You might wanna reinstall gg depending on what cpu you have. If it's really low end then that's expected but it shouldn't be that much if it's a modern cpu

this is the 4th or 5th person I've seen complain about this to me there seems to somehow be an issue with Nvidia's clipping methods or with sonar, and sadly I don't know of a fix for it and neither have I seen someone say a fix for it

Because if it shows this, then that means there is no game detected and that'd be "problematic" (not actually problematic, you can manually select it, but it takes a bit)

The small screen on my Arctis Nova Pro's GameDAC says 48kHz, but the audio resolution is advertised as 96kHz...is there a setting I have to change, or is it merely situational?

this is what upsets me as they removed hi res mode on the dac going from 1.0 to 2.0 (this one) so you have to do it manually
Go into control panel -> Hardware and sound -> sound. Right click on Arctis Nova Pro and click on properties. (Screenshot 1) Then go to advanced, click on the box that shows an audio quality thing and select the highest audio quality option in the drop down box that appears (should be the bottom one, as shown in screenshot 2)

Do note by the way. if you use sonar it'd be different and also in fact locked (sadly) and you'd need to use the audio quality sonar provides you with

From what I can tell I have all the audio settings correctly set up for Sonar to work on my Arctis 9x on my laptop, but whenever sonar is on I get zero audio to the headset despite it reading that it's playing audio. I have read every page in the FAQ, tried everything that and reddit have suggested, and have factory reset my headset and have a fresh download of GG to no avail

ive never had that issue but sometimes you need to press the volume button on the bottom right corner and select the steelseries arctics 1. if its not there i guess you can send it back or maby someone else has a better solution than i do.

bottom right corner and press on the volume button, there is multiple options for volume output and just select the steelseries sonar - gaming. if that dosn't work you may have not added in the headset type on the playback spot under the text where it says game, in the sonar start menu.

Thought I would share might not be new and has been addressed already but I found a fix to the Sonar not letting you select the appropriate audio device when trying to use the feature. So to fix this you must go on your MOBO website and update the Realtek driver this might be a rookie Pc move but I always thought windows would automatically take care of that but they don’t hopfully this will work for whoever had the same issue as me

Hi! I was wondering if anyone could help resolve my problem. I only just recently started using my arctis headset again after using it for my playstation 4, and now, when plugging in my headset to my pc the audio works just fine. However, when adjusting my lighting features in the Steel Series GG 20.0.0 Software a prompt comes up underneath the arctis headset tab that says "reconnect keyboard". When doing so, unplugging and replugging the usb cable, the same prompt comes up, not allowing me to adjust the lighting.

Idk if anyone has any tips but i built my pc back in november and its been perfectly fine up until about a few weeks ago. I bough 2 more sticks of ram and an ssd, installed them just fine and everything was working ok, then i started moving files over to the ssd (yes i know now that wasnt a good idea) and most likely deleted a file i shouldnt have, this caused my pc to crash with a blue screen. I decided to factory reset, which fixed the blue screen problem but then all my games would crash after about 30 minutes to an hour. Decided to reinstall windows to see if that helped, nope. I have a set of, fairly basic, PC speakers connected to the GameDAC for my Novas. Everything was working fine until recently. Now for some reason, the audio is playing through my speakers and my headphones at the same time. I would prefer the audio to play through my heaphones when they are powered on and the speakers when the Novas are powered off. Anyone have a fix for this by chance?

Any help on why my Arctis Pro Wireless's chat output doesn't work anymore? I select it on discord Sonar - Chat and nothing plays it only functions with the Gaming output. It doesn't work if I disable Sonar either.

Happens whether or not it's even connected to anything either way side tone is disabled.

It's like a bad version of sidetone that sounds more like a droning or buzzing regardless if my headsets connected to anything

Think I actually figured it out, turned off ANC in the GameDAC itself and it's fixed, guess it saved its settings whether or not the device was connected to anything. My guess is that it was attempting to noise cancel out my own voice and bugging out

Hello, for some reason, sonar is not picking up my microphone, only when I am in a voice chat on discord. No other app is picking up the microphone input and no one can hear me. It works if I am in a voice chat on discord, but I am not willing to sit in a VC for hours just to make it work.

So I looked up every option to fix the sidetone issue I'm having with my SteelSeries Arctis 7 Headset. I can not figure out the issue or fix it. I have two of the same mics as well and tried them both and still had problems. It uses the same audio drivers as your computer. it doesn't have its own like the nova pro's, arctis 5's and 7's, etc

it’s constantly switching between sonar, even though I turned it off, and doesn’t work

it’s even showing that audio is playing but I don’t hear anything

my laptop isn’t muted and the headphone volume is all the way up

I am very frustrated at this because these were supposed to be very reliable headphones and they don't work at all.

Hello yall, hope your having a good day, for these few months I've had SteelSeries artic 1, not going to lie, not really a good experience with these headphones the right side broke and tried to figure out any solutions for it, nothing so i bought an adapter, works now the right side, and also apparently the headset microphone, whenever i plug it in, there's just static, i have the mic not muted, have tried everything from the SteelSeries help website and other 3rd party websites, nothing.

Has anyone had this experience with specifically with the SteelSeries artic 1 wired headset or any other headset, and if you have fixed it or have a solution, please tell me, i really want to get the best and happiest experience for these headphones and love them, but i really cant, the only best experience I've ever had with SteelSeries products is the rival 3 mouse, and i love it, but i would really like to figure out a solution... Thanks.

So I just bought the new artic nova pros because I wanted a good 3D spatial surrounding sound Headset but I cant get it to work I have tried so much and nothing is working. I have tried turning on the windows sonic for headphones in my control panel thing but it won't let me switch it, it just keep turning back off. afaik and from my experience, instead of using other spatial audio stuff with the nova pro's steelseries is boasting their own spatial audio in sonar right here (screenshot)As you can tell I don't use it as I don't need it but from my testing it's actually pretty good when configured to your liking

The arctis 1's are completely analog with probably no firmware even at all (well if any, basic firmware) so there is no factory reset. it could really be a hardware issue like an internal breaking somehow. If in control panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Sound, the right outputs say they are detecting audio whether inputs or outs, but it doesn't turn out that way on your headset, whether it's static, or silent, then it is most likely a hardware issue I presume you use windows, but you could not

Oh well actually if you contact support all they'll do is, from my knowledge, redirect you to walmart and their return and repair policy as you got those from a third party seller. You may be able to just walk in and get a new pair same day, but if things need to be shipped it could take a week or two, maybe more or less depending on your location

That I'm not sure about. It could be any walmart will accept it and replace it, or they may throw you under the bus and require you to ship it to "walmart" and when they receive it then they will issue you a replacement. I'm pretty sure you can go into any walmart though and ask for a replacement under waranty.

Well steelseries' warranty says a year after the product was bought (or 2 years in the eu) but walmart's may be different. you can still make a ticket here https://support.steelseries.com/ if you want and discuss it with steelseries, but if you don't feel like it then you could just take a drive to walmart and ask in store, bringing the receipt with you if you have it (Or any other proof of purchase, if they require it)
