this is my daily conifg. Pretty even all the way around but great for music and is pretty much a jack of all trades except with FPS. It does just fine there too but if you want heavier foot steps your better off editing it to suit your needs a little better. tuned up the vocals a little bit to cut through bass heavy songs just a little. uses spatial audio to add a little room and reverb for a smooth and warm sound. Tuned with my Beyerdynamic DT 990's

This config for the Nova Pro Wired is made to have better clarity in lows and highs as well as a slight bass boost. It is a profile tuned to perform well on all games and media without having to swap between dedicated profiles (set and forget). So far it has been great in most games that benefit from audio cues (footsteps/heals) in most games without sacrificing overall audio quality and immersion.

Meant to be used without spatial audio though you can experiment with it.

EFT Ambient Audio Reducer/Footstep+Gunshot booster - Arctis Pro

Tweaked my settings for Escape from Tarkov following the new SS Sonar update! Optimized mainly for hearing footsteps earlier than your opponent as well as finding direction of gunshots, although I still find it to be viable for finding direction of other audio such as searching bodies, or voice lines for example, as it is to prevent ambient noise such as wind or trees blowing in the wind (EFT has a ton of ambient noise, eliminating this can improve your performance a ton.).

EQ settings may vary based on your hardware, or hardware in-game! I use Arctic Pros and I mostly use M32 headset in game as they are the best budget headset. But if you can afford the Comtac 4 headset this is by far the best. The comtac 4s will have a noticeable difference in reducing ambient noise, and increasing footstep audio distance - Source : SheefGG 2024 video titled "Tarkov Headset COMPARISON". In this video he will show the different statistics of the headsets in game and using this data you can choose a headset that appeals to you the most.

Although the EQ settings may vary, this EQ is for reducing ambient noise and increasing things like players hitting bushes, footstep audio on wood, grass, metal, etc. This will help you gain an advantage on your opponents as audio is very important in EFT. It will also slightly boost suppressed shots, although this may vary based on the gun being fired.
-Everyone's ears are different but I encourage you to give this a try and tweak it however it works for you!

Summary : Using the Arctis Pro headset, this EQ has been optimized for Escape from Tarkov for footstep audio and gunshot audio, purely for the sake of performance in game, and it by no means is optimized for sound quality or immersion.

Artic Pro Wireless Music config
I cut 2 points in the mids with 10 Q notch filters, further cut the mids with a wide bandwidth filter, slightly boosted the low end and high end. I use this one for spotify while switching to a different profile that flattens out the frequency response of the headset for working in a DAW

I found an initial EQ tune from YouTuber GadgetryTech but I did some altering in base and low mid to fine tune it for my ears. Thanks to SteelSeries, I can hear instrumentation in songs I never knew existed. Ok so I’ve been spinning out over this! I currently have the arctic 7ps for my ps5. Great set btw. I’ve just got a Elgato 4k X so I can capture but it renders audio (in game chat) useless. Without complicated wires and/or second controller I am stumped. Was thinking hum Nova Pros with base connected to an audio extractor could work. Anyone managed this ? Is there a hdmi 2.1. Audio extractor out there that works with nova pro base station ??

Hi, I know this topic has been asked here probably million times.. I bought Arctis Nova 7P for my PS5. I play mostly GTA Online and rarely Warzone. Can you recommend best Engine EQ settings for this purpose? I am looking for presets with bit more basses as I like listening GTA Online in-game radio so the sound should not be flatted.. Alternatively, do you have any channel with pinned recommendations?

Afaik, Sonar is not an option for me so I’m limited to use Engine EQ only.

anyone know the best settings for Modern Warfare 3 for Arctic Nova Pro wired? When I use turtle beach elite pro 2 w/ mixamp tr, the sound is loud and immersive and sounds good. But on the arctic nova pro wired, the sound is like muffled or like sounds like it's like in the distance almost. hard to explain. Maybe I have a setting wrong? The sound just doesn't sound like it's "up close" in ear. Sounds distant and muffled.

I'm experiencing an issue with my SteelSeries headset. Whenever my monitor turns off and on, the audio switches to the monitor. I believe this might be caused by the SteelSeries GG application. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue or does anyone have a solution for this problem?

I started to hate SteelSeries as a brand.
Was extremely happy with the Arctis Steelseries 7.
"Upgraded" to a Steelseries 7+.

I'm having issues ever since.

Steelseries GG just won't recognize my device unless I reboot my PC.
Can't select my headset anywhere, since it won't be listed.

Having to reboot your PC again and again became annoying.

Will most likely return it...

Hi here, everything works just perfectly until suddenly it wont. for some reason my Gaming/Media/... won't work and the sound comes out from my speakers. Only when moving to "Headphones" I can hear from the headphones. Any idea?

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

Hello,

I have gone through 2 Arctis 7s over the years and I would have preferred to stay with that instead of the 7+ so what I'm trying to do should be possible with 7+. I want there to be zero noise cancellation on my mic. The reason is that I play guitar with people online -- in real time -- and I've tried every setting in Sonar and GG engine and I can't find a way to get this sort of functionality. It seems that there's no way to turn truly turn off voice activation nor fully turn off background noise suppression (even though those setting exist in the GG engine / Sonar).

Please help. Windows 10. I have adjusted settings in GG engine. Again, it was possible with 7 I did that for many many years.

The crinacle greatly reduces sounds that bother you or could harm your hearing. In R6, the sounds of gunshots and bombs end up being quite annoying to the point of making it difficult to perceive the enemy's positioning, although we know that the sound "travels" through spaces that are free. I just bought the apex pro 2023 tkl two days ago, there was a firmware update I installed yesterday. Since the firmware update in addition the breathing rgb id originally set up that is actively going, it reacts each time I press a key with another ripple effect of bright cyan.

Is this a feature or a bug? Cause I love it and want to customize it further, but don't know where or how to keep the reactive layer in over the active layer

Hey, question for anyone who might know. I have a EQ setting in my media section that I want to also have in my game section but I noticed there is no way that I can see to do this without having to start fresh and make the EQ profile from scratch again in the gaming section which I dont want to do since this EQ took pain staking time for me to get right and feel good. I'm using SteelSeries Sonar to change my audio output settings. The tabs for Chat, Media, Aux, and Microphone work perfectly. However, when I switch to the Gaming tab, I see the volume levels moving, but I don't get any sound, even though the output device is the same as in the other tabs. What can I do to fix this issue?

Details:
All other tabs (Chat, Media, Aux, Microphone) are functioning correctly.
The volume levels in the Gaming tab indicate that audio is being played.
The output device selected in the Gaming tab is the same as in the other working tabs.
No sound is heard when using the Gaming tab.
I've already tried checking the settings and making sure the correct output device is selected. Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

question: when i use my steel series nova pro, on sonar i have mixer for media set for google and for some reason today the mix amp is not working meaning if i tune it left it doesn't focus on increasing the sound and if tune it right the sound doesn't decrease. but the mix amp works perfectly fine on my game mixer. any thoughts on how to fix this?

It is possible, but I do not recommend it. The frequencies and treatment that crinacle gives for severe and acute frequencies is different.

Being very clear, Crinacle brings a much better balance mainly with shots, as they are not high when you shoot, thus removing the discomfort and aggression to the ears.

I'm working on another EQ and maybe I'll use a little bit of my time to create something in the Engine.

I havent had all of them, so couldnt say for sure haha.

Ive got the Pro Wireless atm and its amazing, used to have the Arctis 7 Wireless and it was great too. The Pro Wireless is over double the price so you would expect it to be a lot better and it is. The arctis 7 was far better value tho, just depends on how much value you place in sound quality and some extra functionality.

I got the Pro wireless as it can connect to my computer and work phone at the same time and has interchangeable batteries . These are essentially the only reasons i was willing to spend what the Pro Wireless costs.

Im not sure on the differences between the two models to be honest! always best to find a reviewer or two you like that make these comparisons and decide based on your preferences and needs!

Either way its gonna be a good listening experience im sure. Take your time and learn the Steelseries GG software a bit when you get your headphones, its frustrating at first, but once youve got it set up its great 🙂

@shy sable it could just be the auto thing messing with you? If I don't have my headset on it auto selects my realtek audio (my back motherboard audio ports) hit the settings cog ⚙️ where it shows volume sliders in sonar and change the input device to the one your using currently.

Many SteelSeries headsets come with Sidetone, which allow you to hear yourself through the headset’s mic for better clarity when talking.

If you have a “Playstation” version of a headset (such as the Arctis Nova 7P) then your headset may have a physical wheel on the headset for turning the sidetone down.

Asking to see if anyone else is having this problem. I own the nova pro 2 wireless after my artic 9s dead after 9 years. However every once and a while I get a high pitch scream in my headphones that start out sounding like a sonar ping and grows louder and more consistent. I have looked it up and asked only thing I get is that the noise canceling is missed up some how. Any idea?

YO why is it that sonar sound profiles dont show up in QuickSet? this is so dumb! before quickset was a thing, i was changing my sound profile whenever i started Tarkov, and i still am. this has to be added as a setting cause the auto switch when a game starts would help so much

Hey guys! I'd like to get some information. I previously had a G933 and used the Dolby surround mode, the sound was really great, no weird sensation or anything like that. A few days ago, I bought the Arctis 7, and as soon as I enable the surround mode, no matter the settings, I get this feeling like I'm in a hallway, it echoes, the sound is not precise at all, etc. Any solution for getting the perfect setting?

Hello guys, joined the steelseries family with Arctis Nova 5. I am looking for sonar EQ config for it as I am currently having troubles with setting it up.
I used spatial 7.1 audio for past 6 years on my logitech headsets (last one i had was G533) and i intend to continue to do so with steelseries headset.
It feels very bassy in comparison and so to speak slightly "muffled" sounding (the headset i had before was sounding quite "clear"), not sure if it's by design or needs to be set up properly in Sonar's EQ.

If you want to use the dongle, you probably should just leave bluetooth alone since that's a different form of connection.

But it sounds like you might need proper support from steelseries through a ticket.
