Ive found a Youtube guide on the Warzone settings. I played alot with the default mw2 sound settings. Need to authorize Steelseries with Discord I believe.. Go to Engine -> Apps scroll down configure discord and turn on 1st time atleast go into discord and check under authorized apps in settings.. Mine is turned off in engine bc I didn't really use it but it still say Certified unless you using Sonar, none of those outputs seem certified!

This has probably already been requested in the feature-requests channel. But I feel like it would make more sense for all of the virtual sonar channels to have just one master library that all of the profiles get saved to. That way I can easily use a config I made or imported in my "game" channel, over in my "media" or "Aux" channel. Instead of having to create the same profile again, that's already saved in another channel 🤷‍♂️

As for bass, they should be able to bump it a bit using the bass slider depending on how it was created..

I decided to dedicate the morning to testing the sonar, as I didn't realize that the APO Equalizer (which I have been using for some time) was conflicting with the Sonar. Was that bad? No. Overall I'm loving the Sonar + APO combo but it's a bit strange using two equalizers. That's why I decided to disable APO and work only with Sonar to try to get the best out of the program. I worked with 3 games, so here are the results with the presets already defined:

Unfortunately, the biggest limitation is the game itself, as many people complain about the bad sound and no difference between the lower or upper floor.
The environmental sounds are ridiculous and quite loud. The best way to use this preset is with the game's COMTAC 4 headset. Other than that, good luck, because if there is a lot of wind or rain, your steps will be completely obscured.

It's an audio plug-in that I install on my computer in conjunction with the APO Equalizer. In this case, it reduces the sounds in terms of compression but keeps them well defined. It's as if you turned down the volume, but without losing the volume.

I'll try to create a tutorial for this. I believe it is the best way.

@snow brook my guy, the limiter is like heaven to my ears lol. I have a fiio K7 amp/dac and a sennhesier hd 660s. And I've always had to play siege and any game at like 10% volume because it is just so loud. But with the limited I can hear everything and with the volume all the way up. Thank you.

Taking a look at some forums and videos, Release is the time that that sound will remain active until it returns to its normal peak. It's like a compass... imagine you say "one, two, three" in exactly 3 seconds. With a high release, you would take 6 seconds, and with a low release you would take 1 second. It was the way I found to exemplify this LOL.

yeah, the only issue ive had is that is that the audio is very low, but these settings almost completely nullify ambient noise

Because in Tarkov the audio volume option is worse if you have it on max. When you increase the volume above 60/70 it mostly increases ambient noises such as looting sounds, wind, etc. With the volume at 60 or 70 in game you hear footsteps just as you would at 100 but with a less overwhelming amount of noises

The volume is a bit low but its kind of like a pseudo effect because of the paranoia aspect of tarkov, but the second anyone makes any noise i hear it. For instance, last night i was on reserve while it was raining. I was running outside and whilst running i heard a footstep from about 30 meters away in the rain.

Go into the game and give it a go with the new settings. Make sure you only use either the engine or Sonar. Do not use both.

As for Spatial Audio, there's a way to move the speakers in the spatial audio settings. I don't play R6 so I can't help too much. Only thing I can say is to mess with it.. For my Destiny 2 footsteps config, I moved the side speakers slightly behind me and the forward surround left and right a little more down just above the sides. I also pulled the distance very close to me which enhanced the overall surround and actually made the footsteps more defined. I could hear them long before it was too late.

Maybe @snow brook wouldn't mind giving it a go, but a lot of people don't like spatial audio. I also find it hard to adjust, but I do like the spatial audio from my general config in pinned. Or did when I still used my SteelSeries headset..

I've already used it, but it's a very sensitive function. In an old Warzone 2 update, for example, it was almost a hack. Currently FOR ME it's horrible. I don't want to waste so much time on something that I can't use well. I'm simply enjoying the good results I have using the Sonar + APO combo.

You can use the sliders at the bottom of the bands to tweak it out, that's how I set it up.. So if you need more oomph in the bass area, you can push the slider a little more to the right and shouldn't give you a bit of a bass bump 🙂

There have been some changes to the game's audio apparently. I made some adjustments, but I need to test. Maybe tomorrow, but what I can see is that the sound of the speakers is a little low and the sound of the footsteps only goes to a maximum distance that has been greatly reduced (with the current Preset).

Yes, unfortunately that is it. I'll try to do something, but I can't guarantee it will work. Maybe I'll use the preset that exists in Sonar and make some modifications.

Will it be best to “up” the colors balls footsteps in sonar? Im not the best at optimizing. Any tips will be helpful

It depends largely. Anything above 8khz generates details (glass, high-pitched sounds). Sounds from 90 to 135hz are related to footsteps. Between 200 and 500hz are details that sustain the bass and above that up to around 4khz are the mids. They make a lot of difference, but they must be adjusted correctly or all work can be compromised.

I play R6 competitively (God help me) and recently picked up the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless after my Corsair Virtuosos's battery finally gave out after 2 years. I'm looking for the "best" EQ or at least a baseline I could start with to make my own. With roughly 30 mins on each preset as well as switching back and forth do any R6 players here suggest one R6 EQ over the other, or have an EQ they feel is better? So far I like the "Rainbow Six Siege by Ubisoft" preset a bit more than the "Rainbow Six Siege" preset, audio from further away seems a bit more distinct. Any help is appreciated.

Probably the next game I will try to create something will be Fortnite.

Some information:
-There is no ETA. I'll simply share when I create something decent for the game.
-The preset will be created ONLY for Sonar. I have no intention of creating for Engine. At least not now.
-The preset will be created in two ways: using only Sonar and using Sonar + Equalizer APO for audio limiting (reducing the peaks of loud/harmful sounds);

I am new to the Steelseries family. Just brought home a pair of the Nova Pro Wireless for PC/Xbox. I cannot for the life of me tune the custom EQ for Cyberpunk 2077 on the Series X using the DAC base station. I see Sonar has a preset for it, however, I can't use it since I am playing on the Xbox. Hey Lennart! Thank you for the reply. I believe I have my transmitter/headset updated. I do see a handful of available presets on the transmitter itself, just not one for Cyberpunk 2077. I only have access to 18 out of the list I am showing in the dropdown box on Sonar. Since it doesn't appear to be an option right now, I was hoping to find a config for that specific game, that way I could manually input the values on the receiver.

May I ask what it is that you did to tune that configuration the way you did. I think you mentioned that this configuration works best for a headset and in my situation I’m using a sound bar through optical digital. Honestly, I pull each slider all the way up and all the way down depending on the band and then tweak it out to what sounds best. There's a voice range, kinda mid to mid-high range.. I'm not sure if I'm explaining that correctly, my ears just hear specific frequencies..

Have you used the sliders on my config? It's made to use the sliders to tweak out the high's, mid's, and low's.. Yank them lows up a bit, it can kick the bass pretty hard 😉

Under the bands there's 3 sliders for low, mid, and high.. You slide it right, it pulls the overall lows up.. You slide it left, it pulls the overall lows down.. You can do this with any config, a lot of times it's the best way to tweak it out without messing with the frequency bands

Spatial audio enhances what is already built into the headphones, which is the sound stage. If a headphone has a wide sound stage, you'll get the surround to some extent. The SteelSeries headsets already has that built into the headset, so you'll hear some of it without spatial audio active. GG uses software to enhance the sound stage to maximize the way you hear the audio in surround.

So regardless with spatial on or not, you'll still get some degree of 360 surround 🙂

I use the beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro as my main, it is not a surround headphone but has a wide sound stage and I can definitely hear when someone walks up behind me or the side of me with that headphone. (Still have Arctis 7+ on the side)

Spatial settings have drastically changed since Sonar Beta, when I used my headset as my main, I was able to tweak out my profiles in spatial and it sounded much better. But not everyone likes what spatial does, because it does add a lot more in the mid range than I feel it should which can be a challenge to get things to sound just right with it turned on..

Does anyone has a solid sonar setting for iRacing? I just got the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, had the acrtis 7p prior and loved it. I just can NOT get the sound dialed in with the new headset as the prior setting I was using does not sound right. Have you tried tweaking out the gain settings or any settings for that matter.. I also don't use the Steelseries headset anymore, my ears are trained differently than when I created configs 😉

i was just lookin to see if anyone had anything better for just music, i was messing with the gain and some of the upper mids but couldnt get it to compare good enough to what i have already unfortunately lol, i meaan what i have now sounds great, but bass gets alittle muddy when everythings at 100%

Try pulling the bass slider down to match the highest peak on the treble side.. And turn off Smart Volume completely.. If you get any "mud" sound you may need to drag the second node slightly to the left.. The "mud" typically is your mid-low going into low frequencies @uneven stone

Well, start by using the Preset I shared for Sonar. In the game, use BINAURAL AUDIO. In W1 Limiter the settings I use are 60ms, output 1.2~1.5 and in Ceiling (right bar) it is something between -4.5 to -6db
