Aero 5 wireless... when the PC goes to sleep, I have to toggle the mouse off and on, from the bottom, to get it to connect again. (It lights up again after the PC wakes up, but doesn't work). Anyone else have that issue?

i'l say for the nova if you bypass sonar and pick native nova through windows it supports 24 bit for audio vs 16 bit limited sonar virtual so for applications like Tidal or Spotify i'd recommend setting through windows the default app sound device as the basic nova pro wireless (headphones) not sonar, unless any steelseries rep can tell me otherwise

Well- afaik you need to wait til the next update BUT there may be a temporary fix by reinstalling but I cannot guarantee the effectiveness of it and you most likely will lose all your configs and stuff unless you keep those things synced to the cloud (which you should)

Plus reinstalling has given a very very limited amount of users success. I mean I’ve only seen one guy say it worked and a few other say just sitting on that screen fixed it

I have the artic Pros and I'm having trouble getting the mic to work. I have audio through head set but the mic wont work its not muted I have the right input and output microphone and audio settings selected. The weird thing is if I unplug it from USB and wire it from my Ps4 controller then to my PC it works but I have to go through my Ps4 remote control to my PC and I want it to work with the USB my buddy has this same headset and the same PC and his work I just got these headphones today and spent hours on tech support with windows for no resolve. you can set an eq in steelseries sonar (or some other software) to tune it more to your liking. it's possible that the sound from your onboard audio isn't the greatest by itself so this should be the easiest fix. you probably want to slightly increase the volume between 1khz and 8khz

I went over to my friends house that has the same headphones and we plugged them into his computer and they didn't work ether but they work when he plugs his in but if you use his GameDAC cord he has with my headphones they work fine. so basically I paid all this money for headphones that don't work. biggest waist of money I've ever spent. They basically don't have a customer support and if you have any product of there's I would return them now because if you ever need help fixing the issue they will be no help. The driver would be Engine/GG but it only supports USB audio

With analogue headsets that use minijack you need the driver for the audio device that you're plugging the headset into

Hello everybody. I bought the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. I don't understand how to load EQ profiles on headphones via sonar and then view them while using the console.
Through Sonar I set profiles for Destiny 2. But once I move to PlayStation5 in the Dac menu I don't find that equalization, but always and only those stored in default.

I really need some help here, I have been trying to fix this for hours now, tried just about everything I can think off as far as Control Panel / Audio Manager / even reinstalled my mobos realtek drivers... I decided to start using my Arctis 7s wired instead of wireless with the dongle and I have a Y-Splitter and all, but the Microphone WILL NOT work
I have it set so that all apps have permission, It is the default device, etc
I am listening to the device as well to see if anything I do actually works but it wont

Yes, feel free to PM me for more explanation, but you have to download steel series GG sonar software, update the headset, then play around with the noise gate under microphone settings as well as other settings to mitigate the issue. Microphone seems to be sensitive. But it works fine for me now

Got the nova pro wireless today. Out of the box using sonar the microphone is steadily slightly above -30db in the mixer in a practically silent room. My old pro wireless sits at around -50 at the same conditions. Is this suppose to be the case because of the new microphone design? Need to know if this is a hardware issue or software.

Hi, just purchased a Arctis 7 +. Set up with SteelSeries GG - went through the Sonar process. Weird thing happens, when I ChatMix and turn the dial to Game, it doesn't mute (I can still hear the Chat sounds) but when I ChatMix the other way it works (Dial to Chat, Game sound mutes). Closed Engine software, based station is hooked up, pulled off magnetic cover on left ear, connected USB-A to computer and USB-C to left ear, started Engine and the device showed up in the engine menu with a message for critical update, clicked on the update and completed firmware update

A few days ago I bought a SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC, and I'm struggling with the settings for games, I just can't adjust the sound in games, the sound in music suits me completely, but in the game (Apex legends) the sound seems to be far away, you can say like a bucket effect.
I tried to set the ready-made settings in sonar, specifically for apex, everything suits, except for this sound, like from afar. I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how to fix it.
Maybe someone plays apex legends and can tell me their settings?

I’m really not sure what’s wrong with your headphones. That’d sadly have to be ticket question I think. You could try checking in control panel -> hardware and sound -> sound. right click on your current audio out -> advanced. Then make sure your format is set to the highest quality possible

Hey guys and gals. I picked up the new Nova wireless. Everything is great until I try to use Sonar... Once enabled I get a hissing popping buzzing sound unless I turn the headset to 50% volume. Any ideas how to fix this?

Try maybe unplugging the base station, turning the headphones off and taking the battery out for a bit, like at least 20 to 30 seconds, turning off your computer. Then turning on the computer, basestation on, battery back in then headphones, headphones back on and maybe that’ll just magically fix it? I mean after all steelseries’ support slogan is “have you tried turning it off and on”

For me personally, I don’t own nova’s but I don’t have any issues in regards to that with sonar but I am clueless as to why it’s happening. I hope maybe some fix comes out of that or someone gives you a helping hand

I just got my Nova Pro wired and have hooked it up to my Xbox Series X and laptop. I've been messing around with the settings in Sonar and have a sound profile that I like but when I switch the USB input back to Xbox on my Gamedac it reverts back to the 16bit sound which sounds terrible and I can't get any sound on my Xbox when I have the USB input set to USB. Is there a setting on Sonar or the Gamedac to fix this? There really isn't too much information in the included product information guide other than go to GG and download Sonar. I feel like I must be missing something because without Sonar the sound quality is basically stereo.

Yes! It did. Had to hold power and bluetooth to put the headset into pairing mode. Also had to take the battery out put in back in before it let me do that. Thanks!

I don’t understand this too much. Are you saying it works fine and sounds good without sonar but with it some things glitch out when switching to your Xbox input?

No so when the USB input on the Gamedac is set to USB I get sound on my laptop, the sound quality on the Gamedac goes to 24 bit, and I can hear the spatial audio that the headset was advertised to have and it sounds absolutely amazing. But when I switch the input back to Xbox I lose that surround sound and the Gamedac goes back to 16bit audio quality.

Could you maybe take a look at this and see if selecting something in your Xbox settings help? Maybe the transmitter itself isn’t capable of choosing the audio quality like pc can. You may need to just switch some things around in here

Before this I'd been using an Astro mixamp and when I changed settings on the Astro command center software there was an option to sync to Xbox. I'm wondering if it's the same thing here but I don't see an option like that.

It isn't that, I've played around with all those settings already. I think either its something on Sonar or it's just not possible to get surround sound with just the Gamedac which would be pretty dumb.

Try plugging something in to your headphone’s aux input if it has one (on the headset itself). Check if it still sounds bad. If it does then you should contact steelseries with this information and ask if you could get a new pair after sending in these (presumably) defective ones

Hmmmm wellll, sonar should sadly lock you out of 24 bit because of hardware limitations from what I’ve heard, but if it doesn’t then goodie, but I’m really not sure why this specific issue is arising you can make a ticket with steelseries and hope they got a fix for this, I’m more than sure it’ll eventually get fixed by the end of a ticket at least

Hello. I just bought Artcis 3. When I connect the combo jack to the phone, the microphone and headphones work properly. How I connected through the connector 1 = 2 Jack. Suddenly I hear my voice (listening) in real time. I have all system options related to auditioning turned off. I hooked up at the front and back and the same problem all the time. That’s a steelseries engine problem sadly. It’s been happening to a lot of arctis pro users on the most recent update and I’ve seen mods confirm that it’s not just a you problem at least. (Oh and ofc this will be fixed soon ;) ~~I hope ~~)

As far as I’ve heard you twist the cushion or something and it unclips it as apparently it’s magnetic? maybe?

This is the best place to set up your transmitter’s sound settings because it has a mixer type audio setup.
You’ll want gaming to be the default device, then chat to be the default communication device

The reason I say this btw is because you can’t set it up like how it’s supposed to from the actual settings app

hello! im having an issue with the steelseries gg software where when i try to configure my arctis pro headset, there is no picture of the headset or any settings like eq or sidetone for me to change. the headset still works but it sucks that i dont have any of the functionality for those type of settings. the engine works fine with my mousepad and my keyboard but for some reason even after multiple reboots, uninstalls and reinstalls, driver updates and all that my headset still cannot be configured in the steelseries software. does anyone have any solutions to this?

Sonar Gaming for all general system sounds (basically keep the one selected just like your picture). Then in discord you use Sonar - Chat as your audio output.

Then you'll be able to mix both

Chat is where applications like discord and other voice communications software route their audio through, while games etc run their audio through game. this allows you to slide the "chatmix" slider at the bottom and adjust the balance between the two so when you are playing and chatting with friends you can make sure you can effectively hear both,

nah its fine. But for anyone else I´m trying to explain it as good as I can. So I ran a setup with my GoXLR Mini with my XLR Microphone on it. This is what I use as my audio interface. Yesterday I purchased my Steelseries Nova Pro whatever. A very nice Headset. I want to use the sonar thing as follows: I want to use the EQ so I can change it depending on the game I play. You can actually choose your playback/input in the "Mixer" in sonar. I change it to my GOXLR Interface. Works great! But with the next restart of my PC (or the app for that matter) it changes my default windows audio settings from my goxlr thing to the Headset.
