t be a twat when using your morphine.
Yeah pretty much
Yea if you have a good medic the use of one morphine shouldnt effect anything. The only reason to use it as I saw above is when u need to return fire but are in pain. Fire superiority for the win lol
