Has anyone else been experiencing issues related to system stats monitor? I currently have it running on both apex pro and arctis pro hub. I have been experiencing a large memory leak with it (Sometimes taking up to 8gb-10gb) And hanging with the application (Constant app crashes). The memory leak seems to affect the performance of my pc to the point of eventually hanging my pc. I'm getting loaded with tons of errors in my event viewer related to this aswell and cannot seem to find a fix for it anywhere on the web. Only fix seems to be to not use it but the main reason why I bought the Apex Pro with the LED screen and the headset was for the PC monitor without having to build my own with a Ras-Pi. Anyone else have any input on this?

So I was wondering if anyone has been having this issue happen. I have the Steel Series Arctis Pro Wireless, with the 16.1.0 update. I'm using it on a PC with Windows 10. I've used this type headset for over a year with no issues, except the left ear cup broke off. So I got a new one, which I've been using for about 6 months now. Again, no issues, until now. The head set randomly disconnects and reconnects to the receiver. This happened earlier tonight, so I changed the battery and that solved it for a while. Now I'm on call with someone and it's doing it again. It'll disconnect, then if I turn it off and back on it reconnects only to disconnect again. There's a thing that shows up on the OLED with a game controller on one end and some kinda slider. What's happening?

I got an Arctis Pro Wireless, and judging from the quality when using Sidetone, the mic quality is stunning; but whenever I use it on let's say Windows, the microphone quality instantly drops to hot garbage; yes, I've tried the common fixes like setting the mic quality to 48,000 Hz, but it still falls really short of the sidetone mic. It´s not about that its not available in Poland but that Steelseries doesnt have the keyboard in stock right now. When they´ve got new ones then you can be notified if you enter your email in the little spot there

Try turning up the audio going into the transmitter. You can adjust the sound down on the box to the headset

Your audio might be so low that it triggers the auto off

I dont know anything about that product - but I would say yes thats too low and probably whats causing your auto cut off to kick in, reverse it, - up the windows volume and lower the headset volume

Yeah, I would say that's low. With this headset I'd suggest to keep the Windows volume at 80 and lower it on the transmitter/headset as needed

Got a Aerox 3 wireless mouse, and it worked like one hour after unboxing ( the engine asked for some firmware update when i installed it which apparently worked fine ). At some point the mouse just died without any yellow light warning of low battery ( or at least i didnt noticed ). If i connect it with the cable it works fine, but the moment i unplug it it flashes once or twice white then dies again, so i guess it just doesnt charge at all. Any suggestions?

and use a paperclip in the tiny hole.

and it should prompt you to install firmware update again

By take the earcup off i mean remove the fabric / pad covering the left side.

This is a pretty small problem. When ever I turn on my pc my rival 3 either has no RGB illumination or it is stuck on one color. The only way i can fix this is by opening the steelseries software. Personal preference. There probably won't be another keyboard launch anytime soon since their current lineup is pretty solid. If you have the cash to spend on an Apex Pro and want the Omnipoint switches with adjustable actuation, then go for it. If you want another switch type like Blue or Brown or just don't care about the adjustable actuation for the keys then save some money and go with the Apex 7 if you want a good all around keyboard

Yeah if you're already using a red linear switch with an Apex 7 then it really isn't worth it imo to blow $200 just for adjustable aquation. Plus the Omnipoint switch is linear only so if you wanted something more clicky like a blue or brown then you're out of luck

Yes, the Arctis 5 works with SteelSeries Engine.

All of the digital USB headsets (5, Pro, 7, 7+, 9, APW) work with the engine. The analog 3.5mm headsets (1, 3, Prime) don't work with the Engine because the 3.5mm jack on a PC can't carry a data signal which the software needs to communicate with the headset.

I am having a major issue with Sonar in which my Arctis 7+ has no microphone audio unless I have the windows sound settings panel open, if the arctis 7+ by itself is selected there are no issues, only when the mic is set to sonar.

hello question in just the last few days my arctis pro wireless sound has started cutting in and out, I always had the option to select "arctis pro chat" or "arctis pro game" for my default sound on my computer, but now arctis pro game does not play any sound thru my headset even tho my computer mix says sound is playing, I had switched it to the chat version just to keep playing but now chat is cutting in and out periodically too. I redownloaded the steelseries GG thing thinking maybe there was a new firmware download or something but I'm not seeing anything. is there a way I can fix this without having to buy a new headset?

Ok. Then I think the best chance for help is the official SS support service. Go to the SS website, login, go on your profile page, select the support tab and press the contact button. Then you have to click your way through the steelseries instant answer bot. If you werent able to find a answer for your question then you can actually contact a real person. If they cant help you then demand a refund or a new Arctis. Maybe its just the specific product that has a bug. Always can happen.

If you use Sonar then you should use the sonar output. If not then the standard Arctis 5 output.

Sonar is the output that is beeing output by the Sonar software

Same here. I lost connection to the Aurora lighting feature on my MSI GE66 Raider laptop after upgrading to version 17 of SteelSeries. Uninstalling and installing version 16 fixes it. But then it just updates to version 17 and breaks again. Installing steelseries directly from msi dragon center fixed it

All you gotta do is uninstall the steelseries folder thing in c drive then launch a quick scan in dragon center then install the steelseries app from dragon center reboot your pc

I have the new 7P+ from a warranty claim, and this headset simply is not working correctly when trying do do multiple things at once. When only connected to discord, audio quality is fine. If I have background music, or am playing games, I get a constant cracking/static that hinders my ability to hear in discord as well as a game or doing anything else at the same time. I have tried plugging the USBC adapter into multiple USBC ports on my computer, as well as doing the exact same with the USB adapter with multiple ports. I have updated my sound drivers, I have done a full network reset on my PC, and have made sure spatial sound is off. I have no idea what the issue or what to do. I am at a loss for why my headset never seems to work properly. I have also tried all of the support steps provided from Steelseries and have had no luck. does anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

I have Arctis Pro with a gamedac and It's currently plugged into my ps5. I also want to be able to hear my laptop at the same time. I messed around a bit and got it to work but i was hearing myself and the only way i've heard to turn that off is to plug my gamedac into my laptop and then connect that to my ps5, but if i do that then i have to use the mic on the ps5 controller which really sucks.
Long story short, does anyone know how to disable sidetone without using steelseries engine on my laptop.

Im having such an annoying problem with chatmix on discord on my arctis 7+. When i put my discord output to sonar chat and turn the dial towards chat, i cant hear game sound, which is fine. When i put the dial towards gaming all the way, it plays my game sound along with discord sound even though it shouldve muted discord sound.

When i put my output to sonar gaming instead and turn the dial towards chat it mutes both discord and game sound and plays both when i turn the dial towards game sound. I dont know what to do anymore. Can someone please help?

I'm new here and dont know if this is the right place. I got a brandnew Aerox 3 wireless. I set up the DPI to 1000 and changed some active illumination the RGB wave and everything is cool. But when I close the settings and reopen them or if I close the whole GG suite and reopen that my mouse resets. If I unplug the aerox it will go back to my setup like i wanted it. What can I do? Is the GG suite broken?

If you live in the EU or Australia you´ve got warranty for 2 years. Otherwise its only one year. And if so it wouldn't be applicable for warranty any more. This only applies if you bought it on Steelseries.com. For any other shop you have to look up its warranty terms. The thing is: They say only manufacturing-caused malfunction is covered. and not wear and tear.

Well. Your CPU is lower than min specs. Performance wise your graphics is stronger than min spec but has less VRAM than needed. RAM is ok. But still I think that might be the problem sadly.

Cuz your PC is assigning the power to the games. And video capture is pretty resource-intense. So it doesnt have enough head-space to make a smooth video file

Hello everyone. Found out about GG Sonar and wanted to try it out. I love the software so far and being able to customize the audio to my liking, but I've lost all control to ChatMix. I have the Arctis 5 with the separate chat wheel. I read that by using Sonar I won't be able to use the chat wheel, that's fine, but all of my audio is being routed to game audio and nothing is being sent to chat audio. I've read a bunch of forums about how to set it up and still all my audio is routed to game audio. If anyone had the same issue before and knows how to fix it please DM me or message here, I'd really appreciate it.

if your arctis 5 headphones have independent channels (game arctis 5, chat arctis 5) you still need to make sure they are selected in your sonar drop down and then make sure you set your windows defaults

Have you tried a different USB port? I know it sounds weird but the LED lights do draw extra from the port for power and it may just be having a fit with the change in lighting

Hello. I've came here to see if anyone can find a solution to my audio problem. I have an Arctis 5 2019 Edition headset (though I only use the headphones, since I have a separate mic setup.). Listening to music is pretty nice with the headset so far, however the audio on games is frustratingly unbalanced.

Any sounds such as wind ambience, footsteps, and gun-handling sound effects are quiet, but gunshots and explosions are extremely loud. It's at the point where I had to turn up the system volume and the mixer on the headset in order for the footsteps to sound audible but that would mean that I would be blowing my ear drums from how loud the gunfire/explosions are.

I've tried everything from turning off 7.1 surround sound, to reinstalling drivers and the engine itself, but it's still not fixed. Enabling loudness equalization on the Enhancements tabs for the Arctis 5 Headset doesn't work either. I'm not sure what is causing this, and I noticed that I've only come across this same problem on 7.1 headsets (I used to own a Logitech G431 that broke, I thought getting another headset would fix the audio problem).

I can plug the headset directly to the audio jack and use the default headphone/speaker drivers as that doesn't have the quiet-footsteps-loud-gunshots problem as I can enabled loudness equalization for it. It's just that I can't seem to have the same loudness equalization on the Arctis 5 drivers and it's really frustrating. I don't wanna buy another headset as that'll be a huge waste of money

To add to this, I may not be 100% sure but is this possibly a driver issue? The problem occurs on all games I play such as Squad, Insurgency: Sandstorm, pretty much shooters that have tons of explosions and gunfire. I don't think it's the game that's causing the problem.

Yes, I have set Sonar to Headphones (Game) for game audio and Headphones(chat) for chat audio. Doing so disables the ChatMix UI in Sonar, and when I try to use my chatwheel connected to my headset all audio comes through the game mix and nothing is coming through chat mix. I've also made sure that the sonar audio was set to default on my computer

How do I enable the ChatMix feature in Sonar?  

Open GG-> Sonar (login required) -> In the Mixer tab, select your Arctis Game endpoint as output device for both Gaming and Chat. Now you will be able to control the ChatMix from Sonar UI. When ChatMix is controlled via Sonar, you will not be able to use the ChatMix feature from the hardware wheel on your device nor on your GameDAC or Transmitter.

That's my initial thought as well, but if that is the case then I still have an issue with Sonar separating chat audio from game audio. I was playing online last night and no matter what audio configuration I did for Sonar all audio was being ported to Game Audio and Chat Audio received nothing.

Nah. I think that's why I don't recommend gaming audio products. Even tho the Steelseries arctis line looks sweet through the line it's the audio quality that counts. And I personally think for that you should just buy good audio-company-products. Audio technica for example. But I don't know how bad it is for you exactly. Try turning off and 7.1 surround simulators, etc. In the game and in Steelseries GG. That's always my first advice but maybe worth a try.

I have had my Artics 5 for a good year now. Recently I have been having issues with Static noises through the headset. When Im playing or watching youtube I constantly get static noises. It is really annoying and I have tried everything to fix it. Unpligging things and plugging the back in, blowing the ports, moving the wire from my PC so it isn't touching any neighbouring wires. Heyo, I have some issues with my Arctis 7+ Wireless, the USB-C transmitter, out of the box it seems to just disconnect several times during a day. When its connected to the included USB-A to USB-C cable it does it constantly, but when plugged directly into a USB-C port in my PC, it seems to do it less frequently. Sorry for taking so long to answer! I do not know specifically the 9x but I have a pro-wireless which looks about the same. Either you have to try to move your earpiece out of the way, which could be inconvenient but it might work. Otherwise you need a TX-7 x 60mm screwdriver to remove the screws behind the ear-muff, and then remove a clip holding the earpiece in place.

a trick that I have done is modify whatever profile you are looking at

then rename it to whatever you want

and then duplicate it so you have a copy

if your pro wireless is still like how my arctis 7 headphones are, they have independent game and chat drivers

Sonar has been making my arctis ultra choppy and my mic super static. Is it a bug? It started two days ago. I have to manually got to engine to toggle it to game mode or whatever but i just went back to the normal realtek input. So, this is the second 7+ ive gotten. The first I had to return because I had a broken model. This one started out fine, however, I'm now encountering the following two issues. Sonar will often forget my headset, so ill join a call and be unable to hear or talk till I open up gg (which, despite having set to open on start up, doesn't always appear to) and then I have to toggle the headset. Sometimes itll show my headset as connected in the settings, sometimes it wont. Either way, I still have to reselect it to get it to work again. The other issue is that the transmitter, despite being plugged in, sometimes needs to be replugged in in order for my headset to connect to my computer. This is kind of annoying. Anyone have these issues/know of fixes (other then getting it replaced again? I dont want to pay for another warranty)

I have a SteelSeries Rival 300 mouse. When I highlight something with the mouse, it does not stay highlighted and immediately disappears once I lift the left mouse button. I tried checking cords but that does not seem to be the issue.

to my knowledge, the game dac lets to you adjust the mix to either game or chat

you will still have to adjust volume as it wont allow them to be independently controlled like a board mixer
