Hi @boreal gust I've also got Arctis 7 (but not the 2019 model), the most important about this headset is how to place the mic in front our your mouth. The microphone has a very narrow reception cone, so place it about 3-4 cm from your mouth, and angle it at "right angle" from the surface of your skin, so it's recording only your voice, and not anything around it.

your keyboard remembers the color, so resetting the software wont fix it. I believe you have to change it in the software before the keys gets another color.

Have a look at the "illumination" tab in the Engine app.

You hold down the button just below the scroolwheel, and go into Illumination > Presets by clicking the scroll wheel

i have a bit of questions, i sometimes stream with the Artic 7+ but as soon as i stream when i enter games or when thing are loading the sound cuts of like a stutter. when everything is loaded then i hear game sound good but then when i'm in a DC call with someone and that person is talking then i can't understand the person cuz of sound cuts everytime. everything in the app from steelseries is off. I even tried doing it with a different headset and when i started the same game nothing of the problems above where present. so my question is. Is there anything i might can fix this. or is maybe the headset broken (which i don't think it is but you never know)?

If you're after the absolute best audio quality then you should go with the wired pros + game dac. You're always going to sacrifice quality when choosing wireless. The Pro Wireless may be able to output higher resolution audio with the beefier receiver in the base station instead of just a normal USB dongle but idk for sure

Hello everyone. Frustrated here. I broke my arctis pro + gamedac wired headset, bought a new one. removed old headset, plugged in new one. Steelseries GG said a firmware update was needed, so i did that. Sound quality is amazing! BUT now the mic is incredibly quiet. Ive gone through the typical motions, uninstall GG, remove drivers from registry, restart computer. Reinstall GG, replug headset/gamedac. Checked windows sound settings, everything has mic input at 100%. GG is at 100% and gain high. Still super quiet. Windows mic test is showing a tiny sliver of a bar when i speak. Friends have me at 200% in discord and still sounds like im whispering.

Ive tried calling myself using the headset and leaving a message. Its almost too quiet to hear. I tried steam chat with same result. I placed a service ticket, but am hoping someone here has some solution 🙏 maybe?

hey guys i have a really annoying problem maybe someone knows a fix.
i have a steelseries arctis pro+gamedac headset, and whenever i switch on my pc it is not recognized. I need to disconnect it and reconnect the headset form the pc then it works. Problem is that i cant keep doing this every single time i switch on my pc, because the connection is getting loose and quite frankly its really annoying.

I found a fix for this. I changed the input from PC, to High Res using the game dac menu. Computer did a quick install of that driver or firmware, then i switched it back to PC input and now people can hear me. Must've been a bug in the engine.

Hi, I have an Arctis Pro Wireless and have the following problem: When I use AUX as the audio source (set via transmitter) I can simultaneously hear PC audio and whatever I have plugged in at line IN. But the other way round (PC as source, Line in plugged in) does not work, I then hear only PC audio, Line in seems muted. Is this by design or is there a way around that? Because if I choose AUX as audio source I the two headset devices (game and chat) get combined into one "Arctis Pro Wireless" with worse overall audio. Any help is appreciated.

I can't control anything with GG engine anymore. Well I can push all the buttons I want but the software does nothing at all anymore. EQ and live preview and all the other options are just totally dead. No changes to my headset whatever I do or change. Same problems were up in the version before the current version 14.0.0.

So my Aerox 3 wireless (2022) randomly stopped working last night, it just blinks red. GG says there is a critical update, but every time the update finishes my mouse still doesn't work and it prompts me to update again. I just got my RMA back for my first Aerox 3 two weeks ago and its already acting up again, does anyone have any information on this?

Currently, when using Sonar only it appears that if I enter a Discord call all of my audio (chat + game) cuts out for everything (discord, and windows sounds etc)
Does anyone have any advice? I have the setting for when in a call to do nothing instead of reducing volume, so it's not that...

Also, it works FINE when I disable the sonar channels.

Thanks to @broken quest I found the issue and wanted to document it. I had to uninstall the device driver through device manager entirely, then unplug + replug my headset into a USB port. It also appeared that having it plugged into a 1-to-many USB expansion box also may be part of the issue.

Hey question! it may be dumb but just trying to figure it out. Recently me and my friends got into rainbow so I had to dust off the ol PS4. The only headset I have is my steelseries Arctis Pro. I have it connected via USB I can hear everything great but I've realized it picks up ALL Audio. They can hear any kind of background noise from me picking up a glass or eating chips or joystick moving. Is there something I may have set up wrong? O should i look to get a mic setup for the playstation?

There might be an option for sidetone (live mic monitoring) in the playstaion audio settings, but your best bet is plug the headset into a PC and disable sidetone via Engine and then go back to using it on the PS4. You can also make any adjustments you want to the EQ that'll save directly on the headset

I have a huge issue that I have done so much to try and resolve

My microphone isn't picking up my voice at all. It's only picking up my PC audio entirely, muted or not, music will play and everything and I have not been able to fix it. I have uninstalled drivers and restarted my computer a few times, made sure it was updated with no fix. I have no idea what's going on.

I even plugged it into my controller for my PlayStation and the microphone works fine, so it's something with my computer rather than the headset

When I'm using the Arctis 5 without the Steelseries Engine I don't have issue with it however when I use it, the audio gets delayed for around 500ms or more sometimes. I have this issue for most games and for watching content on the Internet in general.

Unfortunately, there's no native version of GG for linux. There may be some workarounds out there online, but as far as I know it's a no-go on Linux. The only workaround I know of atm would be having a Windows partition on your hard drive that you boot into whenever you need to make changes to a device. Not the best solution, but it is what it is. If you don't make changes to the hardware that often and are mainly concerned with changing RGB settings, there are a bunch of Linux friendly RGB softwares out there that work with pretty much every major hardware brand, including SteelSeries. OpenRGB is one I know works on Linux. SignalRGB is another good one that I'm pretty sure works with Linux too

So, just some more information. When the Sonar is active, the zoom settings are reseted, I can listen the other users, but they can only ear me after some time, but when Sonar is disabled, the mic and the sound is faster, but it still misses for like 5 seconds

Just got the Arctis Pro (wired) with the Chatmix Dial thingy, and I was wondering about its little LED light. I was using the Siberia Elite and its soundcard would go from white to dark blue when the Surround 7.1 was active. Does the ChatMix Dial do the same when it's also active (or the DTS:X)? Right now it's always just light blue/white colour. Does it stay always like this?

EDIT: And yes, I did indeed turn it on on the SS Engine. Asking because I remember hearing a major difference between turning 7.1 on and off on the Elite, but now turning it on/off on the Arctis Pro doesn't seem to change anything from any audio source I play stuff from

Is there anyway to do Instant replay like Nvidia’s clipping stuff? Whenever I use moments I’ll stop playing and end up with 80-100 clips but almost none of them have anything interesting. I want to be able to do the recap clip thing but don’t know how with GG

Just got the 7+ mic and i came from the turtle beach 700 gen 2. Im new to steel series and wondering if im missing something in set up. It sounds like im using my girls $30 mic. Any help would be appreciated. I have the GG app downloaded and im trying to use sonar. Im on pc playing cod vanguard.

do you have a wireless headset it is wireless that is the reason it sounds bad I would recommend getting a separate mic if you really want a good sounding mic.

It is wireless and the mic quality is fine its the gaming audio i cant get right. It sounds really odd. Nothing ive tried so far has made a huge difference. It sounds distorted or muffled. I dont really know how to explain it. It just seems lower quality than my last mic and i know it shouldnt be.

if so that could possibly make it sound muffeld since there is no variation

This is also the first mic ive had to set up on pc the turtle beach ones i had i used a xbox adapter and didnt have to do anything else. They worked great besides they would disconnect randomly so i tried these. Maybe i have a setting messed up somewhere?

Not natively through the SteelSeries software. There's probably some third party software/integrations that might let you do that kind of thing if you look around online a bit

hi, I have a steelseries arctis 9x wireless and for some reason, whenever I join a discord vc the sound quality drops drastically. Everything sound scratchy and a lot of things are choppy. But when I exit it and play a video, everything is back to the good sound quality. I've disconnected and reconnected, but got the same results. It goes back to good quality when I use my computer's internal microphone, but then my microphone would be at bad quality. Any help?

Got a wireless arctis 1, but the dongle cant be plugged in as it is usb-c and while my pc has a usb-c port the dongle is so fat something else is blocking it. Any solve?

So I have an Arctis Pro Wireless that just had one of the headset cups crack, and looking online..it seems to be a fairly common problem, but I'm unfortunately out of warranty. Does anyone have suggestions on any ways to fix it or am I SOL?

what's sad is it seems like it's easy to fix, it's not even the plastic itself but the metal retainer behind the plastic being too small; if it had more surface area it would spread the load out more on the plastic and prevent the issue
