The PS5 sends the audio to the TV over HDMI and the TV outputs the audio over optical

but I'm not 100% sure

If you have a different optical audio source like a tv or old console you could use that to make sure the problem isn't with the transmitter

hello, im having some issues with my rival 650, it has only started connecting if its directly plugged into the computer. it no longer registers if its connected through the wireless feature.. i bough it in march of 2021. ive looked through the help guide but its not answering my issues, and it wont reconnect if i push the connect button. do i need to make a ticket for this issue? i bought it through steelseries from amazon

I am having issues with my arctis 7+ it shows in the GG app that audio is going to it and no audio is playing in the headset. I've had them for 4 days and it happens each day that I use them. I have had some luck with just unplugging the transmitter and then plugging it in but I have not had that luck tonight. Any other potential fixes I can do?

I'm getting sound issues with the Arctis 9, theres sound but its extremely low and I have to turn the volume all the way up to hear things properly. 75% of the dial is basically useless.

After that, select your headphones, and there holds all the volume settings, and a somewhat true Live Mic Preview.

Hello SteelSeries community! Recently purchased the Arctis Pro + Gamedac. I would like to say my experience has been enjoyable as it has been with my other SteelSeries stuff, but sadly that is not the case. EVERYTIME I turn my computer off and turn it back on the Gamedac and Gamedac chat disappear from the "Playback" tab in "Sounds" through trial and error the only way I can seem to get it to come back and work is by unplugging the Gamedac multiple times until they both show up... It sounds like I'm not the only one with these issues. I've found a bunch of reddit threads and different support threads full of users with the same issues. Does anyone know of a fix to this issue?

I’m running Windows on a Bootcamp partition of a MacBook Pro and so SteelSeries is blaming Microsoft, Microsoft is blaming Apple, and Apple is blaming Microsoft

I’m being told it’s an issue of the Mac Bluetooth controller or whatever not playing nicely with Windows. Which I totally believe cause I’ve had issues with the headset, both Xbox controllers I have, and a Bluetooth mouse that all work fine in the Mac OS but I don’t know why sometimes the Windows bluetooth works fine, and why it can output but not input on that device

If you are using Sonar then it's normal, they added boost to mic so that it is hearable in Moments now (kind of a bug, since it should be done so only Moments have it louder)

heyo so i have been trying to update the firmware of my rival 650 and it updates and then when i reconnect it it just keeps asking to update the firmware, now this has caused so the mouse is unusable wirelessly, and i have went through every step, reinstalling the engine, using a older version, reseting the mouse, and yes even checked device manager and windows updates are all updated, any fix for this or do i need to contact support beacuse i have been trying to fix it for 5 days straight maybe and yes i have tried updating it on another computer 🙂

GG is stull useless crap that was forced upon users who probably don't need another capture program. I'd much rather have a driver with as small a footprint as possible. As Steelseries likes to advertise as being for "Pro Gamers" I would assume their target audience also just wants a barebones driver to minimize input lag. So as nice at it could be to upgrade drivers, I'd rather downgrade to keep unnecessary crap off my system 🙂

Hello, I've bought Steelseries Arctis 7 Wireless headphones from Amazon. They've arrived at friday, I tested 'em out, they're really comfortable but I they won't charge. The microphone is becoming red and all, and it seems that they're charging, but Steelseries GG shows otherwise. This is the second day when I am trying to charge them, tried changing the usb, nothing helps. The headphones aren't dead, but the steelseries app shows one bar. Do you know what to do? Because I've contacted Amazon support service and they've suddenly put these headphones on refund without me knowing.

*EDIT - Yesterday I have tried factory resetting them, welp, that didn't help at all.

No not the transmitter, there is a m icro usb to usb cable that came with your headset. Plug the micro usb into the headset, then plug the usb directly into the pc. This must done the first time you connect the headset, as well as anytime there is a software or firmware update for the headset

there are also different settings there such as noise reduction etc that might mess it up as well tho, u should just work it out somehow what works best for you

I have a Arctis 7+ here with the USB C wireless dongle, and I went though the firmware update with plugging them both in with their respective wires, and it didn't work before or after.

GG/Engine just says "Reconnect Headset" while I have the dongle connected and headset blinking yellow, but the headset only relays mic noise and it isn't playing anything from my actual computer, and I read though a lot of the support articles but none helped me.

Hello; I've been using steelseries Moments for a while for shadowplay, and i have a lot of clips, but for some reason, when i scroll further to view more clips, the whole program gets more slower, it takes longer to view/open clips, to where it's almost unbearable. I have to restart my SteelSeriesGG overall to get it working good again, but the issue repeats itself after scrolling further down again.

So this isn’t actually a result of throwing headsets and smacking it down. I read online that the fitting of the earpieces were really really weak after getting the headset. I thought, yeah but those people probably are people who throw headsets or smack them or whatever. I don’t I want to maintain the nice stuff that keeps my gaming experience sublime. Arctis Pro, Apex Pro, Rival 600 wired, even Steelseries headset stand, but the gamedac later (didn’t work as well to my dismay) and owned other steelseries like the rival 110 and 310 before this. So yes I am nice to my equipment and this one is the first to fail. I did notice a small small crack on this side before and used extra care since then with simply putting on and off the headset. Well I put it off my head now for it to shatter to pieces. Apparently the “fitting” of the cup to the strap isn’t more than the tiniest spacer I have ever seen, as shown in the 3th picture. So that means that the whole weight, movement and pivoting actions all rest on that tiny spacer. All the pressure is coming onto such a tiny area. So yeah the plastic will break after a while there is nu further support for it, there’s nothing in the cup nor on the fitting next to this one small spacer. I am at a loss for words how such a amazing company does indeed make so low durability headsets, the performance is great but the durability of at least the headsets seems really low. While the keyboards and headset straps do get something of a metal which is way stronger, why not make the fittings reinforced as well?

They're completely fine when in red and green settings, blue looks yellow-ish, purple makes them look red and they're also yellow in white

Hey, I have the same issue. This isn't a good fix, but what you can do is run a command prompt, and use "netsh winsock reset" only when the program is fully closed. Run that, and turn on GG, and it __could __ work. You may need to restart computer and your issues will very likely be back after your fix, or when you close the program again (shutdown counts). It should be a soft fix until you and I get support, gl! :)

well "chat" would be the audio going to your headset, so things like Discord or Skype, etc, things that your friends are saying. Microphone is what controls what your friends hear from you.

Hi,
I am having issues with my Artics pro wireless bluetooth pairing and connection.

When I press the Bluetooth button the light next to it flashes blue but doesn't do the audio cue that it used to. It won't connect to any of my devices (laptop / phone etc).
To clear up any confusion the Bluetooth has worked yesterday, but today not amymore.

When checking the box manually under BT pairing I get: "headset bt is off" ---altough the blue light is visibly blinking.

I`ve done this:
-Unplugged the box / shut the headset
-Device Manager
-Deleted the device everywhere I could find it
-restart the PC
-install steelseries app / replug the box

But still nothing happened, my phone, or my laptop could not see hance connect to he headset via BT

I`ve also made 3 factory resets but the issue still persists.
Do you have any ideas?

I'm using an Apex 7 TKL. If I have the lights on the keyboard turned on and something plugged into the USB passthrough it causes my laptop's speakers to produce a humming sound. If I turn the lights on the keyboard off then the humming goes away. It didn't do this when I first got it but it just started happening today. What do you guys think I need to do to fix this? So my friend is using an Arctis 1 Steelseries headset and recently his headset started to malfunction a bit... His headset would not play any sound OR get detected in the device manager (Well there was some sort of steelseries sonar thing, and other speaker stuff, but he tried to switch through all off them and neither did anything. He has tried pluggin the headset into his phone, and it worked! But on the PC it wouldn't and he has tried using other headphones and it worked. So it may be some hardware issue causing the headphones to not play... Anyone got any ideas?

Hey, I just got a wired Rival 3 mouse that was working absolutely perfect yesterday and of course just my luck that it isn't now. I did all of the things suggested on the support page other than trying the mouse with a different computer because well, I don't have anything like that. then yes i think you need to wait for the item to ship. their website puts a hold on your card until it ships, at which point it'll charge you fully for the device. so once the item ships and the charge is accepted, i think you'll get the key

It'll probably show up as Realtek HD Audio. The PC won't recognize it has an Arctis 3 specifically since a 3.5mm jack can't transmit a data signal, but if you set the Realtek option as your default system sound, audio should come out of the headphones

I've run into a really weird issue which I'm now leaning towards being a steelseries problem because I just updated to the latest win10 and it didn't fix the problem

Just yesterday, as far as i remember I've always had my playback device set as the steelseries headphones game one, and last night it stopped playing audio for youtube

I switched to the steelseries chat playback device, which produces audio but now for games (multiple, not just 1) the audio will randomly and very often fade away into being mute

Then it will abruptly pop back in at my normal volume

Discord doesn't have any issue with either playback
