I was getting computer freezes with GG engine + Sonar. So I uninstalled everything and it was fine. Installed only GG and it hasn't froze yet, so I am assuming it is the Sonar software

i know that in some games, Warzone/APEX are the same, you can pick what device to use ingame. just confirm that the GameDac is choosen as the device. dont leave it as default device

Because of probably performance of the GameDac it's either high Res audio or chat Mix. Not both. And you can only use 24bit 96kHz in high Res mode

Hey guys, received my arctis 7+ today and after half of a day the tone for mute/unmute the mic drives me allready crazy. When i Use it wired there is no tone, so I hope you can turn the tone off somewhere in the engine? Does someone know if possible and where? Or at least decrease the volume without making everything else to low.

I don’t think there’s any way to turn the mute/unmute tone off. If it drives you crazy you should totally create a shortcut in discord or something similar.

edit: fixed it. uninstalled steelseries gg, unplugged the wireless transmitter, turn off headphones, restart pc. plug in transmitter, turn on headphones.

Having an issue with Arctis 7+ Game channel being muted. Windows 11. Using latest GG, removed and added drivers, checked Advanced Settings, added A7+ to Sonar for Game and Chat. Checked letting Apps take control. Plugged the dongle into different port. Restarted after all changes.

try going into device manager and disabling it, then re enabling it. also check in game that it is set to come out of arctis game. i had a similar issue with my game dac when after update it would remove the game option and i would have to disable it and reenable it and change it in game too

you can try doing a hardware reset Disconnect any cable from your SteelSeries headset (if you have a wireless version). If you have a wired headset, make...
Carefully remove the cushion on the left ear cup (the side where the mic is).
Locate the reset button and press and hold it for 1 second using a paperclip. The reset button is inside a pin hole.

i know its a pain, try doing what i suggested to someone else earlier. disconnect receiver/transmitter from pc, uninstall GG, go into hardware manager and uninstall all the steelseries audio devices, restart pc and reinstall GG and reconnect transmitter

yeah, if you go into GG you can remove any gif or screen saver so it will just be blank unless you go into settings on the kb

using the square button on your keyboard, hold it down til it pops up with illuminatiojn, use the volume wheel to scroll down to settings, click in by pressing the in the volume wheel, then scroll to the bottom and press using the volume wheel on factory reset

My second monitor (Dell S2340L) is a 1920x1080@60Hz monitor. It's currently on 1024x768 and I can't figure out why. I have tried different cable and reinstalling drivers of both monitor and GPU(3060 ti), but to no avail.

Mind you this started happening after my PC motherboard had a red light on, which I believe indicates that it was in BIOS mode, but I could see nothing as well. Does this have something to do with BIOS? How can I fix this issue?

If I set it to medium it works but loudly, and when I change to any other setting no actual changes happen.

If I set it to high, Sidetone stops completely and wont work again until I go back to medium

I just want to post this as a resource since it happened to me and was quite mindboggling but easy to fix:

Problem description:
My Steelseries Apex 5's stopped working and the backlight started blinking. The keyboard itself noticed inputs since the keys pressed changed colors like I set it to in the engine but Windows didn't recognize any input.

First thoughts:
I reinstalled Steelseries GG, manually uninstall every keyboard driver, even factory reset the keyboard multiple times and installed the latest firmware but the issue persisted.

The solution:
The issue was that my keyboard is connected to a USB switch (I use it for gaming and work) but the USB 3.0 cable (going from switch to my pc) was connected to a USB 2.0 port on my pc. I just installed a new drive and a clean windows and apparently I didn't really pay attention when I crawled under my desk to connect my cables again.

Hey bud, unfortunately nobody here, not even SteelSeries mods/staff, actually have any useful information regarding stock and availability beyond what you can see on the SS website. Sorry you're having issues though, hopefully it all goes through soon.

In terms of how often these things are an issue, with the pandemic and shipping delays the availability of certain things has been all over the place, both with SteelSeries and most other brands. I've noticed it with multiple products, so it's probably not an isolated case if that's what you're asking.

If you want to record videos with higher audio quality I highly recommend to invest in a XLR Microphone with a mixer table.
Something like a Behringer Q502USB with a Behringer XM8500 would give you very high end sound for a fairly low price. <— that was my first setup.

i have a very weird issue. am on a macbook pro m1 (monterey 12.2.1) and have an arctis 7 headset. worked always great for me. i'm using the chat setting for zoom and the game setting for music. but since yesterday the audio quality of chat (listening and microphone) dropped significantly - game setting seems to be fine though. i didn't have the engine software installed so i did that today but it brought no betterment. software version already seems to be 1.19 🤷‍♀️

I don't know about for crackling, but I had audio stuttering problems earlier with my laptop's bluetooth. I had to restart my bluetooth manually using my laptop's power button to return the quality to normal. Not sure if this would help, but it's worth a try.

Hello. I'm using an Apex 3 keyboard. I've had it for a couple of months, and so far it's been fine. Recently I noticed the lights on the keyboard flickering about every five seconds whenever I'm on a game. Besides being a general distraction, this hasn't been a problem. Until today when it began flickering wildly upon loading into a game of Rust. I played rust just yesterday and this didn't happen. Your website recommends a factory reset, but only gives instructions on how to factory reset other models. I cannot find instructions on how to factory reset an Apex 3, even in the manual provided with the keyboard itself.

In case if someone can't permanently change illumination, finally I found solution for me

Hmmm. I just recently started having a weird over the last week. Intermittently, if I'm watching a video in my browser, when my game connects to it's voice chat my audio on my headphones shuts off completely, but keeps power. I have to go into the game settings, deselect my audio device, and then reselect my audio device and that fixes it.

EDIT: Resolved. I installed the Steel Series GG software. Seems to have fixed the drivers from going nuts. No clue what happened though as I've had these things for 5 years working fine without the software

When plugged in it seems to have a fragile connection to whatever device it's on. If I touch the transmitter it stops working until I unplug and re plug it in multiple times. The smallest movement will make it fail.

I got a problem with my Rival 5 that it is jittering sometime. I did uninstall the driver and it was fine untill GG Engine installed it again after a restart. And mouse had an update as well I tested if it is because I use it on surface of my wacom tablet but it also did the same thing if not worse when I removed my tablet from the equation. It's probably the switch. If you're still in warranty time you would probably go to user support on the website and demand a new Apex. If not maybe you could solder a new switch on. But don't quote me on that. I'm not an expert with keyboards. LTT has made a neat video about repairing a broken keyboards like that. It even was a Steelseries one. Hey, I'm new here so not sure if this is the write place to post this but hoping someone can help me. Just purchased an Arctis 7+. also downloaded the Steelseries GG and using Sonar rather than Engine. I primarily play Warzone but having some issue with the presets. If I use the COD preset, the guns sound like they're miles away from me except they're right next to me. What I would ideally like is to have all the sounds there but reduce the amount of noise the guns make and prioritise the sounds of Footsteps & reviving. does anyone have any setting like this that I can use or that they recommend might work best for Warzone? Or if anyone has some good setting for the normal engine that could also be good and maybe ill wait to use Sonar. Thanks 🙂

I bought the apex 7 keyboard from amazon, with red switches. I now feel like I need a less sensitive keyboard, maybe brown switches. or the pro , where you can adjust the actuation to your liking. But I'm past my return date with amazon. Is there anything I can do ?

Hello. Currently I have a huge problem with Sonar on my 7+. And before you say it is early access software, without it 7+ is useless for me.
So, recently, my sound volume became so high that I have to do this. Level at 6% in Windows. Also manual level (set to 25) does not work. 100 or 5 no difference. Yesterday it was okay. I only changed USB port for transmitter

Is this known issue?
To be honest, 7+ is only headset from Steelseries that I though will be good for me. After years of Logitech G93x headsets virtual 3D sound for me is must have, but without Sonar it won't work.
I do not want to return headset, but if software will continue to be that bad, I will switch back to Logitech G headset 😦

Using the WirelessPros on ps5, when set to PS4 I see surround sound on. When set to ps5 does surround sound automatically turn off for the 3d audio?

Or do I have to manually turn off surround in PS4 mode before changing to ps5 mode? Does this make sense the way I’m wording it?

Arctis pro wireless So! I have used this headset for nearly two years no problem. On ps4 pro then ps5, iphone.

Over the last month I had this issue where if I had switched from Tv hdmi sound to headset while the ps5 was on I would get sound through the headset but no mic. A restart on the ps5 would soon rectify this.

However this now wont work, also if Bluetooth to iphone I cant use the mic to dictate/ voice control.

I can get the mic to click it by tapping on the mic loudly or making a scratch/ pinch to the end of mic but it wont pick up voice. I have tried powering all devices off and back on in different orders. Randomly picked it up today and it worked fine as if never had a problem. But gone to use it tonight and its not working again.

I did try to do a firmware update yesterday and it said it needed one. It did say it was complete, but still didnt fix issue. Today I tried to re do firmware and on plugging it in it said. Fatal error with update, ticket sent. But now it wont prompt me or let me try to re install. It kind of shows the headset as up to date.!!!

Plugged it into my pc and downloaded the software updated it then changed the settings then I plugged it back into my xbox and the color shift wasnt working it was just solid. My Arctis 7+ is extremely quiet and I haven't found any fixes for it. it was working just fine the other day then yesterday I couldn't hear it unless I turned the knob on the left all the way up, but even then I could barely hear anything
