hi, i just bought the artic pro wireless. The problem is: my friend on discord say that my voice is very low but in windows setting and also discord, my mic is set to 100. i tried set the db to 3 in the equalizer in GG but they say, the quality is shiet but they can hear me still one of my friend tought i was speaking on mobile phone xD. is there anyway to higher the volume of the mic without loosing quality?

OK off the wall question.. Dunno if anyone knows but.. I'm using SS Sonar for main audio and a USB condenser mic also running through Sonar, so one audio device is Sonar Gaming for output, and the other is Sonar Microphone for input. I'm trying to have a separate audio source for let's say, Spotify using a virtual audio cable. And then routing that through a different channel in OBS Studio. For what I need it to do, it technically works but I have no way to monitor the music without OBS picking it up on the Sonar Gaming output on the main channel in OBS Studio. Anyone know a work around?

No, virtual audio cable.. Essentially the same thing Sonar does, but is a separate plugin where you can route programs to that output to use as a separate channel in programs like OBS Studio

You're using a bluetooth dongle with a wireless headset.. Does not use internet for that, so if your internet is causing some issues then you have a super weird issue lol

OH.. Here's an important thing to try.. Your bluetooth dongle.. Try switching to another USB port, 2.0 to 3.0 or vice versa

Honestly sounds like a USB port issue, like it's not in the correct port type.. (2.0/3.0) Not sure which one is used on your dongle for the Arctis 9x

Still sounds like a bluetooth issue from your hardware.. I wonder if the XBox wireless dongle works with it..? Since the 9x is also made for xbox.. I find the XBWireless dongle to be very efficient, not sure if you have that on your PC or not for wireless controllers

And no idea if it actually would work with it, I'm only assuming as a possible option to try if you have one available

The other thing, I'm assuming the bluetooth device you are using is built in to your PC.. It may not be able to handle the signals from the headset.. But I can't tell you for sure since I don't know your hardware

One of the biggest complaints I see online is the issue you are having, but on consoles.. And sometimes also on PC.. I think the flaw in this headset is relying on your hardware bluetooth instead of its own dongle.. I believe the 7x is like the 9x in that it can also connect to xbox (if that is a need) and I believe it has its own dongle

In all honesty, if you don't need it for console I'd run with the Arctis 7 or the 7+.. Exceptional sound quality and has its own dongle. Bypasses any issues with hardware related bluetooth devices.. I had my Arctis 7 for around 6 years, worked perfect and sounded great. The 7+ has a USB-C dongle, but can be used with a wire it comes with for USB-A if you'd like that better. 7+ uses SteelSeeries Sonar which gives you a lot more control in the audio EQ than other headsets. I'd actually recommend if you are able to swap to the 7 or 7+, it might be a better option for you. But again, I'm not sure if you also need it to connect to xbox, if that's the cast the 7x seems to be the best fit, but I don't have experience with that specific headset

It really seems like a bluetooth hardware compatibility issue, which is why I made those suggestions

Yeah but.. Why condemn a wireless headset if it's your own hardware at fault.. After getting the Arctis 7, I will never buy wired again.. It uses its own dongle, its own hardware and works perfectly. Has excellent range, outstanding battery life. Believe me, it's not the experience you are talking about with the 9x

But good luck to whichever one you get, the Arctis 3's are bad, although they don't work as well with the new SteelSeries Sonar software.. The default engine still works good

It is.. But the original Arctis 7 had a round thingy attached to a wire instead lol If you have USB-C it's wide, but.. Most USB-C ports are single and alone so should work fine

I actually use the charge cable plugged into my keyboard by my chair, but I do have an odd setup already.. The PC is around 10 feet from me, and my keyboard/mouse is mounted to my game chair.. So the usb port on the keyboard charges the headset which is attached to a headset holder underneath the keyboard lol

@tacit niche There is a pinhole under the ear cushion (non-mic side) that has a reset button. Use something like a paperclip to press down into it to reset the 9X.

@clever pawn before u go anything go to taskmanager see if its not in auto restart ur pc and start steelseries with admin/ conect ur gaming to gaming and then chat to chat and it should be fixed if not just stick with the normal way without sonar cuz its still in early access sadly enough try to take either sonar off inactive and restart pc and then turn them back on it worked for me and i have none problems what so ever so far

there's an option to turn it off in the game dac menu, but it seems to only turn off sounds in wireless mode, not bluetooth

so it'll still beep at max volume on bluetooth whenever the volume is at max, or whenever you start playback on a video / song

this happens to me off and on as well. haven't figured out the cause yet, but it can be quite annoying when you're not sure whether the headset died, or it just randomly disconnected. i always end up having to power off my headset and powering back on in order to reconnect.

Mine doesn't disconnect and stay disconnected. It will disconnect/reconnect leaving about 2-5 seconds of no audio and repeats this process about every 30 - 60 seconds

oh interesting. mine will often disconnect and either stay disconnected, or will reconnect after around 10 - 20 seconds, so usually i just power off to save time either way. this happens maybe once or twice a week for me though, so not nearly as often.

having a boomer moment: setup sonar for my new 7+ in windows 10, everything in the app looks good, but i get no audio out of the "game" channel.

• Windows' default device is the Sonar Gaming virtual device
• I've bound foobar2000 directly to the Gaming device -- no sound
• I've then bound foobar2000 directly to the Chat device -- sound!
• I've then bound foobar2000 directly to the Arctis 7+ device, skipping Sonar -- sound!
• back to the Gaming device, no sound
• the Playback option is correctly set to Arctis 7+ inside Sonar
• if I change the output devices to my wired headphones, I get the same behaviour -- "Gaming" goes to nowhere, "Chat" gets routed correctly

the chatmix dial is positioned properly; if i swivel it while foobar's bound to chat, i can hear it increasing and decreasing in volume

any tips to get the gaming device to work?

Sonar is obviously seeing audio arrive at the Gaming channel, it's just not routing it to any outputs 😦

There is like two different devices in the same headset. (Game and chat)

So I have the arctis 5 and basically what i had to do was to go in to discords sound settings and set the out put to the "arctis 5 chat" and set the windows sound to "arctis 5 game". If you want I can send screenshots when i get home.

The MSI keyboard thing can be kind of weird sometimes. I think a few updates back in GG they had broke MSI compatibility completely but I believe that's fixed now. Regardless, you'll need to download the SteelSeries software listed on the support and driver page of your specific MSI laptop for it to work

Do your headphones have multiple outputs that you will still hear in your headphones that you can change to so your tms don't hear?

I have the same problem, just with a different key, and color. But it's because of a broken RGB light. It's either the R = Red, G = Green, B = Blue lights that are broken on that key. There's pretty much nothing you can do about it.

Edit: I think it's the blue light that is broken on that switch, since red + blue would be purple if you think about it like that.
Try to change your "F10" key to blue only, and see if it has any color at all.
If it doesn't, then there's your answer. Your blue light on that key is broken.

those selectors are to choose where the virtual audio devices (sonar game/chat) will be played from. so you would choose arctis game for game, and arctis chat for chat

hey all, hopefully someone can provide me with some advice.

I received the Aerox 9 today, got it connected to the pc using the USB cable > wifi connector. How ever the mouse keeps randomly resetting itself (flashing white).

Steps taken:

• reinstalled the steelseries GG software
• manually removed mouse drivers and reinstalled them
• restarted the pc

None seem to help. Issue also seems to happen when I am using mouse without borders to swap between personal desktop and work laptop.
