oh hm, try unplugging and plugging back in the headphones while in that screen, if that doesn't work \maybe you just need to reinstall SteelSeries GG by going into settings (for windows) -> "apps" -> Apps & Features (or just searching "uninstall" and clicking on the top selection) and uninstalling Steelseries GG From that window and getting it again from this website https://steelseries.com/gg. it'd be weird that steelseries engine is glitched from the start but it could be possible.

If you install SteelSeries GG and go to this directory "C:\Program Files\SteelSeries\GG\firmware" it'll list ALL steelseries product firmwares from discontinued to current, maybe even unreleased ones. this does not include products that don't run off of a firmware, which includes arctis 1's, so it's not perfect, but there are a TON of devices in there from what I've looked into

For me I just plugged mine in and updated the firmware with no bugs or bricks. It should be good. If you want to be extra safe you could reinstall gg to update everything about it including firmware files locally stored, but that’s up to you (actually it really doesn’t sound like a bad idea )

hello I have a problem with the rival 650 mouse for some time now it is blinking red and it is not a problem with the battery, but rather with the firmware. when I connect the mouse with a cable, it doesnt detect it in the steelseries engine and I cant update it, when I connect the dongle, it detects it, but when I try to update it, it writes that it was successful, but the same notification pops up as before, I already did everything update reinstall steelseries engine uninstalling drivers, I held down dpi and left and right buttons always ended up the same I also wrote a support ticket but I need to do it as soon as possible and the support will answer me within 2 days

Going off of the user manual, and presuming your referring to the wireless version. As long as everything’s connected together properly things should work out for you the wireless headset can be wirelessly connected to the transmitter, and everything will work out

My guess is a combination of random bugs that can happen in the middle of it, mixed in with gg bugs and possibly corrupted firmware files. That’s actually why I suggested a reinstall of gg just to be safe

Have it listed in GG Engine. Even can use it connected with a cable. Also can't delete it permanently from the device manager - it reappears after restart or re-scan of the devices. Brand new $3000 alienware computer. Tried multiple ports just in case, and if i mess with settings enough i can usually get it resolved but i shouldnt have to mess with audio settings for 30 mins-1 hour ever time i get on to game

My steelseries sonar is very glitchy. Before i got it, whenever i booted up my pc everything would load as usual, no lag, no nothing. But as soon as I got sonar, everything started to go wild. I have to wait at least 4 minutes for everything to stop glitching out before i can use my computer as usual. At first, when I load up my pc, nothing really happens. Then like a minute later, all of my audio devices disappear, and every application that uses audio immediately crashes as soon as i load it, even if i loaded it beforehand. This lasts like 2 minutes before everything goes back to normal. Are there any fixes?

@blissful mountain if you're trying to turn off sidetone (being able to hear yourself through your mic) on the 7P+ there should be a knob on the back of one of the earcups that controls the level of sidetone. Turn the knob all the way down until you can't hear yourself anymore

pain, ive tried everything to get my mic on new arctis nova pro wired to work

tried all the troubleshooting steps on website, reinstall myself & reinstall using your directions of both steelseries GG and device drivers and updating windows/restarting, repositioning mic, making sure mic level is 100, ensuring proper sound settings/defaults, double checking drivers are updated, double checking software is up to date, upgrading the "critical firmware updatae" available in the steelseries app, using the other usb cable included in the box, trying both cables in each usb slot and using different usb slots on my pc, using one my own usb a to c cables, using one of my own usb c to c cables, and such. I did notice when I was going through the troubleshooting, that it mentioned when hitting the headphone's mute/unmute button that it should have said something on the dac, but it has not in my experience, unsure if this was aimed at the wireless model

Alright, found a fix for that one:

• Uninstall and reinstall GG
  -After that, go into Device manager, Human interfaces and press properties on keyboard driver (if there are 2 or more drivers for the keyboard press on them as well)
• Go into Driver section. then press Uninstall Device and make sure you CHECK THE MARK at the unnistall window.
• Unplug your keyboard and restart the PC while the keyboard is still unplugged.
• Once you restart your PC, plug your keyboard into DIFFERENT USB ports.

Sounds like a dead LED if it's not obeying your color settings. You can try resetting the keyboard just to see if that fixes it but your best bet is probably making a ticket through #official-support and seeing if you can get an RMA for a replacement keyboard if it's still within the warranty period

Hey people 👋 I have an apex 5 hybrid with which I'm having some problems. Essentially it turned on briefly when I plugged it in today (haven't used it in a while) and then died. No LEDs, no OLED, nothing. Now, I would be inclined to think it was dead - however, I've had this happen before. I benched it at the time and went with my backup kb for a few weeks. Moved house and tried it on a whim and surprisingly, it worked without a hitch. Fast forward a few months to the present. I've been using a different keyboard for a while and went to switch back, finding once again that it doesn't work at all. Any ideas what the issue might be?

Now that i have reinstalled windows Steel Seriesapp do see my keyboard as conected device, but backlight does not work regardless of the selected mode. Also the keys don't light up when FN button pressed.

I'm trying to figure this out. Can you not have the left mouse button bound to more than just that button? I want to set it up so when I press a button on my mouse, it toggles on auto clicking every "x" ms. However, whether I do it the simple way or make a simple macro to just click, it never works. Ever since I got the Prime+ mouse, it just sometimes (not always) doesnt register a part of my mousepad. It can be used on any surface when its in the phase of not registering a part of my mousepad. Now this "part" can sometimes just be the bottom right corner of my mousepad, but it can also be the whole thing. And after some time, it just fixes itself. Goooood morning. I have the new 7+ giving me some issues....

I charged it fully the 1st day then connected to my PC via the cords, not Bluetooth. Seems to work fine. Then I connect it via the Bluetooth cord. I can only hear out of 1 ear.

In the other ear (with the sound) is a buzzing sound. It seems like it sounds but very very low. Even at MAX volume it's not even a whisper. Now I'm still doing testing on it. Now I do have a streaming/gaming setup(gear list on my twitch bio) Maybe my GO XLR is messing something up?

I have tried the Bluetooth cord in all of the front USBs, I tried to make the quality lower than 48k Hz, made the 7+ my default sound and you tube.

UPDATE: I'm still trying to figure it all out, I tested on my i7 gaming laptop with the app. It all works even with the Bluetooth cord. Mic didn't work. I am sure I just do something in settings. So my one ear very low with buzzing could be a USB port, need another ground loop or GO XLR.

look at the numbers at the bottom and the curve - and try to somewhat mimic that into your local EQ on the headset

100-200 is the usual range of footsteps, so put those a little higher than the rest and you should be able to hear clear footsteps

thats the preset you'd find on sonar - so it should be great if you just copy it, no?
